Speaker 1:

We've been on this journey together and there's a word from the Lord today, acts, the second chapter, verse 1 through 4, is what I'm going to read. I want to help all of us to understand something what we are experiencing now in our mind, body, soul and emotions is a setup for what's about to come next, and emotions is a setup for what's about to come next. Sometimes we go to church and we get one or the other and we don't get both. We'll get a word, we'll get the information, but there is not this pouring out. Or we will get the pouring out, but there is not the word. Because if I just pour out and I don't get the word, most likely I'm going to be back in the same posture the next week because I didn't get what I needed to fully break it. Does that make sense? See, the word will uproot some stuff. Um, you may cut down the tree that's been causing you problem, but if you don't dig the root of it up, it's the word. Our, our, our emotional expression have chopped some trees down today, pastor, but I'm here to tell you that this word is about to do. To finish it off, say god, finish what you started. Tell him, say lord, finish what you started. He, he started he. That worship chopped the tree down. That worship chopped the tree down. That worship chopped the tree down. That worship chopped the tree down. Matter of fact, I'm going to give about 60 more seconds for the worship to chop the tree down. I'm going to let the worship chop the tree down. Yeah, yeah, the worship is chopping the uh-oh, the worship is chopping. Uh-oh, the worship is chopping the tree down. Yeah, yeah, we got to chop it down. Now. I just chopped down a stronghold. Somebody just chopped down a proclivity. It just got chopped, it just got chopped. Somebody tell him it just got chopped, it just got chopped. Our worship chops it down. And now the word, the word is about to uproot it, because if we don't unroot it, if we don't unroot it, what we just chopped down will soon return.

Speaker 1:

Acts, the second chapter, verse 1 through 4 same text from last week, but with fresh revelation. You read the Bible more than once or twice. You discover that you can get fresh revelation over and over and over again out of the same text. Did y'all know that? And I've started to learn, as I journey with God, that sometimes we need to slow down and marinate on it because you couldn't get it all in just one sermon. So the Lord said bring them right back to where you left them last week because he just was starting something. And I believe with your full attention and your prayers, we will see a supernatural move of God in this place. I believe that by faith in Jesus' name. But it takes every last one of us to pray that way. It takes every last one of us to believe that way. Acts the second chapter, verse one through four. It is our custom here to read the word of God together. Let's do that ready set read.

Speaker 1:

On the day of Pentecost, all the believers were meeting together in one place. Suddenly there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. Then what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them and everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability. And my sisters and my brothers, the Lord is saying that too many of us left here last week. And my sisters and my brothers, the Lord is saying that too many of us left here last week we were warmer, but we still weren't hot enough. So the Lord said bring them back one more again and remind them that it's time to feel the fire. Can you turn to somebody and tell them that it's time to feel the fire? It's time to feel the fire. Can you turn to somebody to tell them that it's time to feel the fire? It's time to feel the fire. You, you may be seated in the presence of our lord family. Um, it is, uh, it is somebody, uh, one of the I think it was a was a new elder that recently joined the church in our new partners class asked me a question Pastor, what can we pray about for you?

Speaker 1:

And I was honest and I said well, there's a lot of things, but the one thing that is just on my mind right now is that when the people of God come into the house of God, they experience supernatural change, uprooting change. The Lord is saying I want to do that and then some, but you've got to help the people understand they got to get close to the fire. That's the analogy, which is I'm telling you that you got to, in this season, have such an encounter with God that you become filled with the Holy Spirit like never before. And then the Lord said well, you have an amazing group of people that I allow you to serve, he says, and they are hungry. But the question is, do they truly understand what it is that they are hungering for? He said if you help them to understand what it is that makes you run, they ain't got to run because you run, but at least they'll know why you run.

Speaker 1:

If you help them to understand what makes you lay on the dirty floor that a thousand folk can walk down at any time, at any place, you help them to understand what kept you, what you couldn't keep yourself. Help them to understand what changed you in the middle of your mess. Help them to understand how I have been walking with you on your journey. It would help them to understand why they need the fire. That's my goal today, brittany. That's my goal today is to help people understand why they need the fire, because I'm starting to realize, while there are some people that reject moves of God, some really just need a deeper understanding. And today, pastor Chris, I just want to help people get a deeper understanding of the fire. When we refer to the fire, we're talking about the fire of the Holy Spirit. And so for you to understand the fire of the Holy Spirit, you got to understand who the Holy Spirit is. Uh, have to understand when we refer to Holy Spirit for us, we're not referring to an it, we're referring to a person when we see the Holy Spirit.

Speaker 1:

The Holy Spirit is God's power in action. The Holy Spirit is God's love on the move. The Holy Spirit is a creative Shout out to all the creatives in the room, dr Colleen, the Holy Spirit is God's love on the move. The Holy Spirit is a creative Shout out to all the creatives in the room. Dr Colleen, the Holy Spirit is a creative. We know this because the Holy Spirit is mentioned in the book of Genesis. When God decided to create the earth and create mankind, he said let us us, you know to us, god the Father, god the Son, god, the Holy Spirit, god. Let us create, you know to us god the father, god the son, god, the holy spirit, god. Let us create man in our envy. I want to talk to the creatives in the room. Sometimes you have a writer's block, sometimes your creativity is blocked because you just need a fresh encounter with the holy ghost any artist's ability to take a blank canvas and draw a picture on, it becomes, comes, because we are made in the image of god and the holy spirit is a creator.

Speaker 1:

We understand that the holy spirit is spoken about in the old testament and is referred to as the, the ruach of god, and in the new testament, the pneuma of god. What does that mean? It is the breath of God, which means. That's why sometimes you may not notice, but even when I'm praying, my prayer for the people I serve is that God will breathe on you. So when I'm saying God breathe on you, it's because when I look in the Old Testament and I see the move of the Holy Ghost, it was the breath of God that gave us life. So that means sometimes I see that you may be going through something and I said Lord, just breathe on her, breathe on him, because the breath of God will give you life. Somebody say I need this fire, yeah, yeah, yeah. If you ever went through stuff and they ever got the breath knocked on you, out of you, every now and then you need somebody to breathe on you.

Speaker 1:

The bible also tells us that the holy spirit is the pneuma of god. It means the, the wind of god, and, and all of us have experienced wind, and you know that wind has some power to shift some stuff. Wind has the power to blow some doors open. Wind has the power to blow some doors open. When has the power to move stones away. When has the power to make sure that God's will is accomplished in your life? Well, one of the great acts of the Holy Ghost that I enjoy is found in the book of Ezekiel. In the book, god takes the prophet down to the Valley of Dry Bones. The Valley of Dry Bones is this place where everything is dead the, the. The. It represents death. The Valley of Dry Bones represents what has died in your life. There are some stuff in your life that now lives in the Valley of Dry Bones. You know how.

Speaker 1:

I know that because you don't even talk about it anymore. You remember the time they used to ask you about what it is that you were going to do or what you had on your heart to do, and you would tell them, real plain I'm going to do this because it took a long time for it to happen and you tried it once and it failed. You've gotten to the point. You don't talk about it anymore. Don't ever stop talking about the fact, woman of God, that you want to have a child, if that's what God has placed in your heart to do. Don't stop talking about the fact that you want a business, if that's what God has placed in your heart to do. Don't ever stop talking about the fact that you want to try love again, if that's what God has placed in your heart to do.

Speaker 1:

I'm here to tell you that, until your last giving breath, don't ever stop talking about the thing that God has placed in you, because when you stop talking about it, you know where it resides in the valley of dry bones. He takes them to the valley of dry bones where all of the dead stuff lied, and it literally was the death of the Israeli army. It was the death of the people of God because they had went through life and life won. And he's looking at these bones that had been in that valley so long that it looked like that it was too late for those things. Anybody know what that looks like. Y'all ever been somewhere and they said it was too late for you, that it wasn't going to work out, that it was too late for you to do it.

Speaker 1:

Somebody knows what I'm talking about, that's the valley of dry bones, and I want to see something and help you to understand the power of the Holy Ghost, even in the middle of a dry and dead situation. Now the prophet is looking at God and God is looking at the prophet and they look at these bones. By now they've turned colors, because if you ever seen bones, they they get brittle and they turn colors and and that means that there is no comeback for these bones there. There's no calcium left in these bones, there's no marrow in these bones, there's no oil on these bones, there's no tendons on these bones. These bones are dead and been dead for a long time. I'm talking really about your situation. They said that there was no calcium left in you. They said that there was no marrow left in your ministry. They said that there were no tendons left on the bone and they said that it was over for you.

Speaker 1:

I know I'm preaching to somebody in this room, real good, and when you are in the valley of dry bones, where everybody has forgotten about you, the picture of you that they had on the front of the T-shirt, they've forgotten about you. At this point, the thing that they said well, I will always be there with you. They've forgotten about you at this point, and there is nothing but death all around you. They've forgotten about you at this point and there is nothing but death all around you. And it's at this point where God looks at the prophet and asks him a question Can these dry bones live? Isn't it just like God in the middle of something to ask us a question Can these dry bones live? Can I ask you a question? Can you dream again? Can I ask you a question, elder David Pierce, is it possible for you to make a comeback? Now? You ask the world. The world may say that it's too late for you.

Speaker 1:

I enjoy the prophet's answer because he didn't give a positive affirmation. And he didn't give a negative affirmation because sometimes real talk, we don't know. And so he looks at God and said Lord, only you know and that's what some of us are we in a situation said Lord, only you know what's going to work out in light of what's going on at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Only you know what's going to happen. As it relates to what I'm going through, personally, I want to be faithful, but the truth of the matter is you hadn't shown me what the end is going to be. And I think the answer was acceptable to God, waylon, because God did not reject the prophet.

Speaker 1:

He gave the prophet some instructions. He says I need you to speak to the bones and not just ordinary language. He says that I need you to prophesy to the bones. There are too many of you all that are speaking, but you're not prophesying. When I speak, it comes from what I want, but when I prophesy it comes from the throne room. There is this deposit that comes down and God gives me what to say. He tells me just what to say. I'm not going to say any more. I'm not going to say any less. I'm going to speak what he has declared and all of a sudden there's a shifting in a dead space. What do you mean, ezekiel?

Speaker 1:

He starts to prophesy to what the people said was dead, and as he started to prophesy there was a rattling in the dead space. I want to tell somebody in the spirit that there's a rattling that's happening in your dead space. Can I tell you that again? You thought it was over, they counted you out, but there's a rattling that's happening in your dead space. I wish I had some worshipers that could feel that from the depths of your soul that God just gave you the vision back. He just gave you the dream back. There's a rattling that's happening in the dead space. And when there's a rattling that's happening in the dead space, here comes the glory of the Lord, sweeping through the valley. What do you mean? Here comes the Holy Ghost, because the Bible says that from the east and the west there was a wind that came through the valley and the bones had to stand up and the tendons had to come back together.

Speaker 1:

I want to speak here comes a wind in this house. There's a wind that's going to hit Chosen City today and you're about to stand up and some hearts about to come back together. You're about to stand up and be what God has called you to be. You know why? Because of the power of the Holy Ghost, and that's why I'm telling you you need this fire. Somebody say I need this fire. You need this fire, the Holy Spirit. He's also referred to in the New Testament as our comforter. He's also referred to in the New Testament as our comforter. When Jesus was preparing to depart, he reminded his disciples that he would not leave them comfortless. He said that the Holy Spirit would walk alongside them, the paraclete one that comes alongside just when you need him the most. And I want to say something to someone this week that's dealing with a challenge or a decision that you got to make. The reason you need this fire today is because of what you are assigned to do tomorrow. You are going to need the Holy Spirit walking aside you because God is about to open yet another door and on the other side of this door there's a greater weight for you. I know I'm preaching to a few of you that are about to hit elevation. On the other side, there's a greater weight and there's a greater responsibility and you're going to need him to walk alongside you, because sometimes it's going to feel like you're walking by yourself. Am I talking to somebody? You're going to need the Holy Ghost right up close to you. Somebody say I need this fire Because every time God elevates you, it comes with a different weight, it comes with a different target and you're going to do it, and you're going to do it big, and His name is going to be glorified, but you're going to need the help of the Lord. Somebody say I need this fire. I need to talk to the people in the room that's about to be elevated to let you know that when you hit the promotion, when you hit the new next, when you open the doors, I see the Holy Spirit in the barbershop. I see the Holy Spirit in your business. I see the Holy Spirit on your next job evaluation. I see Holy Spirit working in Indeed for those applying for jobs. I see the Holy Spirit. There is about to be opportunities. There's about to hit this house because God is about to position his people so that you can do what needs to be done. It's too long that we got demons and imps in positions that belong to the people of God. And he says if you get close enough to the fire, I'm about to move some folk out the way and put the kingdom people where they're supposed to be.

Speaker 1:

Somebody said I need this fire. I need this fire and because of this fire and the necessity of this fire, y'all pray for me. I promise you, I can't even hardly stand it up here today, and y'all knew me. I don't just talk like this to talk like that, but I feel something in the room and I'm just telling you, I'm just trying to tell you. If every last one of us come with this, I pray that God show them how I feel so they can get a little bit of the. I feel him in here. I can't even hardly stand it in the room. I can't even hardly stand it because the glory is in the room. And he said if we draw unto him, he'll draw unto us. I need some people that say I feel what you feel, pastor. I feel him in the room.

Speaker 3:

I need to worship and say I feel him in the room.

Speaker 1:

I feel him in the room. I feel him in the room. We need this fire. Somebody say we need this fire.

Speaker 2:

Somebody say we need this fire.

Speaker 1:

If not one other person ever joined this church. If my life work could be that everybody in this room got filled with the Holy Ghost, then my labor shall not be in vain. It's too many times that we can have 10,000 people in a room but folk ain't filled with nothing. Do y'all not realize that if every person in this room, every child in this, in this sanctuary, every adult in this sanctuary got filled with the Holy Ghost, we could change this entire state. That's what the Holy Ghost will do. Somebody said I need this fire. Ah, god is saying he's going to help us to get there.

Speaker 1:

Acts, the first chapter. The writer is an individual by the name of Luke. Luke is writing to an individual by the name of Theophilus. Some say it's kind of like he's writing a letter to a judge, trying to let the judge know and articulate the fact that the Holy Ghost is real. Jesus is the savior of all. He's trying to articulate these points and it's interesting to articulate this point.

Speaker 1:

The first thing he starts to write about is the power of the Holy Ghost. The first thing he starts to write about is the power of the Holy Ghost. Now, I want you to catch this. If I'm writing something to an official that could potentially arrest me or have my life taken or something to that effect. I'm not going to write about anything that's not real or anything that I don't have evidence of, because my life is on the line. Does that make sense? He's just not writing a fable here. He's writing to prove that God is who he says that he is, and it's amazing that the first thing he he could have came out talking about the miracles of Jesus, he, he could have came out talking about stuff, but, Elder Jay, the first thing he wanted to talk about was the work of the Holy Ghost. Because the writer understood that everything else that happens in my life it starts with being filled with this power, life, it starts with being filled with this power. So he starts to write and he goes and he says that Jesus, after he rose from the grave, the Bible says he spent 40 days. Somebody say 40. He spent 40 days with his disciples, proving to them that he was alive and teaching them about the kingdom.

Speaker 1:

This is why I had to slow down as much as I feel I don't know what they're doing. It ain't gonna work today. I don't know what they're doing. It ain't gonna work today. I don't know what they're doing. It ain't going to work today. I don't know what they're doing. It ain't going to work. It ain't going to work, not today. Not today. See what I'm talking about.

Speaker 1:

I'm trying to show y'all something Soon as I want to start teaching about the Holy Spirit. Here we go, we rebuke you, satan, right now, in the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus. So the reason I had to slow down as much as I feel his glory and his presence in here, because I'm doing what Jesus did Before there was this outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

Speaker 1:

He spent 40 days teaching them about the kingdom. That's Acts 1. He literally said you're going to have this experience like never before, but it's going to start with an understanding, a deeper understanding, and that's my prayer. That's why God brought me back to this text, to help you all get a deeper understanding of what God is saying. And then, after 40 days, he he's getting ready to ascend and after they are eating a meal, he says listen, don't leave Jerusalem until you receive the power of the Holy Ghost. I want to talk to some of you all in this room. Don't do yet another thing in this earth. Don't try to start nothing, don't try to be nothing until you are filled with the power of the Holy Ghost. Now, for those that that may sound churchy to it's because Jesus said this, because he loved them so much to understand that they had so much opposition against them that if they went without the Holy Ghost, they would surely be defeated. But when I operate in the spirit, when I operate with the Holy Ghost, the Bible reminds me that there are more for me than there are against me. Somebody say that there are more for me than there are against me.

Speaker 1:

I'm reminded of the prophet in the Old Testament. I believe it was Elijah. I sometimes get the names twisted up between Elijah and Elisha, but I believe it was Elijah that was mentoring his young protege to come up and what was happening was, uh, a prophet is a seer and and this prophet could see, uh, the every move that the enemy makes. That's why god gives people the gift of operating in the prophetic. That's why we're going to have this ministry in formations class, because everybody is not called to preach, but some of you may have the gift of, of prophecy, and some of you may have the gift of teaching, and some of you may have the gift of healing and some of you may have the gift of teaching and some of you may have the gift of healing. And we need these gifts because there's a whole lot that's coming against us. And this prophet was a seer and he could see the move of the enemy. There was an enemy, there was an army trying to take down Israel. He could see every move and he reported to the Israelites.

Speaker 1:

The king, I believe, of the Syrian army got so mad that he said there's a snitch among us. That's what he said. He said snitches, get snitches. Who, who, who, who keep telling the Israelites every move that I make. He said there got to be one of you. He said call my generals out, because one of you.

Speaker 1:

Every time I got a plan and they said king, we, we, we clap real talk, we keep it, keep it in honor, we ain't snitching, he said, but they have a seer in the group. He said a seer, one that is filled with the holy ghost, that can see the enemy's move before it even happens. And so the king said well, the only way we're going to defeat the people of god is that we got to defeat the people of God's prophets. That's why the head of any church, anybody always going to come under attack because the enemy wants to defeat the head, because if I can defeat the head I could kill the body. So they devise a plan and they go to the prophet Elijah's house and his protege is in the room and he runs as Elijah is in the back.

Speaker 1:

Ain't worried about nothing. See what happens when you get filled with the holy ghost you start worrying about stuff. I ain't worried about nothing. It ain't like the enemy ain't gonna come, he gonna come. But when I'm filled with the holy ghost I remember the word of God. The word of God, I said, didn't never say it right, that the weapon would not form. The word of God, the word of God, I said didn't never say it, right, that the weapon would not form. The word of God just said what it won't prosper. And because I know it may form but it's not going to prosper, I need somebody to get eight hours of sleep tonight. Who ain't got eight hours in a long time? And I'm here to help you to get filled with the Holy Ghost so you can have a good night's sleep that you ain't had in a long time. So you can have a good night's sleep that you ain't had in a long time. I speak a good night's sleep into your life. Do you know what rest going to do for you tonight? Oh wee, I want to speak that into your life. Your bed going to be comfortable, the temperature going to be the right thing. You going to have that little fan on, because some of y'all still got to have the fan on. But the other way it go, you going to sleep good tonight. He in the back, chilling because he ain't worried about nothing. His protege run up and said they surrounded the house. Some of you remember the story. He said that the enemy has surrounded us because they've discovered that you are a seer. And Elijah says something interesting, he said and this is the power of the Holy Ghost. He said, lord, open his eyes so that he can see, because I ain't worried about nothing. I slept good last night. I got my coffee this morning. I ain't worried about nothing. Open his eyes so he can see I slept good. I ain't worried. I know I got bills to pay. I know't worried about nothing. Open his eyes so he can see. I slept good. I ain't worried. I know I got bills to pay. I know they talking about inflation going up. I'm still going to get my house this year Open.

Speaker 1:

Some of y'all need to pray for your spouse, for your family, to say open their eyes so that they can see. Yeah, that's what you ought to pray Lord, open my children's eyes so they can see what I ain't worried about, baby, it's going to be all right. Open their eyes. I wish we had some prayers in the room. Say Lord, open our eyes so we can see what's about to happen. And he prays that the Lord will open his eyes. And when he opens his eyes eyes he sees something very amazing. He sees that there are more for them than there are against them. He sees that, even though the enemy has surrounded their house, the kingdom army, the angels of the lord, had surrounded the enemy.

Speaker 1:

What am I trying to say? I'm trying to say I want to talk real specifically to some of you that came in with some worry today the lord is now opening your eyes so so that you can see that there are more, there is more for you than there is against you. And then, when God opens your eyes, you start to realize that if God be for us, then what? Who can be against us? I need some worshipers in the room that'll celebrate that. You may have me in your target. You may be trying to take me out. You may not think I'm the most qualified. You may not think I'm the best for the position. You may think it belongs to somebody else, but if God be for us, who can be against us? Somebody say I need this fire, I need this fire, I need this fire. That's why you need this Holy Ghost fire.

Speaker 1:

And as they are praying and they are waiting, jesus ascends to the throne room. And they are waiting because they have at least a glimpse of what they're waiting for. And I want to talk to some of you all who say man, I'm really trying, trying to understand the Holy Spirit. I want to let you know that he's worth the wait now. So I don't shock the conscious of any of the good baptists in the room.

Speaker 1:

I do believe that at the moment of salvation the Bible teaches that it's at that moment we receive the Holy Spirit, because the Holy Spirit is the seal of our salvation. The Bible teaches that without the Holy Spirit we're not saved. But there's a reason that they use language like being filled with the Holy Spirit. See, the problem is nobody never said you didn't have it. We just saying that you run around here on E. Yeah, you, you, you got enough gas in the tank to get to your job, but you ain't got enough that gas in the tank to get to your divine destination.

Speaker 1:

And I'm trying to help some people in this room to stop walking around and living life on E. You make it back to church just barely because you got them like y'all remember when gas was like a dollar, you put a little dollar in the tank just to make it to the other side with some of y'all Y'all too bourgeois for that. I forgot it's Steel Creek. Y'all don't know nothing. Y'all don't know nothing about that. They don't know. I'm not bad, I forgot where I was. But I need some saints that got up yesterday that know, remember when you put just enough in there to get what you're trying to go, and then you click that thing a little bit more time. Click up, click up, up. Then you shake the handle just a little bit more. I need some folk that's been there to know what I'm talking about and God is saying that has got you where you are, but operating on E ain't going to get you the way I'm trying to take you. So I'm trying to encourage you that every last one of us need to be filled afresh with the power of the Holy Ghost. And here's the problem of the room. There's a crowd of people in here who are new and are open to the move of God, and God is going to fill many of you today in Jesus' name. He's already starting to fill Because you came and you are open to the move of God. But there's another crowd, this other crowd.

Speaker 1:

Y'all have been walking with God so long that y'all think y'all got the Holy Ghost figured out. You've been walking with God so long that you think that you know everything. It is about church. That's a dangerous place to be because you have gotten to the point where you can't learn nothing. Nobody can tell you nothing. You got it all figured out.

Speaker 1:

But I want to break that barrier so that even some of my folk that have been in the church a long, a whole time, you may be a candidate for compensation, if you know this phrase right here. God is good and all the time. See, you've been in church a long time, so I'm talking about you might be a candidate for what I'm talking about. What I'm saying is is that it's possible that the move of God becomes routine to us, it becomes a religious ritual, it becomes what we do. In comparison to the people that come in like babes that are hungry. They say I don't know the Old Testament from the New Testament, but I just want to be closer to them, because there are some of us. We know the Greek, the Hebrew and the Aramaic, but we ain't got no feeling of the Holy Ghost. And there has to be a shift in this house where everybody goes into his presence like a babe in Christ. Ain't no superstars in here, ain't no subject matter experts in here, but the Holy One.

Speaker 1:

And if every last one of us come as an empty fountain, if every last one of us come empty and say fill me up, god, until I overflow. God will move in this place like we've never seen him move before. Somebody say fill me up, fill me up, god, fill me up. And they understand what they are waiting on. And they are waiting on this feeling with great expectation. Men and women of god, I speak prophetically. There are some of you that came in today with great expectation and I got a great uh response for you that you're not here by happenstance or coincidence. You're here because god is about to match and exceed your expectation. He, he's about, he's about to do something in the next few minutes that is going to be life-changing. It is so. In Jesus' name, I stand 10 toes down on. What we are experiencing today is changing lives now, henceforth and forevermore. You need to understand that, because that's why they waited, because they understood what they were waiting for was going to change everything. 40 days go by and they didn't know how long, but they knew that it was worth the wait. And I want to talk to somebody and say I know you don't know how long it's going to be, but God is saying that it is worth the wait. What do you do when you are waiting on God to move. Well, they went into a posture of worship. They went into a posture of prayer. Can I encourage people in this house that are waiting for God to move to go into a posture of worship, into a posture of prayer? And now can I shift your mind away from the things that you need in the natural, because we all need things in the natural, we all need God to move in the natural, real talk. But I'm trying to get you into a spiritual realm. You know why? Because the Bible says if we seek ye first, the kingdom of God and his righteousness, then all these things shall be added unto us. And sometimes we get so focused on what we need in the natural because these are real world things that we need. But I'm trying to make your mind shift. There has to be a shift in this house right now that your mind is not on the stuff that you need from God. It is not right now on the fact that I got to figure out how to pray my child's tuition. It is not on the fact that I have a court coming up in a few weeks. It is not on the fact that I have a cancer in my body. There has to be a shift in my mind right now to focus on the Spirit of God, because it is in a supernatural realm that it'll flow down and fix everything in the natural. We got to shift our mind. Are y'all shifting your mind? I'm trying to get you to shift your mind Because as they were waiting on God listen, they weren't waiting on God for a job, they weren't waiting on God for a mate. These are beautiful things but their mind had shifted that. They were waiting on God for a gift, a supernatural encounter. And that's why I'm trying to get y'all mind to shift to put that stuff down. God's going to take care of that. But there has to be a change in your mind right here, right now, that I'm not worried about that.

Speaker 1:

My mind is on things of God. Are y'all mind on things of God? Your mind should be on feeling. Somebody say fill me up. Y'all talk to your mind. Say my mind is on being filled. Say it like you mean it. Come on, say my mind is on being filled. Now y'all playing with me. I'm going to find me another church. Y'all say my mind is on being filled. See, y'all got to go to war. But some of y'all mind Y'all could have said everything else, but I said my mind is on being filled. Everybody said my mind. See, you got to go into warfare because the enemy don't want you to put your mind on being filled. Put your mind on your job, put your mind on your marriage, put your mind on your health, but he don't want you to put your mind on being filled with the Holy Ghost. I'm going to try this. We better take the roof off. Everybody said my mind, and it's all being filled. Yeah, we got the right mind now, baby, we got the right mind now. And when my mind is on being filled with the power of the holy ghost, here comes the glory of the lord. Uh, they, because their mind was on being filled. Uh, there was, they were in one place. Everybody say one place, and the bible says that there was unity as they were meeting in this one place.

Speaker 1:

I spoke last week. I won't go into great detail today, but it's also important that if we're going to see the move of god, we got to operate with one accord. That's why I needed to hear y'all say it together, in unison, the way that you did. So I could assure that we were one band and one sound. And we are one band and one sound. Our eyes have not seen, nor have ears heard, what God has in store for us. They are there with one accord. It's not about the Baptist accord. It's not about the AME accord. It's not about the CME accord. It's not about the non-denominational accord. It's not about the AME accord. It's not about the CME accord. It's not about the non-denominational accord. It's not about this. It is not about that. The accord is they are looking for an encounter with the Lord. They are there with one accord and suddenly everybody say suddenly there was a sound. Now, I reminded you last week and I don't have time to go back there, but I got to just park and tell you real quickly that there is always what a sound that precedes the move of God. We see it in the text. There was a sound from heaven, like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting.

Speaker 1:

I need every prayer person in this room to go into prayer because it's about to get thick now. I believe, by faith, you're about to see the glory. I believe, by faith, you're going to see something in the spirit realm that if you start to pray for God to fill this house See, check it out. My job as pastor is to pray two prayers. To pray that God fills this tabernacle, yes, but the real prayer is for him to fill this house. Does that make sense? Because if the glory is just in this tabernacle when you leave this room, you'll leave the glory. But if he feels this house, yeah, if he feels my mind, if he feels my body, if he feels my soul, if he feels my belly, then the glory will go with me wherever I go. Somebody has ought to start praying now. Feel this house. Are y'all praying with me? You got to fill this house. This house has been through some stuff. This house has been hurt. This house has dealt with some pain. God fill this house.

Speaker 1:

And as they're praying and the Holy Spirit fills the house, then the Lord does something amazing that I believe the Lord wants to do to you right now and that I believe the Lord wants to do to you right now the Lord sends his Holy Spirit to rest on them so they could rest in him. He sent the Spirit to rest on them so that they could rest in him, and I believe that the Lord wants to send his Holy Spirit today to rest on you so that you may rest in him, because Jesus said come unto me all that are what Heavy laden, and I'll do what I'll give you rest for your soul. Yeah, I love when the Holy Ghost make me run, but I sure love when the Holy Ghost gives me rest, because every now and then I get tired, and the text says that in verse 3, then what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled or rested on them. The Holy Spirit brought rest to their souls, which brings an interesting theological question. The question is are you in the right heart space for the holy ghost to rest upon you? I'm gonna ask it again and then I'm gonna help you understand it, because the goal today is simple. For as many people that are the desire because, by the way, nobody was in the upper room rating on this move of god because they were forced to be there. They was in there because they had a desire for more. I want to talk to the people today that have a desire for more, but you feel like it hadn't happened yet. My question is are you in the right heart space for the Holy Ghost to rest upon you? I ask that question because there is a major difference between being delivered from something and being filled with the Holy Ghost. You can be delivered and still be on E.

Speaker 1:

In the Bible there were these 10 lepers that had leprosy and they asked for the Lord to heal them. When Jesus accommodated their requests, 10 of them took off because they had to get back to their family, they had to get back to their businesses, they had to get back to the spot. But one of them, on the run home, had this unction and after a while you keep walking with the Lord, the Lord is going to give you these unctions and it will pause you in your tracks and it's kind of hard to articulate. Do I have anybody that the Holy Ghost ever gave you an unction to do something that you otherwise would not have done? And they got this unction of the Holy Ghost. And there's one of them just one now, and he stops. And they got this unction of the Holy Ghost and there's one of them just one now, and he stops and he goes back and he goes back to worship the Lord. And Jesus' question is where are the other nine?

Speaker 1:

Because his expectation and his desire for them was not just to heal them. His desire was to make them whole. There are too many times where we come into church and we get a little spoonful of healing. We feel good for a week, but we're not made whole. And you're only going to be made whole when there is this immersion of the Holy Ghost. How do we know? Because this one individual, jesus had already told him he was healed, but because he came back under the unction of the Holy Ghost, the next thing Jesus said to him is that not only are you healed, you are made whole. Ah, that means that not only have the symptoms dried up, I'm free from it and it's not coming back. I declare that it's dried up and it's not coming back. I declare that you are over it and you ain't going back to it. He can call you tonight, he can DM you tonight. You see, what happens is when you ain't just healed and they inbox you or they call you, you susceptible to give them another chance. But good God almighty, when I'm whole, I don't go back to what God has delivered me from. You ain't going to get me this time. I'm not going to go back because I have been made whole under the power of the Holy Ghost, but it's a heart issue, because only one of those ten had a heart to go back to Jesus and give him a thank you for what he had done. Can I ask you, what's the posture of your heart?

Speaker 1:

In the eighth chapter, the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had watch this Acts 8, verse 14,. They had welcomed God's message. Somebody say it's a heart issue. They welcomed God's message and that means that, for those of you who are in the house this morning that are welcoming the word from the Lord, watch how God moved. Their heart was in the right condition to receive a supernatural move of God. They sent Peter and John to them. You know why? Because their heart was in the right posture. They weren't going to send the apostles anywhere where the people's heart was not in the right posture. How do we know this? Because Jesus told them to go to various places and if you are not received in a town or a village, shake the dust off your feet and keep it moving.

Speaker 1:

Oh, can I take a sidebar and then get right back on track? I heard the Lord say tell about 15 of y'all to stop trying to beg folks to accept you. Stop trying to beg folks to let you in. Stop trying to beg folks for a DEI. I'm here to tell you I'm a Holy Ghost, feel I'm all for equity and inclusion. I'm all for it. But I ain't got to beg you for nothing. You know why I got the Holy Ghost. He'll open a door that no man can shut. I'm trying to help some folk in here, but I said my begging day is over. You ain't got to like me, you ain't got to love me, but I ain't about to beg you for nothing.

Speaker 1:

And Jesus said when I go and I send you to a place and they reject you, shake the dust off your feet. Matter of fact, I need about 10 of y'all right now to shake the dust off they. They rejected you and you were trying to figure out how you were gonna go back. Ain't no, going back. We shaking dust. Somebody said we shaking dust. You know why. You know why we shaking dust? Because there is a crowd with your name on it. Did you know that there's a client that's waiting on you? There's an opportunity that's just for you.

Speaker 1:

And so the apostles don't go where they're rejected. They go to a spot where the message of God has been welcomed and watch this. They get there. They pray with them so that the Samaritans might receive the Holy Spirit. Y'all know who the Samaritans are. They were considered to be half-breeds. They weren't considered to be real Jews. They faced racial discrimination because they weren't fully Jews. They were always treated lesser than. And I want to tell you, don't worry about how people treat you. We go with God, we go with the Lord, and because God's hand was on these Samaritans' life, he sends Peter and John and they pray. Why? Because, listen, although their heart was right, the Holy Spirit had not yet come down on any of them. They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then Peter and John laid hands on them and they received the Holy Spirit.

Speaker 1:

Why do I take us this? Because I've been telling you you need this fire. I've been telling you that you need this Holy Ghost, and I want to help you and understand what you got to do. First thing, you got to welcome the message Somebody said. You got to welcome the message. You got to welcome that Jesus died for you, the fact that he rose for you and the fact that he's soon to return and that he had you on his mind and greater is in the store for you. You got to welcome the message. You got to welcome the fact that you are the head and not the tail. You got to welcome the message. Somebody said you got to welcome the message. All right, if you want to welcome the message, then let's see how you like this one.

Speaker 1:

Then, if you're going to welcome the message, you got to understand this that the enemy desires to keep your heart broken so that you can never fully receive the message. I've had a heartbreaking reality this month, because I'm an optimistic, hell-full type brother, but I've had a heartbreaking reality this month that some people that I serve they will never fully receive the message because of the condition of their heart. See, their heart was so broken by the last situation that they will never receive. Receive he's able, but there are some people that will never receive what God has for them because of the posture of their heart. What do you mean when we talk about getting close to God? It's talking about loving unconditionally with your heart wide open, and if your heart has ever been broken, it's hard to love unconditionally.

Speaker 1:

Can I say the tale of truth? There are some of you all in here that have been successfully married 15 years and your spouse has never experienced the full essence of your love. You know how I know because when your heart got broken in that first one, you faithful and you true, but you guard it. You, you, you, you doing the best you can, but you really let's just be real it's very few of us that love and got that wide open heart like you was when you was in elementary school. Do you like me, circle one, yes or no? You were so wide open back then. And can we be real and be grown? Then? I know we got maybe some youth in here, so I'm gonna be coded.

Speaker 1:

Then that first one I said, like my dad said to me, said, boy, I teach you to wait till you get married for spiritual reasons. I teach you to get wait to get married for common sense reason. I failed all my dad lessons. He said I'm teaching you this because I know you. Boy, he said y'all know what I'm talking about. You get too involved in grown folk relations. He said your nose going to be wide open and your head going to be in the clouds. I didn't believe, daddy, later to discover my nose was wide open and my head was in the clouds. I need some real folk to talk to me. I need some real folk to talk to me. I need some real folk to talk to me.

Speaker 1:

So what that does is then, after that love is in the air, skin of a rinky, dinky, dink. Skin of a rinky. Do I love you until you discover that the same magic that was happening over here, that same magic, was happening with somebody else over there. You know what that does to you. It breaks you, don't it? Ah, then what happens when, if that has happened in your life like 10 times, by the time you get to time number 10, you may love and respect the person that you're with, but you lie to yourself if you think that you can give them all, because you cannot give all until your heart has been healed from what harmed you.

Speaker 1:

I bring it right back to the church. It's the reason that in love and in truth, I'm coming against this language that y'all keep talking about, this church hurt. I'm coming against it not because it's not real, I've experienced it myself but when we talk about church hurt, we're essentially saying God has broken our heart and I no longer deal with his people. And if you think that you can be guarded toward God's people and guarded toward the assembly and be open to the move of God. You're solely mistaken, and there are too many people in here. Until God heals your heart from your last relationship, you ain't gonna never be able to get along with nobody. And the heartbreak is because the Bible says I just got to preach the Bible. The Bible teaches that everybody's not going to heaven. Right, it's a choice. And the truth of the matter is, in this room there's an opportunity for every last one of your heart to be healed and you finally learn to get along with people. You, you, you have elected to stay where you are and it's sad because you're missing out on what God got for you. It break my heart because there's power here to change you, but you just stay in this wounded place. But I'm here to tell you that we are coming against those wounded places today, aren't we? We, we, we, we. We come in against it because we know that God wants us to encounter him in a supernatural way. We're coming against it because God wants to heal you so that you can be whole in the spirit. We were coming against it because, until your heart is healed, you'll never. Let the spirit of God rest on you. Let the Spirit of God rest on you.

Speaker 1:

Those in the upper room had gotten to the point where they had been healed from everything they went through when they were being accused and chastised by the adversary. Peter had to be healed from the fact that he had denied God. Y'all remember that Peter was once a disciple. That was ride or die. But when it came time to arrest Jesus and they looked at arresting him, he denied knowing Jesus and until he was healed, he was not in a posture for the Holy Spirit to sit on him. I know this because one of the things that Jesus did in the first 40 days was find Peter, who went back to fishing. See, he was a fisherman. When Jesus found him and said I'm about to make you a fisherman or man. And then, when he lost his way because he rejected Jesus, he went back to what he knew Real talk. That's why some of y'all go back to what you know, because that's all you know. That's all I know. I mean what else I'm going to do? That's all I know. I'm going to go back to what I know.

Speaker 1:

When I was in law enforcement, I encountered a good brother. But nine months after getting out he was in jail 19 years. He was out nine months and before he went back for homicide, he told me flat out this is all I know. He said this is the only game I was taught. So, in the middle of my struggle, I'm going to go back to all I know.

Speaker 1:

But I'm here to tell you that when you go back to all you know, your God is going to meet you right where you are, because he said I got something greater for you. He meets Peter right where he is and says Peter, if you love me, feed my sheep. If you love me, feed my lamb. If you love me, feed my lamb. He doesn't. He never talks to Peter about the mistake. He talks to Peter about the assignment that is ahead. Can I talk to you right now and tell you that your God is not interested in talking to you about your mistake. He's interested in talking to you about the assignment that's ahead. He said you ain't got to go back.

Speaker 1:

Matter of fact, I'm going to tell you, like I told 8 o'clock this morning, don't stop rehearsing stuff from yesterday, stop repeating stuff from yesterday, because God is saying that, through the power of the Holy Ghost, I'm loosing you for yesterday. I've forgiven you for yesterday. Who the son sets free is free. Indeed. Now it's time to operate and focus on assignment. I want everybody in this room to stop focusing on whatever happened. It don't really much matter. It's time to get focused on assignment. That's why the Holy Spirit has come, so that you can focus on the assignment that's ahead for your life. And so, as he's focusing on the assignment, there's something amazing that happens here, as the Spirit of God has come down and rested on them, because they're in the right heart posture for the Spirit to rest on them. They were forgiven of their sins and they were open. Can I pull the room? We're almost done. Are y' still open for for God to do something in like the next couple of minutes? Are you still open? Ok, stay open now, because we are we driving toward the end here, and and what happens is in verse four, everyone present that means that the Holy Spirit is available to all was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability. Everybody say everyone, everyone, check this out.

Speaker 1:

The Bible says at that time there were devout Jews from every nation living in Jerusalem. When they heard the loud noise, everyone came running and they were bewildered to hear their own languages being spoken by believers. They were amazed. They said how could this be? These people are all from Galilee and yet we hear them speaking in our own native languages. Y'all say languages, languages. Keep that in mind.

Speaker 1:

Here we are Parthians, medes, elamites, people from Mesopotamia, judea, cappadocia, pontus, the province of Asia, phrygia, phamphylia, egypt and the areas of Libya around Cyrene. Since it's black history, ma, and since some of y'all have been hoodwinked and bamboozled to think that our faith started post-slavery, I need to let you know that Africa was present at Pentecost. Did you just hear what I said? Don't let nobody trick you who ain't read the Bible. You see it right there. Go, look at your Googling machine. Last time I checked, egypt was in Africa. Last time I checked, libya was in Africa. Last time I checked Cyrene, you know, the individual that helped Jesus carry the cross was from Cyrene, don't you? I'm just trying to help y'all to be free from foolishness so you can understand that your God been had you on his mind At Pentecost. We was there. Okay, back to the main road.

Speaker 1:

Ah, visitors from Rome, both Jews and converts to Judaism, cretans and Arabs and we all hear these people speaking our own languages Say languages again, languages about the wonderful things God has done. They stood there amazed and perplexed. What can this mean that they asked each other. It's amazing that God has decided to create a new culture, and the way that culture is created is through language. Yeah, whenever you want to create a culture, it starts with language. Here is what scientists say Language is a critical part of developing a culture.

Speaker 1:

It's the way that people communicate, build relationships and create a sense of community. So at Pentecost, god is saying I'm about to create a new culture called the ecclesia, the church as we know it today, but I'm going to do it through language. Somebody say language, in other words, if you look at Pentecost, the miracle of Pentecost is the fact that they were hearing the same language at the same time, which created a culture of like-minded individuals who could go on and do the impossible. I want to talk to y'all, to help y'all understand what a culture is. A culture is a custom of beliefs, social forms and practices, and things that we do every day together in order to survive. Everybody say culture. Yeah, if we are speaking the same language we can create a culture. That's why, at Chosen City Church, we focus on our language.

Speaker 1:

For example, you hear people saying welcome to the city. Now, we don't say it just because it's cool to say in the city, in the city, in the city. Some of y'all know we don't do it because of that. We do it because this is a city. For an example, there's an esthetician right there. She might be in the room. You better put your hand up. There might be some business there. The esthetician right there. There's a gym right there. There are two Mecklenburg County classrooms right there. There's a daycare right there. We had a soccer shots out there Saturday. You know why? Because this is the city and it's God's city and everybody is welcome in the city and the city is a safe place. Even if you don't believe what we believe, you are welcome to the city because everybody is welcome to the city, and so it is the language that is setting that up.

Speaker 1:

You know why, when I preach, I'm going to always usually say three things before I preach To God, be the glory, to God, be the glory, to God, be the glory. It's because I'm trying to create a culture that when we see miracle signs and wonders. It was not because of a bow-legged preacher from Bessemer, alabama. It was because the glory of the Lord fell in here. When Brandy sings songs and people are delivered, it's not because of her voice, it's because of the glory. I'm trying to set a culture in here when we praise the way that we praise from the depths of our hearts. I'm trying to set a culture in here because language creates a culture.

Speaker 1:

Somebody said language creates culture. Listen, language. That's why we got to understand the power of everybody in this house speaking the same language. We got to be with one accord. Can I say it for the third time? One band, one sound. We got to be a house that speaks victory. We can't be a house of gossip. We can't be a house of parking lot conversations. We can't be a house of ulterior motives. We got to be a place that speaks the same language. Are y'all walking with me? We should all be speaking the language that we're going to possess the land. We should all speak the language that we shall live and not die. We should all speak the language that we're going to be the head and not the tail. We should all speak the language that our latter shall be greater. We should all speak the language that we are more than conquerors.

Speaker 1:

I wish I had some people in the room that spoke the same language that I spoke, because we can set a culture in this house, a culture of miracles, signs and wonders. On your way to church in the morning, your language ought to be somebody's going to get healed today. On your way to worship every day, your language ought to be somebody's going to get their breakthrough. On your way somebody's coming out. On your way somebody's coming up. Do we have the same language? I wish we could try it now. Let me hear a little bit of your language. I've been talking the whole time. I want to hear your language. I want to hear some prophetic utterances from you. I want to hear the people on this side. I want to hear the people in the back. I'm trying to hear your language because if our language is right, we'll create a culture of miracles, signs and wonders. Oh, if our language is right, we will speak and manifest some things in the spirit through the power of the Holy Ghost. Our language is right. We can speak the dead stuff and it shall rise again.

Speaker 1:

I want the people in the house of God to understand the power of our language, men and women of God. It's the reason why some of our relationships fail because we ain't speaking the same language. The sad reality of why some people are in divorce right now is because the husband and wife weren't speaking the same language. If we don't speak the same language, we have no victory. If we don't speak the same language, we don't have a culture. That's why I have to make sure that I'm always in alignment with what God would have me to say, and the elders and the ministers they have to be in alignment with that. They can't have their own accord. Don't care what church they come from, they can't have their own accord. I don't care what denomination they come from, they can't have their own accord Because one band, one sound and I have come to see people get delivered Men and women of God, they're speaking the same language.

Speaker 1:

But I want to remind you of something, y'all, that there's something that happens when we all start to speak the same language. There becomes a shift in the culture and when we start to speak the same language, the reality is that you will no longer sound like your best friend. You may not even sound like your family member, because all of a sudden your language has changed. You don't speak negativity anymore. Your language has changed. You speak positive. Your language has changed. You don't say stuff like it is what it is anymore, because you understand that through the power of the Holy Ghost, you can change some stuff. And when your language changes, you've got to realize now that everybody's not going to like you. When your language change, everybody's not going to understand you. Look at verse 13.

Speaker 1:

But there were others in the crowd that ridiculed them, saying they are all just drunk. Listen, when you have a real encounter with the Holy Ghost, you're never going to be understood. When you have a real encounter with the Holy Ghost, you're never going to be understood. When you have a real encounter with the Holy Ghost, you're going to operate in a way that's different. And there will always be others in the crowd that look at you and say that you are just drunk.

Speaker 1:

But I want to remind you, first and foremost, stop worrying about the others that are in the crowd. There are too many of y'all that won't do what God has told you to do because you are worried about the others that are in the crowd. There are too many of y'all that won't do what God has told you to do because you are worried about the others that are in the crowd. You do know that if I had listened to the others in the crowd, we wouldn't have this sacred assembly called Chosen City Church. You do know that if I had listened to the others in the crowd, my wife would have abandoned our mission to have babies and now we got triplets. You do know that if I had listened to the others in the crowd, I wouldn't have not had the opportunity to become a successful attorney, even after I failed the bar exam a couple of times and the others in the crowd started saying stuff like maybe God got something else for you, maybe you shouldn't take that test, maybe you should go and do something else.

Speaker 1:

I'm so glad that I don't listen to the others in the crowd. Can I talk to some people in the room and let you know that your future is dependent on your ability to not listen to the others in the crowd. You ought to say I ain't listening to the others anymore. Tell your neighbor don't listen to the others, listen, don't listen to the others. No, where we going, I can't listen to the others. I got to keep my mind stayed on Jesus. I got to keep my mind stayed on what God has decreed and declared in my life. I don't care how bad it looks. I realize what he told me and I'm all right with that.

Speaker 1:

I remember a friend, when I did fail that exam, told me with all sincerity that maybe this just ain't for you. And I said I know you're coming from a good place, because sometimes people are not coming from a bad place. Sometimes they just don't understand that this is part of your process. I'm reminded of the book of Job. When it got so bad for Job after he lost everything, after he lost his children and lost his health and lost his wealth, his wife came up to him and said Job, oh Job, you ought to cuss God and die. And over the course of human history we've given Mrs Job a bad rap. And maybe, just maybe, mrs Job didn't want her husband to suffer anymore and she wanted the suffering to come to an end. And maybe when my friend told me not to take the exam anymore, he just wanted my suffering to come to an end. He knew how much it cost me financially, he knew how much it cost me in my career and he knew how much it cost me in my health. But I'm here to tell you.

Speaker 1:

The only reason I didn't listen to my friend was because I remember what God had declared in my life. I remember when I applied to go to law school, god told me that I was going to be a lawyer. So even when I didn't pass the exam and it didn't look like it was going to happen for me, I elected to ride on what had already been decreed and declared. And I need about 57 of you in this room to decide to ride on what had already been decreed and declared. I don't care what's in your credit reports, I don't care what's in your criminal history, I don't care about the state of the economy. I heard what you had to say and the question of the saints is whose report shall you believe? I don't know about you, but I have elected to ride on what God has declared. Do I have any other people in the room that you can say what you want to say? But I'm going to ride on what God has declared. And listen, men and women of God, I want to tell you something and I'm going home.

Speaker 1:

You got to understand this about the others in the crowd. When God starts doing something supernatural in your life, people will always reject what they don't understand. And, as some of you have been moving in this spirit realm, there are people that are close to you. They're not bad, but they reject what they don't understand. You start talking about being filled with the Holy Ghost. They're not bad people, but they reject what they don't understand. You start talking about how the gift of tongues move throughout the New Testament. People will reject what they don't understand.

Speaker 1:

But there's something else you got to know about the others in the crowd. People will also reject what they have not yet experienced. Yeah, the apostles, the Spirit had rested on them and they had an experience with God that changed their life. But the others in the crowd had not yet had that experience and some of you all are making decisions based on the opinions of people who ain't been to church in 17, 20 years. They don't know the Lord like you know the Lord. They don't know why you survive, like you know why you survive.

Speaker 1:

People will always reject what they have not yet experienced, and I want to talk to some people in the room that have not yet experienced the feeling of the holy ghost to let you know that you're in the right place at the right time. You are here today because god is saying that he's glad that you've been warming by the fire, but it's time for you to get a little bit closer. He said. You are here today because you have been warming by the fire and, as the old folks used to say, you hang around the fire long enough. It's just a matter of time before you get burned. And I don't know about y'all, but my prayer for this Sunday morning was that some people that's been in the back of the sanctuary, some people that's been in the back hiding on their gifts, that they would get close enough to the fire to get burned today. Are y'all praying with me? Some of y'all children? You want them to get close enough to the fire to get burned today, and some of you need to get close enough to the fire to get burned today.

Speaker 1:

I was so glad when we was in worship earlier to see people come to the altar because it was a reminder that God had answered my prayer that people who may not normally come to the altar would come and get closer to this fire, because, men and women of God, if you came into the house of God with a desire to know more about him. If you came into the house of God with a desire to know more about him, if you came into the house of God with a desire to be filled with the Holy Ghost, the thing that's going to be required of you is that you got to get out of your comfort zone. In the first service, we had three individuals that came to the altar under the unction of the Holy Ghost, and I want to talk to some people at this service. As a matter of fact, let me get Pastor Young and Pastor Chris and Pastor Nakima. I want y'all to get in the aisle. I'm looking for a few of you all right now.

Speaker 1:

That here's the deal. God is saying that he wants to fill you with his Holy Spirit. He wants you to have a supernatural encounter with him, but in order for that to happen, family, you're going to have to get out of your comfort zone. You're going to have to get out of your comfort zone. That means that there are several of you in here I'm going to say six, at least six, really nine. I speak nine Nine of you at least in here who've never been to the altar before, or it's been a really long time.

Speaker 1:

And the thought you being an introvert, or walking down these aisles in front of all these people, you say, I don't care what that preacher say, it ain't happening. Good luck, preacher. Don't care what that preacher say, it ain't happening. Good luck, preacher. But I'm here to tell you for real, though, in this thing called life, you will get to the point where you need God, so bad that you don't have no choice but to get out of your comfort zone, and you won't care who looking, you don't care who got to say, because you like, if God don't move now, I ain't gonna make it.

Speaker 1:

So I want to talk to nine of you in this room. I'm gonna start with the first nine and we're gonna walk with you. All I want you to do is to come to this altar and pray that God will fill you with the power of his Holy Spirit. I'm calling for at least nine of you who've never been before. We're going to get to everybody else in a minute, but I'm trying to get some people who've never Come on. Hallelujah, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on. Hallelujah. Yeah, woman of god, why are you? Because of your faith, you open the door for some other people to come out the comfort zone. Because of your faith. Look at this, listen. It's because of your faith. Come on, come on, listen. Now listen, I'm out. I'm going to do something, but I want you to understand what's happening next before I do it, because I want to teach so that people understand what the move of god is. Come on, keep coming. Glory to god. And acts, the second chapter, immediate team, you can pull it up. And acts, the second chapter, in media team, you can pull it up.

Speaker 1:

In Acts, the second chapter. Later on in that verse, and even in Acts, the eighth chapter, it talked about the apostles would lay hands on people and pray and then they would be filled with the Holy Spirit. So when you see us laying hands on you and praying, we're just following the Bible. They're going to find the scripture so you can see it in a minute, so you can understand and articulate what's happening, because everything that you see in the church, you should be able to find it in the Bible, and I need you to understand. That's what the purpose was they would pray.

Speaker 1:

The purpose was they would pray and, as a matter of fact, god said I need everybody in the room to celebrate the fact that these people made a bold move to come down here. I'm about to work as a spirit. We'll work on these amazing women of God, but I need them to see that scripture. I need them to see that scripture. Do we have it yet? One of the elders put it up. I believe it's Acts 2. I need them to see it. I need them to see it and read it for themselves, because I'm believing by faith that people are going to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Amen, they got it up yet. Not Holy Spirit. Amen, they got it up yet Not yet. We're going to get there. If not, I'm going to pull it up on my phone and read it to you. Any one of those references Amen, because this is real. I need you to see it for yourself.

Speaker 1:

Acts the 8th chapter is one of them. Acts the 8th chapter, verse 17. Then Peter and John placed their hands on them and they received the Holy Spirit New Living Translation. Then Peter and John laid their hands upon believers see, remember I was talking about their heart posture and they received the Holy Spirit. That's my prayer today. That I'm not saying you don't have the Holy Spirit, but the objective is you don't have the Holy Spirit, but the objective is to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah, elder J, I want you to come up here real quick. I want you to minister with the mic and I want to minister over these folk right here, after we finish ministering with them. There may be some others in the room, but I needed their boldness to look like what Pentecost looked like. Hallelujah, hallelujah.

Speaker 4:

Sing, fill me up Till I overflow. I want to run over. I want to run. Sing, fill me up Till I overflow. Yes, I want to run over. I want to run over. I want to run over.

Speaker 2:

Sing. Fill me up Until I overflow. Oh yes, I want to run over. I want to run over.

Speaker 4:

Said I want to run over Sing, fill me up. I want to run over. Said I want to run over Sing, fill me up Until I overflow.

Speaker 2:

I want to run over. I want to run over. Sing, fill me up Until I overflowed. I wanna run over. I wanna run over. Fill me up Until I overflowed. I to run over. I want to run over. Feel me a guide, overflow with your power, lord, overflow with your love. Lord Over, fill me from the inside Till I overflow, till I overflow. Fill me up with your holy power. Fill me up with your holy power. I want to run over. I want to run over. I want to run over. Let it run over. God. Let me take you to the streets of the community, let me take you to the high ground above. Let me run over. Let me run over, let me rise over. Let it.

Speaker 3:

Rise over, fill me up. So, father, god, in the name of Jesus, whatever we have in our mind that is hindering us from seeing you, baby Father, we ask that you remove every impurity, every negative thought, every negative ideology that hinders us from seeing you. God, remove it right now. In the name of Jesus, today, we decree and declare your glory shall rest upon our life. We decree and declare the blood of the Lord is covering us. The blood is still working, the blood is still healing, the blood is still saving. The blood is still setting.

Speaker 2:

The blood is still saving.

Speaker 4:

The blood is still setting free.

Speaker 3:

I wish I had somebody in the sanctuary that would declare the blood still works. The blood can cover depression. The blood can cover anxiety. The blood can cover every disease. The blood can cover suicidal thoughts. The blood can cover a broken heart. The blood can cover our trauma. The blood can cover our abuse. We plead the blood. We plead the blood over our families, over our abuse. We plead the blood. We plead the blood over our families, over our children, over our spouses.

Speaker 3:

Dear Heavenly Father, we need you right now, in this moment. We need you in this country. We need you in this church, we need you in our schools. So we have a simple request.

Speaker 3:

We say it all the time, but Spirit of the living God, fall fresh in this moment. Spirit of the living God, fall fresh in this moment. We need your Spirit because we can't go back. We can't go back to old ways, we can't go back to old thoughts. We can't go back to old thoughts. We can't go back to old ideologies. Fill us again, fill us afresh. And there's good news, we know that you're able to do it.

Speaker 3:

I have not seen, it have not heard, it hasn't even entered into the hearts of your people what you have prepared for us and we get excited because your joy is being released, your peace is being released, your grace is resting upon us, your mercy is coming upon us, your glory is filling this room right now. Here comes the glory of the Lord sweeping through the room, sweeping in homes, sweeping in schools, sweeping in this moment. Send your glory. The glory of the Lord is here, the power of the Lord is here and if, if you want it, just shout it, send your power, send your power, send your power, send your fire Until we overflow, until we overflow, until we overflow, until we overflow. Sing fill me up Until I overflow. I want to run.

Speaker 2:

Oh, fill me up, god. Fill me up. Lord Said we want to run over Said we want to run over Said we want to run over Said. Fill me up, God Said. Fill my mind, god. Fill my heart, god. Set me on fire. Set me on fire. Do it again, god. Set my heart on fire. Set my heart on fire. Bring it on my dear God. Make us smile like you, god, set me on fire Right now, right now. Right now, right now. Fill us up, god, with your holy power. Fill us up, god, with your holy power. We want to run over. Let your holy ghost run over. Fill us up, god. Fill us up, god. Fill us up, god. Let it be like the rivers of water.

Speaker 3:

Let it flow. Let it flow, dear Heavenly Father. There is still someone that's doubting your power. There's still someone doubting their fire. Someone is saying God, I've never seen limbs come back and be grown. I've never seen someone be healed of cancer. I've never heard of anybody being healed from diabetes. Heavenly Father, I've never heard of anybody. I've never seen a miracle, I've never seen a sign and I've never seen a wonder. But, heavenly Father, we're believing, in this atmosphere, that we will see the hand of God move in this moment. We believe that we'll see the hand of God move in this day. We declare decree and declare miracles, signs and wonders, miracles, signs and wonders.

Speaker 3:

So the question is not of how you're gonna do it or if to do it. It's who will it be next? Who will you heal next? Who will you set free next? Who will you deliver next? Dear Father, we have a simple request Do it again, do it again, do it again, god. Fill us again. Do it again, god. We need you to do it again. Somebody still doesn't believe. We need them to see your glory. We need your power to manifest. We need your power to manifest. We need your power to fill us up. Fill us up, fill us up.

Speaker 2:

Until I overflow. I want to run over. I want to run over. I want to run over. Fill me up, god, till I overflow. I want to run over, want to run over God To fill us over, god Say. Feel us up, god, oh, until we are over. Wanna run over Said we wanna run over, said we wanna run over Said we wanna run over, said we wanna run over God over. Let your anointing sink in the streets, god. Let your anointing flow to the white house, god, let your anointing flow flow, flow. Let your anointing flow flow, flow. Let your power flow, flow, flow. Let your spirit flow, flow, flow. Oh, lord, the one Say we want to run over, say we want to run over, say we want to run over God, say we want to run over.

Speaker 4:

Say we want to run over, we want to run over. Yeah, said we'd run a run over. Feel us up Till I open the door. Wanna run over, said I to run over. I said I want to run over, I want to run over.

Speaker 2:

You better stop dying down. Oh yeah, yeah, I really want to run over. I said I really want to run over.

Speaker 4:

I said I really want to run over. I said I really want to run over. Said I really want to run over said I really want to run over. Run over with your power, run over with your peace, run over with your joy, run over with your grace. Said I really want to run over. My heart is thirsty for you, said my heart is thirsty for you. Said my heart is thirsty for you. Fill us up, fill us up, fill us up.

Speaker 2:

Till we overflow. I wanna know. I wanna know.

Speaker 1:

God is not done yet. God is not done yet. God is not done yet. When the gospel of Jesus Christ goes forth, we always extend an invitation for people to join the church. So if the Holy Spirit is speaking to you about partnership, raise your hand in the air and a couple of the elders will come meet you right where you are. And there are times where I wrestle in the spirit. Hallelujah for those that are coming. Thank God for your obedience in the spirit. Thank God for your obedience in the spirit. Thank God for your obedience in the spirit. So if the Holy Spirit is talking to you and you need a church home, just give God your best. Yesterday. It's not too late, but my heart today is for the people of God to be filled. That's my biggest heart. That's my biggest heart.

Speaker 2:

That's my biggest heart.

Speaker 1:

We got one last song. Somebody's moving, being obedient to the Spirit. Come on, look at God moving. Look at God moving. Celebrate this family. God bless you, man of God. Come on, god is moving in this place, hallelujah. Come on, god is moving. This is the glory of the Lord. This is the lowest we're doing and it's marvelous in his sight. Come on, somebody, come walk with this amazing young lady right here, whoo. Somebody say welcome to the family, welcome to the family, welcome to the family, welcome to the family.

Speaker 1:

Now there is this chant, and if the Holy Spirit here's the beauty of it If the Holy Spirit rests upon you and you got to get out that seat, you come on, you move, but here's the last invitation that we're going home. Brandi Jamal, did we get it right? Yet here comes the glory of the Lord. Are we ready? Listen? There's this chant. We talk about language and culture and sound. When I feel God's spirit in a special way, there's this song, this little chant, and it simply just says here comes the glory of the Lord Sweeping in the room, simply just says here comes the glory of the Lord sweeping in the room, and I just want to make sure that God's glory sweeps across your house, across your road. Look at God, he's still moving. Come on, let's celebrate what God is doing in this house today. Look at God. Hallelujah. Somebody say welcome to the family. Somebody say welcome to the family, welcome to the family. Hey, now y'all ready. Now y'all sing. Y'all be going to sing this. Just a couple of bars of it.

Speaker 4:

And then we're going to be out of here. Here comes the glory of the Lord. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. Here comes the glory of the Lord, here comes the glory of the Lord. Sing. Here comes the glory of the Lord. Here comes the glory of the Lord. Here comes the glory of the Lord. Here comes the glory of the Lord Sweeping through, sweeping through the room.

Speaker 1:

This is the room family, my mind, my body and my soul.

Speaker 4:

Here comes the glory. Here comes the glory of the Lord Sing. Here comes the glory. Here comes the glory. Here comes the glory of the Lord.

Speaker 1:

He's about to sweep through your circumstance. He's about to sweep through your life. Here comes the glory of the Lord. Here comes the glory of the Lord. Here comes the glory of the Lord.

Speaker 2:

Here comes the glory of the Lord. Here comes the glory of the Lord. Here comes the power of the Lord. Sing here comes the power of the Lord. Sing here comes. Sing here comes. Here comes the power. Sing here comes the power of the Lord. Sing here comes the power of the Lord.

Speaker 1:

Here comes the power of the Lord. Here comes the power of the Lord. Yeah, say that, say that, sing, here comes the power. Here comes the power of the Lord. Sing, here comes the power. Here comes the power of the Lord.

Speaker 3:

Here comes the power. Here comes the power of the Lord. Here comes the power. Here comes the power of the Lord. Sing here comes the glory.

Speaker 2:

Here comes the glory of the Lord. Here comes the glory. Here comes the glory of the Lord. Here comes the glory. Here comes the glory of the Lord. Here comes the glory. Here comes the glory of the Lord. Here comes the glory. Here comes the glory of the Lord. Here comes the glory. Here comes the glory of the Lord, sweeping through, sweeping through the room.

Speaker 1:

Let him sweep through you right now. Say that one more time, sweeping through the room.

Speaker 4:

Sweeping through the room.

Speaker 2:

Let him sweep through your mind. Let him sweep through your mind.

Speaker 4:

Sweeping through the room. Let him sweep until all of the old stuff is gone.

Speaker 3:

He's sweeping through the road Let him sweep until you feel better.

Speaker 1:

Grace is sweeping. Let him sweep until you get your joy back. His joy is sweeping.

Speaker 2:

His mercy is sweeping, his love is sweeping, sweeping through the room, sweeping through the room, sweeping through the room, sweeping through the room, sweeping through the room.

Speaker 1:

Father, in the name of Jesus, we thank you for what you have said. We thank you for what you have done. We thank you for what you have done. We thank you for what you are doing. If your Holy Spirit has swept through yet another person's heart and they need to give you a yes today, I speak strength into their life right now to make a bold faith. Move and come into this aisle and come into this altar.

Speaker 1:

God, I thank you for filling all of us, mind, body and soul. Forgive us of our sins, forgive us of our shortcomings. Thank you, father, for the souls that responded to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Thank you, god, for the souls that were filled afresh. Now, god, as we prepare to leave this place, we expect that things will be better. We expect that the enemy's attack is defeated. We expect that there will be victory after this, we will not let anyone or anything steal our peace. We will not let anyone or anything steal what you have deposited in us on today, god. We'll be careful today to give your name all the glory, all the honor and all the praise.

Speaker 1:

It's in the powerful name of Jesus we pray. Let the people of God say amen, amen amen. Y'all celebrate God right where you are. May God bless you, may God keep you. May heaven smile upon you. God bless and go in peace.
