Chosen City Church Sermons
The Atmosphere Is Shifting | John 4:21-24 | Pastor Walter Bowers Jr.
We are in the midst of an atmospheric shift at our church and many others that have submitted to what God is doing in this season, and this shift has direct impact on you and your family.
• God is shifting the atmosphere quickly because the problems in our nation and world are shifting quickly
• The shift from religion to relationship requires leaving behind both Pharisee and Sadducee spirits
• Pharisees represent religious rigidity and tradition without relationship
• Sadducees represent skepticism about miracles, resurrection, and the Holy Spirit's work
• Jesus demonstrated this shift in his encounter with the Samaritan woman at the well
• True worship happens in both spirit and truth—we need both elements
• Many struggle because they "worship what they don't know"—lacking deep knowledge of God
• Spiritual authority comes through surrender and Holy Spirit empowerment
• This shift will make us more effective at reaching others and addressing challenges
• God is raising up believers who can operate with spiritual discernment, healing, and power
The Lord is saying that the time is coming, and is now, when those who worship will worship in spirit and in truth. Draw near to Him and He will draw near to you.
Welcome To Chosen City Church! We are excited to you have worship with us today and we pray that this sermon blesses you!

Intro and outro created by Joe Anderson Jr. of Truflava Productions
this worship is shifting the atmosphere. The lord gave me this word because we are in the midst of an atmospheric shift. In our church, you may be seated in the presence of the lord. I want to to do the best I can today just to to teach this in such a way that you'll understand what's going on, because this shift has a direct impact on you and your family. The atmosphere is shifting at Chosen City Church and actually many other churches in the land that have submitted themselves to what God is doing in this season. There is a shift in the atmosphere.
Speaker 1:Some of us may be familiar with climate change. Thank you, musicians. Some of us may be familiar with the phrase climate change. Thank you, musicians. Some of us may be familiar with the phrase climate change. It's become a political hot topic button, if you will. But however you feel about it, you can't deny that if you live in North Carolina, you can experience all four seasons at the same time. You can experience them all in the same day some days. You can't deny the intensity of the storms that we are seeing. You can't deny that glaciers are melting, causing the ocean to rise, and scientists suggest it's part of our changing climate.
Speaker 1:Well, what is a climate? Climate is the long range forecast of a region's weather patterns, while weather can change from hour to hour, day to day, minute to minute if it wants to. When we talk about climate, we look at a pattern, or scientists do. For about 30 years, pastor Young in a region. For about 30 years, pastor Young in a region, and so for some of you all that have been in church more than two minutes and you hear me talking about climbing in a region, your Shanana is already starting to stand up, because we understand that God often does his best work in various regions. He came first to the area of Palestine because that was the region of the promised land, and I want to tell you that Chosen City Church is in a region and God is saying that I am shifting the climate because I'm up to something. While there are different climates at different places and, using that analogy, there are different climates at different churches. I'm not here to tell you what the what climate is best for you and your family, but I am here to let you know that there is a shift in the climate at Chosen City Church.
Speaker 1:When I was away, the Lord gave me this word because he says that, pastor Walt, you are what you claim to be, which is I. I coined myself a mission forward leader. As a matter of fact, I'm working on putting together leadership training, talking about what it means to be a mission forward leader. For me, it's all about the, the mission. I'm not as much concerned about people's feelings, but God said that that that worked most of the time. But sometimes you got to help people to understand why you go so hard in the paint and why you unbothered about people's feelings. He says tell them how you understand what will happen if you don't get the people to the land of promise. He said tell them that they may not be able to see what you see, but we are going somewhere. Tell somebody we're going somewhere. Yeah, god is trying to shift the climate here, and whenever there is a shift in the climate, it's an uncomfortable season. Matter of fact, whenever there is a climate shift, there is often turbulence associated with that shift. But I want to encourage somebody that being a pastor is kind of like being a airline pilot.
Speaker 1:Me and my wife had a wonderful opportunity to get away a a week and celebration of her um, birthday, easter, christmas, hanukkah and everything because lord jesus. But when we, we, and it was something that was well overdue, and I finally had a chance and it was beautiful and it's interesting side point. It's kind of like god did something I didn't know he was doing. The first week of consecration, uh, my focus was on, uh, god. The second week of congregation, of consecration, my focus was on family. And my third week of holy consecration, my focus is on you, uh, because god is saying that you have to help them to understand and help them to and manage the shift, because some of the people that you have have served, they're good folk, but they have never been through a shift before.
Speaker 1:Some of you that have been here from day zero. When we first started, we were back in the day, we were ebenezer baptist church, steel creek, and some of you said I'm baptist born and I'm baptist bred and when I die I'll be a baptist dead. See, they finished the sentence because they've trained good, but there's been a shift in this house. The shift happened a couple of years ago and it's not even about a denomination. When people ask me about denomination, I tell them people, we just a Bible based church, first Peter, two and nine, chosen generation, a royal priesthood. You know how confused people are when you tell them we are Bible based church. Aren't we all for to be Bible based churches? Because people have to put you in a box. And if you're not in a box you don't make sense to people. That's why some of y'all don't make folk sense to people, because you just refuse to operate in a box. I just refuse. They say, okay, are you? I've no, are you non-denominate? Are you papal? Stop. We are a bible-based church. Open the bible y'all to try it one time. It it'll tell you who we are First, peter, two and nine.
Speaker 1:But there's a shift in this atmosphere and I was reminded of what that shift feels like for some of you all on my way back from spending time with my wife as we were going through getting on the plane. We got slowed down right there at the doorway and I was close enough to touch the side of that plane. My wife said what is you doing? I said, father, I stretched my hand to the. I don't operate in spirit, but you know, I said I wish I had a little oil with me. I probably would lock my crazy butt up. But anyway, get on the plane, sit down, put my little neck pillow on and I go to sleep. And I'm over there sleeping and suddenly I feel the life being squozed out of my hand and I'm like, oh my God. I started to feel a little lightheaded. It was my wife holding my hand because somewhere along the way there was a little bit of turbulence. And if you know anything about weather and flying, you know that whenever there is an atmospheric shift there's going to be some turbulence. I looked at my wife and said, we good. And I closed my eyes and I went on back to sleep.
Speaker 1:Now here's the reality of that situation. Pastoring is like flying a plane, because I am an under shepherd to our Lord and savior, jesus Christ. My mandate is to get you to the place where God will have you to be. I'm your servant, but God has given me authority to fly the plane. When I got on that, when I before I got on that plane, I said now I know that there's a possibility of turbulence because there was a major storm coming out of the southeast. I know that there's a possibility of error because it's made. It's made by men and anything made by men can fall. But but I got two choices Either I'm going to trust the pilot, or I'm going to get on a boat or a train or something and find my way back home. But the moment I decided to get on the plane, I had to trust the pilot.
Speaker 1:Now, when I felt turbulence, I didn't run up to the cockpit talking about you, dog, let me. Let me get that stick for a minute. No, what I did was I just prayed and went on back to sleep. I'm trying to help somebody. God has taken us to another dimension, as was prophesied to us, where you are about to be filled with spiritual authority. You, because you thought it all came from here, you see, you got to be the one that lay hands. You got to be the light in dark spaces, you got to be the one that set the captives free. And so God is saying that. But in order for you to get there, you got to be able to trust the pilot Because, just like me yesterday, you had a choice you can either trust the pilot or you can get off the plane. And I want to talk to some people in the room and say that, um, um, it's time to, for God is about to take us.
Speaker 1:It was prophesied accurately that we have reached a point of no return, that we're not going back to where God has delivered us from, and it's often hard for people in a season of transition to deal with it. But I need you to understand why God is shifting the atmosphere of this church. Well, the first thing God told me is that I'm shifting the atmosphere at Chosen City Church quickly because the things that you are dealing with in the nation and in the world are shifting quickly. The old folks used to say it like this is getting late in the evening and the sun is going down. You watch the news, like I watch the news. You see all of the things that are happening in government. You see all the things that are happening in our world. It's getting late in the evening and the sun is going down. And whenever there is a need for a rescue, god always works through his mightiest women and men of God. And God is saying that America is in need of a rescue. And for you to be ready for what you have to do, I gotta shift the atmosphere of this church to produce more Holy Ghost, feel, fire, baptized discernment, faith, walking individuals who ain't never scared. And so to create that type of atmosphere he says he has to make a shift quickly. How do I know?
Speaker 1:Because, in the book of John, israel was in trouble. Because, in the book of John, israel was in trouble, israel, god's chosen people, a nation that had been mighty but now had found themselves broken into pieces. They found themselves broken into pieces because, instead of being who God had called them to be, they elected to be like everybody else. Well, and then can I tell you that you get in trouble when you try to be like everybody else. What do you mean? Well, god was their King, god was their ruler. God God said I'm gonna walk with you like I've done since the beginning of time.
Speaker 1:And one day they looked around and saw that the neighboring kingdoms had actual Kings. God said you don't need Kings. I've given you judges. I've given you prophets. I've given you priests. You good, you don't need what they had. They given you judges. I've given you prophets. I've given you priests. You good, you don't need what they have. This ain't what you want.
Speaker 1:Some of the parents in here know what I'm talking about. Y'all ever talk to your child and say I'm trying to tell you that ain't what you want to do. I'm trying to tell you that ain't who you want to date. Now you want to be hard used to say a hard head and make a soft behind. Well, well, well, god tried to tell Israel you don't want that, but every now and then, god will give you what you ask for. Did you not know that? You, you, you, you keep, you, keep on going out there? God will give you what you ask for. And so he gave him a king, and while it was true they had some good kings, unfortunately they had enough bad kings that he put them in a bad position. So ultimately, they lost what had been promised to them, and now they find themselves under Roman authority. They find themselves being ruled by emperor named Caesar Augustus, a distant cousin of Julius Caesar.
Speaker 1:Caesar Augustus, while he was a king, he was an emperor and Rome was thriving under his reign. While he was a good government official, he had a problem. The Bible says that, or Christian history says, and even world history, that he did not worship the true God. He worshiped pagan gods, and if you believe that everything starts at the head and flows down to the body, if you got a leader that doesn't serve the God that you serve, you got a problem. I wish I could talk to some people that can read between the lines. If you got a leader that don't serve the God that you serve, you got a problem. I wish I had some people that could catch what I'm throwing. If you got a leader that don't serve the God that you serve, if you don't, if you got a leader that don't believe in loving the lost, the leaf and the left out, if you you got a leader that don't believe in loving everybody, regardless of their sexual orientation, regardless of their immigration status, you got a problem. So they had a. They had a problem, and then what made it worse was, in the middle of the problem, god stopped talking to them.
Speaker 1:The Bible says that there is this period between Malachi and Matthew called the intertestamental period. It is 400 years where there was no prophetic utterance. It was 400 years where there was no word from the Lord. What do you do when God goes silent in your darkest times? Can I talk to somebody in a room that you feel like God is going silent on you? Can I remind you that God has not forgotten about you, that God is up to something? As a matter of fact, deacon Coleman, he's marinating a miracle for you right now and as they were waiting on God to move, this time, somebody say this time, this time, he didn't.
Speaker 1:Somebody say this time, this time, he didn't leave it up to a king. This time he didn't leave it up to a prophet. This time, he didn't leave it up to a priest this time. Somebody say this time, this time, the Lord came and did it himself. Jamal, I just heard the Lord say this time the Lord is going to do it himself.
Speaker 1:That's a good word for somebody, because you did rely on somebody at the church. You did rely on somebody in your family. You did rely on somebody on your job. You did rely on somebody that you grew up with. But the Lord said this time I'm going to come and I'm going to do it myself. I wish I had somebody that could give God some glory, that every now and then, when it gets bad enough, he'll show up himself. Am I the only one in the room? And it got bad enough that I know you, my friend? I know you prayed for me, but this time I needed Jehovah to show up and do what no other power on earth could do. He shows up divinity wrapped in dust. He shows up through the Holy Spirit's work in Mary's womb, born of a virgin, he shows up through 42 generations and he shows up for with an answer to the people's problems.
Speaker 1:But what you have to realize is that in the midst of this showing up, it was such an atmospheric shift that it scared people. You got to realize their concept and understanding of God was based on laws. It was not based on relationship. This was a paradigm shift because their whole life they had been taught that to get close to God or follow every rule, to get close to God once a year will atone an animal because the blood sacrifice will cover our sins. Just for a year they had no ability to pray on their own. They had no ability to go to the throne room boldly and and God was this distant figure that they knew was real. But the concept of God loving them was far away because they had no relationship.
Speaker 1:That's some of you all in this room. You know God is real. You know somebody created the heaven and the earth, but the concept of God actually loving you, it escapes you. How do I know? Because if you really believe God loves you, you would first start to love yourself and you can't love yourself because you don't believe that God loves you. You see God and say I'm proud that God loves them, I'm proud for what God does for them, but he'll never do anything like that for me. Let me tell you, the devil is a liar. Matter of fact, you need to encourage somebody. Take about 15 seconds, just encourage somebody right now and tell them that God loves you. Tell them, go ahead and encourage them. Tell them on social media God loves you. God loves you.
Speaker 1:And the concept of a God, the maker of the heavens and the earth, loving us was such a paradigm shift that, if people couldn't handle it, the concept of God saying I'm taking over the authority was a concept that people didn't like, because God was now taking power out of human hands and putting it back where it actually belongs. And the thing about a climate change, elder Nakima the thing about a climate change, elder Nakima, the thing about a climate change, is that everyone doesn't like climate change, everyone doesn't believe in climate change and everybody doesn't understand the change. So we have to be careful of two spirits that like to show up in the midst of a climate change. There are two spirits that like to show up in the midst of a climate change. There are two spirits that like to show up in the midst of a climate change, the two spirits that show up at this church often as God has been shifting us in the spiritual realm. The first one is the spirit of the Pharisee and the second one is the spirit of the Sadducee.
Speaker 1:Now, at Easter time, we hear a lot about the Pharisees and Sadducees. Uh, don't we? We hear about about them as the group that came and went after Jesus. But if you really understand them, the Pharisees and Sadducees, their theology was far as the east is from the west. They didn't believe the same things. They didn't like each other. It's the equivalent of two factions who hate one another, but they hate you more. So they decide to team up for a minute to try to take you out.
Speaker 1:Uh, can I tell you a little bit about the pharisees? The pharisees were, uh, members of a jewish party and they they strictly followed the law. As a matter of fact, even when they uh, everything that they did and every question they had for jesus was because they felt that Jesus was not strictly following the law. Do you remember when Jesus healed a person on the Sabbath? It was the Pharisees who were big mad about it. Because they said the law said that you can't heal nobody on the Sabbath. Yeah, because they were. They were religious, but they had no relationship and and even when they fasted, they wanted to make themselves look holy by wearing torn up, tattered clothes. They wouldn't comb their hair, they wouldn't put no Listerine in their mouth. They walk around looking crazy. How do you know this, pastor Walt?
Speaker 1:Because when Jesus started coming and teaching about relationships, one of the first things that he did was address the Pharisees. He said and when you fast, comb your head. I ain't lying, it's in the Bible, ain't it? He said you ain't got to do all that. You're doing too much. Now You're showing out. He said, matter of fact, for all of you religious folk that's trying to put on a show, he said if you really want to have a life-breaking prayer, find you a prayer closet. Go into that room, into your secret place, because this ain't about putting on no show, this ain't about impressing you. Go into your secret place and cry for real, for real. And when you come out your secret place, he said I'm going to reward you openly. I just heard the Lord say he's about to reward somebody that's been crying and praying in your secret place. He's about to reward somebody that's been crying and praying in your secret place. He's about to reward you openly, so that the world will know that God is who he says that he is.
Speaker 1:Pharisees in 2025 look like people that's been in church a long time and think they got this God thing figured out. They come to new churches like this and they feel like they can tell everybody what to do because they did it the way that they did it, wherever they came from. I come against the Pharisee spirit because there's a shift in the atmosphere. I'm trying to help some people to understand that the Pharisee spirit is that you're so stuck in your religiosity, you're so stuck in your traditions the stuff that worked yesterday, the, the frozen success of of what worked in the last season but you don't recognize that God is trying to do a new thing and he wants you to be a part of it. But you got to stop acting like a Pharisee. You ain't holier than everybody else. You ain't better than everybody else. I don't care that you know the Greek, the Hebrew and the Aramaic. You got to break that mentality that your walk with God is better than everybody else. Walk with God.
Speaker 1:There are Pharisees that show up on your job. They think, because they've been there longer than you, they know everything, don't they? They got the HR handbook memorized, don't they? They got the codes backwards and forwards, forwards and backwards. But when the hand of God is on my life, I don't care if I show up tomorrow as my first day, he's still going to elevate me, because my elevation is not from man, it comes from the Lord. So whenever and that's why some of you all have been dealing with so much challenge because the Pharisees are mad, because they thought their religiosity made them better. But when God starts using ordinary people, it bothers them. When God starts using people without a title, it impacts them. So we've got to come against the pharisee spirit.
Speaker 1:But I think that the sadducee is worse than the pharisee. The sadducee they had the money. Somebody said they got the bag. Yeah, see this zip code 2828728273. Y'all got the bag, y'all got the money. I know it, I know it, I know it. Y'all, y'all got it going on. I, I see, I see your, I see your chariots that you're pulling up in right, you're doing. God has blessed you, he's blessed me too. He's blessed you, he's blessed me, won't he do it? And guess what? Um, I'm so glad that even when you are waiting on a blessing to come, you're surrounded by some people that's going to be a part of your elevation. Amen, amen, we in this thing together. If I'm up, you up, amen, we, we all, we all coming up.
Speaker 1:But the Sadducees I'm the most concerned about because, uh, here was their issue. They were. They were wealthy, a wealthy class of Jewish leaders, but check this out, they did not believe in miracles, they didn't believe in resurrection and they did not believe in the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit. The Sadducees only believed in the first five books of the Bible and they were really more all about making connections with the Roman government in comparison to living how God called him to live. I'm concerned because I think, if I'm going to be honest, I've got to come against it. I think I've got some leaders that are some Sadducees. I do. Every church does.
Speaker 1:You want to know the truth about it? They look good, they serve, but they don't believe in Holy Ghost power. You remember Acts 2? When the Holy Ghost came down and people start speaking in tongues? You, you know what it said. It was a crowd of people said look at them, they just drunk. Am I lying? Y'all read the bible, didn't it?
Speaker 1:That's that sadducee spirit. You know, whenever somebody see pastor walk, go prostrate, they say what's wrong with him? It don't take all of that. You don't know my story and you don't know my assignment. I need his holy ghost power, so you don't understand. I, I, uh. Whenever I go prostrate it's a position of complete surrender and usually it's because god has shown me something in the spirit that I can't do on my own, and so the only thing I know how to do is just stretch out, prostrate before the Lord. But the Sadducee spirit said when I came out, when I came here, he didn't do all of that. He just gave us three points and a poem and went home, sung a good Baptist hymn. Now he's doing all this other stuff and even speaking in tongues. On occasion. I come against the Sadducee stuff and even speaking in tongues on occasion I come against the saddest seat. There's a shift in this house. I come against you right now. You got the same option.
Speaker 1:I had when I got on that plane last night. Ain't nobody make you get on this plane? Matter of fact, we'll call an emergency, stop right now and drop you off so you can be released to your destination. But I'm here to tell you right now don't ask questions about what God is doing in this spiritual realm, unless you're saying I want some of it myself because we got to come against the Sadducees, because y'all keep getting in the way with hallway conversations and parking lot conversations and staff meeting conversations that come against the move of God. I rebuke you in the name of Jesus. I don't care if you're my family member. You ain't coming against the move of God.
Speaker 1:There's a shift in this house. You better get off this thing before it's too late for you. I'm here to tell you there's a shift. Somebody says there's a shift in this house. Don't play with the holy. God is doing something. There's a shift in this house because you have to be filled in such a way so that God can use you Like never before. We land safely At our text, where God is going to teach us why this shift Is so necessary. That's one other thing I got to say about the Sadducees that I need you to understand. You are welcome, but the problem is you got to make a shift to stay here. I want you to understand the three things that history said. The Sadducees didn't believe. They didn't believe in miracles.
Speaker 2:They didn't.
Speaker 1:Do you know that there are people that whenever we come down and we pray by faith, no matter how much I teach that I'm not the healer Jesus is the healer but we have to operate in what? In faith. So when I lay hands on somebody and say you are healed, it's not because I'm so powerful powerful, I'm operating under the authority that the Holy Spirit has given me and by faith that person is healed. There was a woman of God I I was gone last week, but I pray to connect with her, we pray for her. Her hearing, because she has a ear condition and I went and looked it up after work, that worship service and there is no cure for the condition. There's no cure, but we believe by faith that she is healed. We believe it, we believe it already done so if you check this out. So if your church is full of sadducees, what you're saying to this woman is she'll, her hearing will never be restored. That's what you're saying. You say your unbelief is saying that your situation is just doomed and that's why we can't have sadducees in our church, because there has to be a shift in atmosphere. They didn't believe in miracles, they didn't believe in resurrection from the dead, which means that if something is dead from a sadducee perspective, they concluded that it was over. They meant that there was no comeback. And I want to talk to somebody and tell you how dangerous that is, that you don't believe in God's resurrecting power. God can resurrect whatever he elects to resurrect whatever he elects to resurrect. I have never personally seen God to pull somebody from the grave. But guess what? If he elected to, he could. Isn't he the god of resurrection? Isn't he the god that raised jesus? Didn't jesus raise lazarus again? I've never seen it. But if he chose to guess what he could. But the real application point is this is that there are many of you that have dead situations in your life and if you have a sadducee spirit, they taste, they say stuff to you like it's too late for you, don't worry about it, you'll never find you. Like it's too late for you, don't worry about it. You'll never find love again. It's too late for you, don't worry about it. You just need to find out and go do something else. That's that Sadducees spirit. Sadducees spirit is a spirit that told me when I failed a bar exam that I need to go find something else to do, because maybe that ain't what God had for me, since I didn't pass it that time. Somebody said the devil is a liar. Do y'all see the problem of having a Sadducee spirit in the church? They impact everything. They just going to tell you that it's over for you, man, it just sucks to be you big dog. It's just what it is. I'm going to go on, man, that's messed up, though I'm going to holler at you. It's a Sadducee spirit. They don't believe in miracles, they don't believe in resurrection, and then they don't believe in the work of the Holy Ghost. And the Holy Ghost work is what we need so that we can start operating with the spiritual gifts we got to. With all the stuff going on, every, every person that I serve, at a minimum, should be able to operate with the gift of discernment.
Speaker 1:You can't trust CNN. You can't trust Fox. You can't trust NSMSNBC. You can't trust CNN. You can't trust Fox. You can't trust MSNBC. Shoot, what you get it from. What you trusted?
Speaker 1:Instagram Y'all, wild Boy y'all that's diabolical. If Instagram is your God, I'm praying for you in Jesus' name. We don't have a source out here anymore. That's pure. We do not have a source out here anymore. That's pure. So I need the Holy Ghost to show me what's real from what's fake, don't I need the Holy Ghost to show me which way is up. So if I'm a person that don't believe in the spirit, then what I'm teaching you is that there is no power that is greater than you that can show you what's real from what's fake, and that's why I have to come against that so strongly and I'm gonna tell you I hear about you. I'm gonna ask you to leave. I'm serious, I ain't playing.
Speaker 1:Lives are on the line. There's been a shift in this house. I ain't playing with it. No more. Staff, elders, ministers. He be warned publicly. The next one is private. We're not playing them games, no more. Just because you, under the guise of I don't understand. I need to figure out what he's doing over there. He didn't't do that. Before I come against it right now. Your last warning it's public. This time. The public is the safe way, because I come from the other side of the tracks too, and I got agents that go to the gym and stuff. We'll get you out of here. Amen, somebody, amen, somebody. We ain't playing with it Because lives are on the line and because of what God is doing?
Speaker 1:Do y'all think of all of these souls that God has sent here this way? Every soul is pure. Don't y'all know that the enemy, his best work, is undercover. So everything that look good ain't good. Jesus had 12 and one of them was his betrayer. So if God sent 24, there's a good chance that two of you the one of you the Pharisee and one of you the Sadducee if you sin 36, I got a Pharisee, a Sadducee and a witch, but we'll deal with that later on. I didn't play, no more, I ain't playing.
Speaker 1:Somebody said there's a shift. Your life is on the line, your family is on the line. There's a shift that had to hit this house. We're not playing anymore, jesus. He shows us what the shift looks like. He shows us what this shift looks like from religion to relationship. I'm trying y'all, but a ship that's hit this house and I thank you for catching it and I thank you for understanding it, because it's not about me, it's about you. He to show us what the ship looks like. He gives us this witness of this woman To show us what the shift looks like. He gives us this witness of this woman.
Speaker 1:Jesus leaves Judea and is returning to Galilee, but he has to go through Samaria. He goes into this village of Sychar and there's this well, one of Jacob's wells there. And Jesus was tired, and it's around noon. He sees this Samaritan woman. Now, samaritan is a person who knows discrimination like no other. You see, samaritans, they were considered to be half breeds, they weren't full Jews, they were mixed with various races or whatever the case may be. So they experienced a lot of discrimination from church people. I'm gonna say that again, the primary source of the discrimination that they were getting was from the religious people. The Jews said that the Samaritans were not even worthy as a matter of fact, in the law. They wouldn't even have dinner with a Samaritan, wouldn't be caught in public with a Samaritans were not even worthy as a matter of fact, in the law they wouldn't even have dinner with a Samaritan, wouldn't he be caught in public with a Samaritan? And so Jesus, on purpose, cuts through Samaria, because there's that reminder to somebody in this room that Jesus will meet you right where you are when he has a plan for your life. He will meet you right where you are. That's somebody today, that you're in Samaria and the Lord sees you. El Roy E. The Lord sees you, he goes there and he allows his disciples to go to the store.
Speaker 1:Always interesting, because I had a beautiful week with my lovely bride this week, but the one thing that I just couldn't suffer was when she wanted to go in them little trinket stores and whatnot. I could I just, I was happy. I didn't say that I was a good husband. I just sat on that bench though. So I'm going to sit up under this tree. Take your time. You do what you got to do, but I can't I start twitching and stuff. If you are right, sir. No, I'm just I can't. I just don't. It ain't my thing.
Speaker 1:So I find it interesting here that Jesus allowed since 12 dudes to the store and it's not that it took 12 individuals to buy food, but he needs to have this uninterrupted, one on one encounter with this woman. He, he sees the woman and he begins to speak to her. He, he, he. He asked the woman, um, to give him something to drink. The woman was shocked by this because of her experience with discrimination. She said jews don't have anything to do with Samaritans, jesus said.
Speaker 1:He said, if you only knew the gift that God has for you. Can I talk to somebody that came to church today. You came maybe because you came to see a baptism. You came maybe because you had a unction or feeling that you should go today. I don't know why you here, but I'm glad that you're here because, prophetically, the Lord is saying that if you only knew the gift that he has for you, yeah, I need to pull. I know I walk with God. There are a few of you in the room Now. Don't be ashamed and don't be afraid when I ask you this question. There are a few of you in the room that yesterday you had no plans to come to church today. Let me see your hands, don't? I'm talking to you. I see you. You. You are here because God is saying if you only knew the gift that he had for you, matter of fact, this thing for you, god said if you only knew why, why, why are you here? You're not here by happenstance, because you couldn't have been everything. You're here because he says I got a gift for you. He says if you only knew the gift you have for you and who was speaking to you? Check this out.
Speaker 1:Sometimes people would miss what jesus was saying because they didn't see the savior of the world. They saw joseph's boy, they saw a dude that was born in a ghetto called nazaree, and sometimes people come into church and they miss what the woman of god or the man of god is saying, because they see me in my flesh, because they have not been taught that when a woman or a man of god stands and delivers the word, allow me to disappear. That's why, on occasion, now you can preach in whatever you want to preach in. I'm preaching a hoodie, a t-shirt, it don't matter. But sometimes that's why we hide behind a robe, because I don't need you to look at my latest suit, I don't need you to be focused on what's on my t-shirt. I I need to not be seen. I I need you to hear the voice of god, so you don't miss what he has to say in this season. Don't, don't, don't, don't, don't look at me, don't, don't look at me. Yeah, don't, don't pay attention to me. No, don't. You got to hear what God is saying. Don't see me. I'm all my elders in the church. I want to remind you when, when we stand before the people I'm, I'm not teaching that you got to wear whatever. Matter of fact. I encourage you to be comfortable in the skin that you in. I encourage you.
Speaker 1:Matter of fact, I'm going to mess with Pastor Chris. Pastor Chris, he got some fine rolls, but Pastor Chris will slip on that little Gucci belt. You know, you know why. But you know what that does. When you read his book and you know his story, just like when you read Elder Colleen's book and know her story, you'll see that the Lord has brought him a mighty long way. Don't look at what I got on today until you know what it was like when he was in his homeless season.
Speaker 1:See, so I'm not. I'm not talking about attire per se, but what I am talking about is, when I stand here, don't see me, because if you see me, you're gonna miss what God is trying to say. Watch this, he says. If you only knew the gift I have for you and who was speaking, you would ask me and I would give you. Here it is living water. Also, whenever the word goes forth, pay attention to every adjective and adverb living water. Somebody say living water, here it is. Look at our response. But, sir, you don't have a rope or a bucket, she said. And this well is very deep. Where would you get this living water? And, besides, do you think you're greater than our ancestor Jacob, who gave us this? Well, how can you offer better water than he and his sons and his animals enjoyed?
Speaker 1:Somebody say she missed it. Yeah, she missed it, she, she. She missed it because she was trying to gain deeper understanding. I enjoy her questions because there are some of you in the house that are missing the move of God and it's okay to ask questions with an effort to get deeper understanding, but you got to be careful that your questions are not causing confusion. She says I want to know more. I'm missing this Matter of fact.
Speaker 1:Some of you all come to church on Sunday and you catch a portion of what was thrown out, but you got to come back on to Bible study so you can go deeper and get some real understanding, so that you can get your breakthrough. And some of you have yet to experience breakthrough because you have a partial understanding for a whole problem. Did you hear what I said? You have a whole problem. It got your mind, it got your body, it got your soul, it got your finances and you left church with a partial understanding, meaning you put a crack in that thing, but it still has not broken because you don't have a proper understanding.
Speaker 1:The Lord is saying that y'all got to get a proper understanding so that you can see that there's a shift in the atmosphere. And so Jesus begins to speak to her a little bit more. He helps her to get a better understanding. She says please. She says he says listen, anyone, somebody say anyone who drinks this water will soon become thirsty again. And now some of you all that leave church thirsty. You know why? Because the only thing that you prayed for at the altar was for the lord to pay your rent and your mortgage. The only thing you prayed for at the altar was for your car not to get repossessed.
Speaker 1:Now, if you know my story, you know I ain't looking down on that. I've been there, done that, all those things. I'd have. Hid the car. You know my wife don't even know something, put that thing in the back and put the other thing in front of it, and then a tow man can't pick it up. Somebody know what I'm talking about. So I'm not, I'm not, I'm not. Don't let the smooth taste fool you now. And so the lawyer of the day had my mercury tow pass back in the day. Amen. Somebody and I had to have. Boy, I had to have a mercury tow pass. I was struggling.
Speaker 2:Listen God, look where you done brought me from.
Speaker 1:But if that's going to be a shift, our prayers can't always be about things in the natural. Because he says if we seek ye first, the kingdom and his righteousness, then what happened? Oh, somebody said all all of these things shall be added unto us. So he says, listen, you're chasing the wrong thing. So I want to tell somebody you're chasing the wrong thing. So he tells her listen, anyone who drinks this water will soon become thirsty. But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life. He's describing the work of the Holy Spirit, because it is the work of the Holy Spirit that replenishes us, that refreshes us, that springs within us. It is the seal of our salvation, as declared in ephesians, the first chapter. So we know that. He says there is this holy spirit feeling that you need, and part of the shift here at chosen city church is that I want the super majority of you all to experience what it means to be fully filled and saturated with the Holy Ghost. Not just enough Holy Ghost to be saved, but enough Holy Ghost to be mature, enough Holy Ghost to love, enough Holy Ghost to discern, enough Holy Ghost to heal. Enough Holy Ghost to help another. Enough Holy Ghost to break some stuff. Enough Holy Ghost to cast down some stuff. Enough Holy Ghost to loose some stuff. Somebody say a ship has hit this house. Every time a visitor comes in here, even if they don't get to the pastor, they ought to be sitting next to somebody that got enough Holy Ghost to be able to pray them through some stuff. As a matter of fact, if you're a visitor and you don't feel no Holy Ghost by the person you sit next to, you can come on up here and stand with me, because I need every person in the room to understand that we are a church that has shifted to understanding what it means to be Holy Ghost filled and fire baptized. Somebody said we need this power and now, because she understands what's happening, her language changes. Somebody say her language changes Verse 15, she says give me this water. That's all God needs. He does not need you to fully understand what he's trying to give to you because, to be truth of the matter, I still don't fully understand everything that God is trying to give me. I do not fully understand the work of the Holy Ghost. I do not fully understand the spiritual gift of speaking in tongues. I do not understand how God heals sometimes and then how sometimes he lets people transition. I don't fully understand it. But if, but, but, with a heart that wants it, god is saying that I'm going to give you more. Did I hear you? Would you hear what I said? For for those that have a heart for more, he, he's going to to give you more. Draw near unto god and he'll draw near unto you, uh, uh, if you seeking me, you shall find not and the door shall be open unto you. The woman, uh, she says give me this water, then I'll never be thirsty again and I won't have to come back here to get the water.
Speaker 1:Somebody said she missed it again. Oh, man, she getting close. That's some of y'all. You came to church for two months in a row, you close. But, dag nabbit, you missed it again. Uh, that you, you're close. That's why you can't, you can't.
Speaker 1:You got to be consistent, and so you know what jesus does when a person is close and he's trying to shift their atmosphere and shift their understanding. His, his, his teaching goes to raw and real straight. No, chaser. Now y'all wonder where I got it from. I got it from jesus. Yeah, after a while we give you theological concepts. He said living water.
Speaker 1:She started talking about whether or not she was samaritan or a jew. He said you'll never thirst again. She said give me some of that, so I ain't got to come back here with this bucket, no more. She missed it. So then you know what he had to do. He had to get to him straight, talk, raw and real. He said all right, we're going to cut across the field. My disciples are going to be back here in 20 minutes because you know they on the bread. All right, now let's cut across the field. He said where your husband at Uh-oh, let's just cut across the field. Where your husband at Ah, ah, that's when it gets a little sticky, and that's what some of you all, that's what some of you all, when it gets real, you have the enemy now wants to pull you away from church. He wants to pull you away from the man or woman of God. Because now you all up in my business. Don't you know that God has given you a pastor after his own heart to be all up in your business? We don't. We have a generation that don't understand the role of the pastor. The role of the pastor is not to be your friend. The role of the pastor is not to say what you want them to say. The role of the pastor is to hear from heaven and say what thus saith the Lord. Whether you like it or not, that's my assignment.
Speaker 1:The Bible tells us us that woe unto the pastor, the watchman. Do I have any preachers in the room? What did he tell us? He said that. He said that. He said that if the people are in danger and and and and and there's no watchman, and and the people perish, then, uh, then that that's just kind of what happens when there is no watchman. But if the people are in danger and there is a watchman, and the watchman sees the danger coming and the watchman does not sound the alarm, the Bible says woe unto that watchman, because everyone that died, your life is only in their hands.
Speaker 1:And I'm over. Feel good, church, my assignment to you is too much. My assignment to you. It means too much to me. But I got to tell you the truth from a place of love. And Jesus, he says let me cut across the field when your husband at. And she said I don't have a husband. And Jesus said yeah, you about right, because you didn't have five of them. And that dude you met at the club last night, the one you're living with right now, the one that ain't paying no rent yeah, he ain't your husband either. I'm in the Bible, y'all. I'm in John 4. Man, a little bit of 2025 edition, but you get what I'm saying. I'm in the Bible. I'm in the Bible and the way that he says it, she now understand that there's a shift that is happening in our very presence.
Speaker 1:It's the reason that some of you all have shared with me on multiple occasions that you came to church and what you heard from me because it ain't me, it ain't even in my notes what you have heard from me comes from God, because God loves you. And you said man, was he in my dms? Was he eavesdropping? No, it was just the holy ghost, because he has love for you. And now she understands that something different is going on, because now she says you must be a prophet. She said all right then.
Speaker 1:And now her language is shifted. See, when you have an encounter with God, you start worrying about stuff and you want more of God. That's when church has been good, when you stop worrying about stuff and you want more of God. That's when church has been good. When you stop worrying about stuff and you put the bucket down. And I ain't worried about the water now, because now I'm trying to figure out what God is up to. I want to talk to somebody right now and say put them bills down, put them concerns about that money down, put them concerns about your children down, put that all in the Lord's hand because you are in the midst of an encounter right now. Put that all in the Lord's hand because you are in the midst of an encounter right now. I feel the Holy Ghost in here. You are in the midst of an encounter right now.
Speaker 1:If you could just tap in, I need about 15 of y'all to tap in. I need y'all to tap in now. We're getting close to the end. I need you to tap in. There's a shift that just hit this house. There's a shift. Tap in now, put your burdens down, tap in now, lay your burdens down, tap in now.
Speaker 1:And as she tapped in, she said you must be a prophet. And then she started to ask a question about worship. That's an interesting question. A woman that has all of these failed relationships, a woman that has all of these problems. She's tapped in now because she wants some more.
Speaker 1:I know somebody said I want some more and she said I need some more of this because the little bit that I got the spoonful that you just gave me it has encouraged me. Because you're not looking at me like everybody else who found out I've had five husbands. You're not judging me. Like everybody else who found out, I've been through multiple evictions. You're not looking at me like everybody else the last time when I walked into that church as a single mother, as a single father, as with a different color in my hair, with substance in my veins. You know about it, but you're not looking at me like they looked at me. There's something different about you and I need some more. I need to talk to some people in the room. Give me a little bit of more. I need to talk to some people in the room. Give me a little bit of volume. I need to talk to some people in the room that say God, you know everything about me and you still love me so I want some more.
Speaker 1:So she starts to ask about where to worship. Should I worship on this mountain or should I worship on that mountain? Should I worship where the Jews worship or should I worship where the Samaritans worship? And Jesus makes a shift. Somebody here is to shift. Somebody here is to shift. Jesus replied dear woman. Somebody say dear woman. Woman.
Speaker 1:It's interesting how he addresses her in comparison to how he had addressed another Samaritan woman who was just, uh, begging for her own breakthrough. He, he addresses her in this endearing a manner to say I don't see your condition. I see the essence of who you really are. Can I talk about 25 of y'all to hear? The Lord says I'm not looking at your condition. Can I talk to about 25 of y'all here? The Lord says I'm not looking at your condition. You are dear to me, man of God. You are dear to me, woman of God. You are dear to me, child of God, you are dear to me. He says dear woman, the time is coming where it don't matter that if you are in this church, it don't matter if you're on I-85. It don't matter if you're at your cubicle, it don't matter if you're at your cubicle, it don't matter if you're at your own place of business. It don't matter if you're in a Zoom call, it don't matter if you're at choir rehearsal, it don't matter if you're at the AAU basketball game, it don't matter if you're at the learning center, it don't matter if you're at the swimming pool, it don't matter if you're driving through a storm. The time is coming, and indeed the time is now, where they that worship me shall worship me in spirit and in truth.
Speaker 1:Now I like to deal with the truth part before I deal with the spirit part. You see, the problem here is right here in the text. Can somebody look at verse 22? Here is the one y'all and I got to slow myself down before I get too happy, because we got to have a climate shift and for the climate shift to happen, we got to minister to your intellect as much as we got to minister to your spirit. And let me show some of y'all the problem of your worship. Let me show some of you your problem of why you have you let yet to experience breakthrough.
Speaker 1:Verse 22, as the, as the woman is desiring more, he says to her you samaritans know very little about the one you worship. Elder Jamal, he didn't catch this this morning, he's a little too young. Pastor Chris, he'll catch it. Pastor Chris, when I read this I had to back up off it and sit my cup down. So I'm talking about 10 o'clock crowd. Anybody in this room know what I'm talking about.
Speaker 1:When I read just that first part now that that first part you samaritans know very little about the one you worship I had to back up off of it and sit my cup down. I need so see, I got a witness right there. You know what I'm talking about now. Don't go too far, man of god this consecration week. For those that don't know, ask your grandchild when you get home. But the reason I had to pause at that comma it showed me the issue that some of the people I have that I serve are having with the climate change. You people at chosen city church know very little about the one you worship. Oh man, how dare he? I done had a collar since that boy, before that boy was born. How dare he? The truth of the matter is, I can't worship completely and fully if I don't have a deep understanding of who it is that I worship. And the problem is we have raised a generation of people that don't have a deep understanding of who God is, rather be at the on a baseball, soccer field, basketball, football on Sunday morning instead of being in his presence worshiping his holy and righteous name. It's a whole generation and I ain't that old in y'all.
Speaker 1:Y'all remember when I was a little boy. I saw his ship. I remember when I was a little boy and them dudes used to ride around on them, little little tennis speakers, in the back of them, little mustang 5.0s and had them little radios in it. You could take the face off. Hey, I remember them boys. The boys used to ride by the church. I'd be looking at a warm milk car like that, but they'd ride by the church. What they used to do back in the day, they'd turn that thing down. You know what I'm saying. They'd get back all up, but back then they at least turned it down, right. Then I remember getting up.
Speaker 1:I remember there was a time you couldn't get your libation after 2 o'clock. They had a little chain on it. I remember dudes standing there at the gas station waiting until 2 o'clock. But then there was a shift and I remember a time where there was nothing going on on Sunday morning but worship. But all of a sudden. Now the best deals happen on Sunday morning. But worship? But all of a sudden now the best deals happen on Sunday morning, the best brunches on Sunday morning, the best deals for the sporting activities are on Sunday morning, and we are ignorant that we don't even see what the enemy is doing. Suddenly, slowly and surely, church is becoming optional. Slowly and suddenly, and surely you don't realize that the reason you can even pay for your child to go to AAU is because the hand of God blessed you and gave you a job that they wouldn't have gave you back in the day because of the color of your skin and you got the audacity to put.
Speaker 1:God last in your life when they do that at. So God is saying there has to be a shift and if we're going to worship him, we got to have a deeper understanding of the truth of who he is. He is the lover of our soul. When he made us, he made us in his image. When he made us, he made us the head and not the tail. When he made us, he gave us spiritual authority and dominion in the earth.
Speaker 1:You ain't nobody's slave. You ain't nobody's doormat. You ain't nobody's punk. You ain't nobody's victim. You are a child of the Most High God, made in his image. You been through the fire and you came out whole. He loved you enough that, even though he knows everything that you have done, he chose you anyway.
Speaker 1:Somebody say you ought to get to know him. He loved you enough that he says if you confess your sins, he's faithful and just to forgive your sins. Somebody say you ought to get to know him. Yeah, you ought to get to know him for yourself. As a matter of fact, if you're going to worship him in truth, there ought to be some type of truth that you ought to be able to shout about him. You ought to be able to understand what Jehovah Jireh means. It means that he's a God of provision.
Speaker 1:You ought to understand what El Roy E means. It means that he's a God of provision. You ought to understand what El Roy means. It means that when I'm in the wilderness and I'm all by myself, my God sees me. You ought to understand what Elohim means that he is Lord and that every knee shall bow and every tongue must confess that he is Lord. You ought to understand that he is a God of promise and if he has decreed and declared, it shall come to pass.
Speaker 1:You're going to make it to the promised land. Tell your neighbor, I'm going to make it, because God says so. You ought to know him for yourself. There ought to be some truth that comes out of your belly when you talk about who God is. I need everybody in the room to bring out your best truth. That means that there is something that you know about God. It may not be in Hebrew and it may not be in Greek, but it's something that you know about God. You saw him heal cats in your family. You saw him dry away the tears. You saw him bring a child back home. I need some people in the room that know him. I need you to use your tongue. I need you to confess the truth.
Speaker 2:I need you to come out of your mouth, say he's the lover of my soul Say he brought me out of a dope house.
Speaker 1:He brought me out of a divorce. He brought me out of pain. He brought me out of poverty. I know him for myself. Have you tried him? You ought to get to know him. I need you to testify right now. You can get out of the aisle, testify to three people. Tell them one thing that you know about God. I need you to testify to three people because that's how the atmosphere shifts when the truth goes forward.
Speaker 1:the atmosphere shifts. Tell the truth on God and his blessings will come forth. I need some truth tellers in the room. There's something about the name of Jesus.
Speaker 2:It is sweet, I know, oh, how I love the name Jesus. It is sweet, I know. How do you know?
Speaker 2:Because my mama called him when she was sick, when we were young. How do I know? I saw my grandma call him when she got sick too. How do I know I saw my grandma call when she got sick? How do you know? I found myself one time what a pulmonary illness and all I could say was Jesus. I love calling your name, jesus, jesus. Every day your name is the same. I can call him in the morning, I can call him in the middle of the night, and just when I call him He'll make everything all right. I wish I had a hundred people that don't mind calling on the name of Jesus, because that name it'll shift the atmosphere.
Speaker 1:That name will shift the atmosphere. That name will shift your marriage. That name will shift your marriage. That name will ship this church. That name will ship what's been keeping you up at night. There is something about the name of Jesus.
Speaker 1:Jesus oh, jesus, jesus, y'all ought to call him Jesus the other ship that's hitting this house right now. Because they worship him. Let's worship him in spirit and in truth. Here it is. We're going home, we spoke the truth, but there is no worship without the spirit. The reality of some people in this room is that Thank you Jesus, hey, hey, hey. Thank you Jesus. Thank you Jesus. Thank you Jesus.
Speaker 1:That shout is a shout of deliverance. Her shout just freed somebody in her family. That's prophetic. Somebody you was worried about your release just freed them. I heard the Lord say tell them that that shout freed the family, because sometimes I gotta come in here and shout for my brother who may not be here. Sometimes I gotta lay out for my mama who may not be able to get to this altar.
Speaker 1:Somebody say a ship that hit this house. Yo, chris, we ain't going back down, keep us up, man of God, tell a ship that hit this house. God is up for something in here, because now that we know yeah, chris, we ain't going back down, keep us up. Man To God, to our ship that hit this house. Yeah, I said God is up for something in here, because now that we know the truth about it.
Speaker 1:We got to worship in spirit, and the only way that I can worship in spirit is I got to be filled with the Holy Ghost, and some of our worship is weak because we don't allow the spirit to take it over. The Bible says that we don't even know how to pray right without the power of the Holy Ghost, and that suggests I can't even worship right without the power of the Holy Ghost. I need some worshipers in the room that know how to worship in the spirit. I need some worshipers in the room to help your pastor out now, because we are about to shift this atmosphere. And if you show people how to worship in the spirit, If you show people how to surrender unto the Lord, if you show people how to give themselves away, if you show people, it's okay to cry. If you show people, it's okay to shout. If you show people, it's okay to cry. If you show people, it's okay to shout. If you show people, it's okay to cry. If you show people, it's okay to shout.
Speaker 1:If you show people, it's okay to cry If you show people it's okay to shout If you show people every now and then I may run.
Speaker 2:And sometimes I can't run.
Speaker 1:And sometimes I can't shout. But if I couldn't?
Speaker 2:say a word. If I couldn't say a word. If I couldn't say a word, I'll just wave my hand. I wish I had some worship in the room. If I couldn't say a word. If I couldn't say a word, if I couldn't say a, you know, I'll just wave my hand. Let's try it one more time. If I couldn't say a.
Speaker 1:No, you got to say it like the old church. Come here, Pastor Rose. My voice is all gone. We're going to do it like the old church. Pastor Rose, is she from the new church or the old church? And sometimes we got to worship in spirit. We got to go back to where he brought us from. Now, when Pastor Yon help us with this, I need every spirit, feel Holy Ghost believer in the room. Come on out, Pastor Yon, If I couldn't say a word.
Speaker 2:If I couldn't say a word, I'll just wave my hand. If I couldn't say a word, if I couldn't say a word, I'll just wave my hand. I said if I could say a word, if I could say a word, if I could say a word, I'll just wave my hand. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, glory to God, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah.
Speaker 1:Listen, family, as we all stand to our feet. I need you to understand something there's a shift in this atmosphere because the Lord is saying he wants us to draw and win more souls into the kingdom this year than we even did last year.
Speaker 1:We have to be intentional about inviting our sisters and brothers to church, but, bigger than that, you just got to be intentional about telling them about Jesus wherever they are. That's on you. Somebody say, it's on me. He's shifting you so that you can shift wherever it is he has you planted. You are the light. You may be the only light in the place that you work. You may be the only light in the place that you work. You may be the only light in your family. He is positioning you so that you can go back and represent him, and when you represent him and you have his name on your back, he's not going to let you fall. You know why? Because you represent him. You are an ambassador to christ, and Christ said I'm not going to let my name be embarrassed, so I am going to favor you. He says I need you to make a shift, though, and I need you to open yourself up to a form of worship that you may have never been comfortable with. You got to open your heart and you open your mind. He's saying that there has to be a shift in the atmosphere, because he need more apostles in the marketplace. Some of you will be blessings in the businesses that you own. I know that we have several business owners in here and god is giving you the business that you own so that you can not only employ other people, so that you can build an economy. That's going to be a blessing to the kingdom. And he said so I need to shift you so that you can hear my voice, even when you're making business decisions. I need to shift you so you can hear my voice, so you stop hiring the wrong people. He said I need to shift you so you can hear my voice, so that you can make business moves that are about to bless you in ways that other people are not getting blessed. So there has to be a shift in the house. Some of you, you are on a job and the Lord is saying I'm going to elevate you and when I do it, you're going to have to operate differently over there than you did over here. So I need to shift you so you don't mess up the door that I'm about to open for you, because if you go over there with the same old stuff, they're going to be sending you back to where you came from. So he said there has to be a shift in you.
Speaker 1:If a psalm is relational, whatever relationship it is, a psalm is a relationship with your children. God is saying I'm not going to restore that until you shift. I don't want, you don't want to hear that, but I'm not going to restore that until you shift. You don't want to hear that, but I'm not going to restore it until you shift. I'm not going to restore it until your attitude gets better. I know you didn't want to hear it, but I'd love you to tell you the truth. Until you shift, you worried about them shifting. You've been praying for them to come back. Until you shift, god said I'm not going to restore it until you shift. You've been praying for them to come back. Until you shift, god said I'm not going to start until you shift. Some of you all have the keys to your own breakout. You, god, has given you the keys, the keys that shift, and if you shift, the door is going to come open and he's about to bless you in ways that he's never blessed you before.
Speaker 1:Men and women of God, I want to extend an invitation to you, right where we are, because that's what people in the room part of your shift is going to require you to get connected to a church, even though you really didn't have a desire or even a thought about joining a church. But can I help you to understand that you need a church home? You need a church home because, first, the bible tells us that we are to forsake not the assembly of the believers to come in together. God says I need y'all to come together. But it's deeper than that. He says that we are many members. He gives the analogy of the body. We are many members of one body and he said that the foot has a function and the arm has a function. Hallelujah, somebody's moving. Glory to God. Thank you Jesus. Thank you Jesus. You may be the missing foot, you may be the missing eye, you may be the missing ear, but the body won't function fully until you show up and guess what. You need a covering, you need a spiritual covering. You need a place that can hold you accountable to being who God has called you to be. No, nobody's going to judge you, but the objective is the same come as you are, but you won't leave like you came in Jesusesus name. So I want to extend this invitation to some people, somebody, just now. This is one thing I love to do. That's fun, it's fun for me and it's and it's equipping you all.
Speaker 1:Check on everybody that's on your row. Ask them are they saved and do they have a church home? Ask them are they saved and do they have a church home? Get all up in their business. Ask them are they saved and do they have a church home? Ask them are they saved? Do they have a church home? Get all up in their business. Ask them are they saving? Do they have a church home? And if they can't answer, say can I walk with you? Come on, can I walk with you? Let me walk with you. So let me walk with you.
Speaker 1:Say try god, try god. Today said try god. So you got nothing to lose yet everything in the game. Try god. If it doesn't work out for you, we certainly pray and release you to your destiny. But say can I walk with you? They weren't sure. So can I walk with you and I walk with you. I walk with you, so you ain't gotta walk by yourself. Ask him today about it.
Speaker 1:If believers won't ask people in the church are they say there is no chance. You won't go to your job and ask somebody are they saved? You ain't going to even ask a family member to cook out. If they're saved, this is the safest place to do it. Hallelujah, we're looking. Somebody else today needs a church home. Somebody else today needs to be connected.
Speaker 1:There's a shift in this atmosphere. God is taking us higher. Here it is. This is how I want to leave it and get ready for this shift. I want to turn the whole sanctuary into a ginormous altar. I want to shift to a worshipful song. We're going to go home on this. Sister, kenya, brandy, whatever y'all want to sing, just something worshipful to help the people. Glory to God, glory to God, hallelujah. The spirit of God is moving and we have two partners that join online as well. So we celebrate god for that.
Speaker 1:And I know god is not done. I'm meddling today. It's somebody's first time today, but god didn't bring you here by happenstance. You need. It's too many things happening in the world quickly and suddenly, and so god said I need, I have need of thee. God is saying I have need of thee. He says I'm going to deal with. Forget about yesterday, I'm gonna handle that, but I brought you here because I have need of you. There's something more than I need of you. He just needs you to give me yes. So that's what I want to do.
Speaker 1:As they minister softly, as they minister softly, as they minister softly, I want you as an individual to to tell God, and only tell him this. If you mean it. If you mean it, say Lord, I'm ready to embrace the shift that you have for my life, lord. I'm ready to embrace the shift that you have for my life. If you mean that, just say Lord. I'm ready to embrace the shift that you have for my life. If you mean that, just say Lord, I'm ready to embrace the shift that you have for my life. There has to be a shift at this church. God has shifted the atmosphere.
Speaker 1:As a matter of fact, I want to touch and agree with some of you. Brother Damon, you're certainly one of them. I just pray that the Lord endow you with more spiritual gifts than you already have. I thank you for the calling that's on your life, the work that you do as a minister, the work you do as a deacon in ministry. But I just pray that the lord will give you more spiritual authority because we need it. You need it, some of the men that you see at your shop on a daily basis are men that are not stepping foot in anybody's church. So I just pray in jesus name that he will anoint you and give you a double portion so that you can win more souls. Hallelujah, I want to pray and, truth of the matter, that's my prayer for everybody in this room. It's bigger than the pastor. It's bigger than the ministers and the deacons.
Speaker 1:You have to get to the point where you surrender, that you can feel God doing something different in your life. I remember feeling God's movement in my hand. That gave me the boldest to pray for healing in people's body, like never before. I prayed to the point that I just felt the hand of God. I felt the hand of God. I felt the hand of God. I felt the hand of God and we about to go home. But I just want you to pray until you feel God's presence in your life as an indicator that he is touching you, as an indicator that he's standing with you. I want you to pray until you feel the power of God for yourself. You need this power. We about to go home, but this is your time. This is your time. This is the time for the saints to be equipped. That's my primary mandate today to equip the saints. And we about to go home, we about to. We about to go home, but I want y'all to open your mouths and pray that God will give you more spiritual giftedness and spiritual authority.
Speaker 1:What is the spiritual gift that you desire from the Lord? I know the natural stuff, but what is the spiritual gift that you desire from God? What do you want from God? In the spirit realm, you say God, if I could just walk into hospital rooms and pray and people be healed, that would be the gift of healing. If you say God, if I could just have wisdom, and then I could share that wisdom with other. What other thing, god? If I could just love the unloved? What are some spiritual things? God, if I could teach, if I could preach, if I could prophesy, if I could prophesy, if I could evangelize, if I could do the work of the apostle, if I could do the work of the pastor. I feel like give me a shift on that.
Speaker 1:Right there, men and women of God, I feel something. I feel something right here. I feel something right here and I want y'all to be in tune to what I feel. Lord, show them what I feel. I really feel a sweeping in this room of some of you all about to be in power like never before. I do, I'm not playing. I do feel that right now. I feel that right now I feel a sweep in the room we got to go home, but I feel some people that I serve about to you, about to have spiritual authority and giftedness. I'm serious, I feel it. I see, if you, I feel that in the spirit, you need it for the assignment that you have Bernard. You need it for the assignment that you have bernard. You need it for the assignment both of my bernards. You need it for the assignment x. You need it for the assignment. You cannot do what you're trying to do without this feeling. You can't do it without this authority. Yeah, I feel it. I really feel it.
Speaker 1:I feel like god is saying equip my people, lord, help me to equip your people right now. Help me to equip your people right now. Equip, help me to equip your people right now. Equip my brother. Equip my brother, mark, right now. In Jesus' name, thank you for his heart. Thank you for his servant's heart. God bless his finances, bless his career, bless his body, bless every prayer request that he has in the mighty name of Jesus. God, you're about to do something for him. You didn't send me back here for no reason. Thank you, god, it is so. Hallelujah, hallelujah. Thank you for this amazing woman of God. Thank you for Candace and her ministry and her testimony. God, give her what she needs. It's about to be great. Do it right now, god. She's been a servant standing on the wall. Humbly Award her faithfulness. She needs a dose for what she's about to do and what she has to deal with. She needs another touch. She needs more power, and we declare it to be so in Jesus name.
Speaker 1:Y'all, I feel something in here. Listen, I'm not the only intercessor in the room. I know some other intercessors in the room feel something. I know the other prayer warriors in the room feel something. I know y'all feel this. I feel something in the room. We about to go home, but today is a day of empowerment. There's no reason for God to shift the atmosphere unless he's about to give us new power. I saw new power hit the dance ministry. God, I continue to pray that you grace them. Let them go back and watch this video and see how your Holy Spirit had them in sync. Let their ministry win souls and win lives and draw people closer to you.
Speaker 1:Lord, you need it, you need it, you need it. Somebody say I need this power. Somebody say I need this power. Yeah, if you ain't playing with God, you need this power. You know what you got to deal with tomorrow. You know what you got to deal with this week. You cannot do it on your own. If you could, you would have done it by now. Somebody say I need this power, I need this breakthrough. Come on now. I need this power. Yeah, yeah, I need this power. I need this power. I need this power. I need this power. I need this power. I need this power. I need this power, I need this power. Oh, jesus, we need this power right now. We need this power. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, under the power of the Holy Ghost. There still may be several others that need a good God of yesterday.
Speaker 1:The power is released when you are obedient to whatever God tells you to do. There was somebody who thought about now the whole church is an altar and I'm not making anybody come up here, but I'm just speaking what I feel. There was somebody that thought about coming and laying at the altar and you didn't. Why didn't you? God said be obedient. If you need the power, you better come, do what he told you to do. You need the power to do whatever he told you to do.
Speaker 1:Somebody may be laying at the altar, somebody may be joined in church. Whatever you need, you heard the voice of the Lord. You heard right. It's your obedience that's about to release the power. You know what you got to deal with this week, don't you? You can't do it by yourself. You know exactly what you got to deal with and you're trying to figure it out. And God said I got the power, but it's in your obedience.
Speaker 1:Some is at Psalm is giving God a yes. You better come on, give God a yes, I'm coming for you today. I'm coming for you today. I don't want you to leave out here to say I don't want you to leave out saying I was going to join if he had said the magic word, the magic word is obedience. That's the magic word. Obey, obey, obey. The Lord's been speaking to you. The Lord's been speaking to you. The Lord's been speaking to you. Obey. Pastor, christian sister, elder linda, y'all walk this aisle because somebody's about to be obedient to christ. Hallelujah, pastor, young, rock that aisle like that. Somebody else is about to be obedient to christ. Somebody else is about to be obedient to christ. This is an empowering day.
Speaker 1:The atmosphere is shifting. The atmosphere is shifting because we need some power. We need some power. Come here, come here. We need this power. We need some power. Come here, come here. We need this power. Come here, dinkin' Coleman, come here. Come here, dinkin' Coleman, come here, dinkin' Coleman, come here, come here, right here. Come here, me and you, as old combat veterans, we going to our knees, we going down I help you down we going to our knees and we going prostrate before God. Because we need this power. You know why? Because, as men, if we do it, it'll help some other men to surrender. We're going straight to God. We're going straight to God. We need this power. Nigga Coleman can't do what he got to do without this power. I can't do what I can do without this power. We need this power. We need this power. We need this power Now. Power, we need this power. We need this power Now. For those that say I need this power, I need to shift, there's a shift in this atmosphere.
Speaker 1:I believe, by faith, that some of God is about to endow some of you with spiritual gifts. As you embark on your journey of drawing closer to him, as you embark on your journey of studying him and the word of God, I believe that he's about to give you another portion and a deeper understanding, so that you can be a blessing to mankind. I believe it's happening right now, but it's from a posture of surrender. It's from a posture of surrender. From a posture of surrender, yeah, yeah, yeah. Cry out to God right where you are. Cry out to God. He hears you. He hears you. We're about to go home, but he hears you. He hears you. There's power. When you are prostrate, there's power.
Speaker 1:The world would think this is a position of weakness, but this is a position of power. This is a position of miracles, signs and wonders. This is a position that the Sadducees was afraid of. This is the position of breakthrough. I see healing in this house right now, in Jesus' name. I see it. Yeah, cry out to God right where you are. Cry out to God right where you are. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Right where we are, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it's breaking. It's breaking. It's breaking. It's breaking. It's breaking. It's breaking In our well, in our well, in our well. It's breaking In our well. It's breaking in our well. Thank you, lord. Equip your people right now, god. Empower your people right now.
Speaker 1:God, a special pair for the women of God right now. Touch them, anoint them, heal them, set them free. God, you restored that woman's dignity. I declare that somebody's dignity just got restored. God, you erased her yesterday. I declare that somebody's yesterday will no longer hold them down and you had a plan for her. She became a witness to the towns.
Speaker 1:God, I see elevation for some woman, god, that just encountered you. I pray for the men right now in Jesus name. I pray for the man right now that wants to be loose, but he's just not learned yet how to surrender. Tell that man to just surrender. Tell him to just go down right now, god. And if he is obedient to what is coming forth, if he believes that the voice he's hearing is a voice from heaven and not the voice from pastor Walt, if he believes that he's hearing from god, god is saying bow before me. If he believes that he's hearing from god, god is saying stretch out your hands if he's believing that he's saying cry out to me and I'll shift everything. Cry out to me and I'm gonna bring you back.
Speaker 1:You were wondering was it too late? The answer said it's not too late. God is saying I'm about to take the stress off of your shoulders. God is saying I'm about to give you new strength for the journey ahead. He's saying I'm about to release something into your life right now, but it's for those that'll be obedient to the spirit. God has instructed me to fight for a few more minutes, because there are a few of you all that are close. But you just got to fight through your own head space. You got to fight through your own mental space Y'all we on the edge of a supernatural breakthrough in this sanctuary, but you got to fight through. Fight, man of God. Fight, fight like your life is on the line. Fight like your happiness is on the line. Fight, woman of God, fight, fight with everything that's in you that today is going to be the last day of the nonsense. Fight, fight like your children are on the line. Fight, fight with everything that's in you. That's a shift in this house.
Speaker 1:Breathe on your children, god. Breathe on us now, god, we are fighting. Meet us where we're in perfect. We're fighting. Breathe on us, god. Breathe on us, god. Breathe on us, god. Breathe on us, god. Breathe on us. Breathe on Chris Witherspoon. Breathe on Marcus Williams. Breathe on God. Breathe on our bass player. Breathe on God. Breathe on God. Breathe on Brandon. Breathe on God.
Speaker 1:Breathe on Kenya. Breathe on them, god. Breathe on them, god. Breathe on brandon. Breathe on them, god. Breathe on kenya. Breathe on brandy. Breathe on the choir. Breathe on them, god. Breathe on everybody in here, god. Until there's a feeling that, even if they go to the restaurant today, somebody gonna say something look different about you.
Speaker 1:Breathe on us, god. We didn't come to play. Breathe on us, god. Breathe on us, god. We didn't come to play. Breathe on us, god. Breathe on us, god.
Speaker 1:We've been in a storm too long. We've been in a struggle too long. We are not going to be a struggle church. We're going to be a church that bring other people out of the struggle. But for that to happen, you got to breathe on us, god. You got to breathe on our finances. You got to breathe on our mind. You got to breathe on our finances. You got to breathe on our mind. You got to breathe on alcohol. You got to breathe on our circumstance.
Speaker 1:It's been three years, god, and we're ready for the breakthrough. Just breathe on us, god. Breathe on us, god, right now, in Jesus' name. Breathe on us, god, right now, until mental health is restored. I come against post traumatic stress disorder right now, in Jesus name. I come against mental health diagnosis. Right now, in Jesus name. They won't need the blood pressure medicine after a while. In Jesus name, breathe on us right now, god, until it shifts. Breathe on us right now, god, until there is unity amongst the believers. Breathe on us right now, god, until there is unity amongst the believer. Breathe on us right now, until there is love in this place like never before. Breathe on us, god, right now.
Speaker 1:We didn't come to play. A shift has hit this house. A shift has hit this house. A shift has hit this house. A shift has hit this house. A ship has hit this house and we're never going back. We're never going back, we're never going back, we're never going back. You rescued our life and for this, god, we give you the glory, the honor and the praise. Hallelujah, I feel the Lord in this room, y'all, I feel the Lord in this room. You have rescued my life. Can y'all play a little bit of that? You have rescued my life. Yeah, you have rescued my life there. Yeah, you have rescued my life. There's a ship that's hitting this house today.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you have rescued my life, yeah, yeah, and I'm never going back. You have rescued my life. You have rescued my life and I'll never fall.
Speaker 1:You have rescued my life. You have rescued my life and I'm held in your arms. Let's make a big choir. The words are simple Run it back, elder J, you have rescued my life. Choir members, get y'all the microphone. I want a sound in this house. We'll be going home on this. Everybody, everybody. Oh sing, you have blessed me. Oh, you have blessed me forever and ever. Oh, sing, you have blessed me. Oh, you have blessed me forever and ever. Watch this, listen to this testimony. They say that our students are in prostrate worship upstairs as we are worshiping down here, the children having the same kind of worship upstairs as we are worshiping down here, the children having the same kind of worship upstairs, as we have it down here.
Speaker 2:You have rescued me and never, never, never. What's our response? My reason comes to you Hallelujah, you're my reason. Hallelujah, you're my redeemer. Hallelujah, hallelujah. I respond to you Hallelujah, you're my redeemer. Hallelujah, you're my redeemer, hallelujah. My response is Hallelujah, you're my redeemer. Hallelujah, you're my Redeemer. Hallelujah, you have rescued my life. You have rescued my life. You have rescued my life. You have rescued my life. You have rescued my life. You have rescued my life. Sing my response. Sing my response hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. My response hallelujah hallelujah, I'm responding.
Speaker 1:Hallelujah, you're my redeemer, hallelujah. I'm going to dismiss officially so that anybody that needs to transition can. But I'm going to ask Elder Jay and them to minister just a few minutes longer because there's no rush. So I don't want anybody to feel pressure to stay, because sometimes you just have other things you have to do. So I'm going to do an official dismissal. I'm going to do two things. I'm going to do an official dismissal. I'm gonna do two things I want to do an official dismissal and I want to get somebody else opportunity to respond to the rescue he didn't bring you for no reason. Come get connected. The Lord said come get connected, come get connected, come get connected, come get connected.
Speaker 1:Hallelujah father thank you for these souls that have gathered. I thank you for the souls that gave you a yes. God I'm convinced is the souls that gave you a yes. God, I'm convinced there's at least about five more people in the room, but nevertheless, god, the Holy Spirit, will take care of that. But now, god, as we go into this after-worship experience, where some people will be filled and some people will be delivered and some people will be made whole again, I thank you for even being in the midst of that as those who are prepared to part this place whenever your presence cover them. God, thank you for allowing our children to have a worship experience of their own, because they need this power, they need the Holy Ghost, they need this move. Thank you, master, for what's happening up there. God, we're careful to give your name all the glory, honor and praise. It's in the powerful name of Jesus we pray, amen. You are officially dismissed, but there's a few of us that may need to tarry a little while longer. I encourage you to do that.
Speaker 1:Elder J, go with God. I'm going to stay out here for a few minutes myself. I'm thinking, deacon Jones, I feel pretty good. I'm going to stay out here, terry. Yeah, I see somebody's breakthrough is about to come in this moment, right now. Yeah.
