Chosen City Church Sermons

2025 Overcomer's Night | Bishop Dale Bronner

Pastor Walter Bowers Jr. Season 6

Breaking generational cycles requires planting the right seeds that disrupt patterns of limitation and failure in our lives and families. When we understand that a seed stops a cycle, we gain power over repetitive behaviors that have kept us stuck for generations.

• Growth represents sustained change that cannot be reversed, unlike temporary swelling that eventually subsides
• Our mindset is like a frying pan - if it's too small, we'll reject opportunities that don't fit our limited thinking
• God intentionally calls us to tasks beyond our natural abilities to create dependency on supernatural provision
• Leaders are pathfinders who must discover their own way through spiritual sensitivity rather than following others' maps
• Barriers are real, not imaginary obstacles - every significant opportunity comes with opposition
• Favor opens doors but influence changes nations, requiring courage and wisdom to steward properly
• Joseph's anointing allows us to run over walls of limitation that have confined previous generations
• Broken things still have tremendous value - "broken crayons still color" with the same vibrance and potential

I challenge you to identify one cycle in your life that needs to be broken and plant a seed today that will disrupt that pattern. Your breakthrough isn't just for you - it will become legacy for generations to come.

Speaker 1:

I'm so honored to be with you tonight. I honor the ministry gift of Pastor Bowers. Will you thank God for this man of God, this visionary, wow, visionary, wow. To all of the other ministers of the gospels, the pastors who are here, we bless you, we honor you. Spiritual father bless you. Thank you so much for what you do and who you are. My God, my God, my God, god is faithful. He's a faithful God and we love him and we honor him and we celebrate him as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Speaker 1:

I didn't come tonight to supite you with a bunch of mellifluous, grandiloquent sesquipedalia and elocution. I came to talk plainly tonight. I really did and, uh, I really did, and I didn't come to be long winded. I speak enough in various places around the world. I've done nearly a hundred countries around the world and I'm grateful to the Lord just for the opportunity to be with you tonight, because I feel like I'm on not only holy ground but prophetic destiny kind of ground and, uh, and I'm honored that you're here. It's not going to take a long time. I'm going to be just like a mini skirt short enough to be interesting, but long enough to cover the subject matter. Short enough to be interesting, but long enough to cover the subject matter.

Speaker 1:

My God, there are so many things that are just buzzing around in my spirit tonight. I feel like a mosquito in a nudist colony. You may be seated. You may be seated. Wow, what an awesome, awesome God it is that we serve. I don't exactly know what I'm going to do tonight. Let me just tell you this Heaven is a prepared place for a prepared people, and God's preparing you for something beyond what I would call ordinary, and I know that the offering has not been received yet, but I just want to give you a word before the offering is going to be received. I'm not going to receive it, but I want to say this to you In every family that is represented in this place, every household, the devil is going after people's families and Jesus blood breaks the curse. But we have to correct the course and whatever has been going on in your family generationally, a cycle is a limiting dimension that sends you around the same old stuff, dealing with the same drama and the same trauma all of your life. And as God is posturing you to shift you out of circles and cycles, let me just say this prophetically to you that. You know, while women are in the childbearing years, the normal, healthy woman's body Every month Will have a cycle. And every time in my younger years that my wife cycle stopped, it was because I had sown a seed.

Speaker 1:

Because a seed stops a cycle and when you've been bleeding out for generations, with folks dropping out of school and not finishing and folks winding up in jail and folks dealing with substance abuse and alcohol addiction and drug addiction and pornographic addiction, a seed breaks a cycle. I I don't know who I came to talk to, but I just I feel that a seed stops a cycle. God's going to stop you from bleeding out. He's going to stop that repetitive behavior, that same old insanity that you've been dealing with. It's listen, because you don't have a new year just because another day flips over on a calendar, it's got to be a new you. If it's not a new you and a new year just because another day flips over on a calendar, it's got to be a new you. If it's not a new you and a new mindset, it's the same old drama, just another place, another same faces, a different place. But a seed breaks a cycle. I want you to think about that when it's giving time tonight.

Speaker 1:

A seed stops a cycle. A seed stops a cycle. A seed stops a cycle. Everything that is done in the kingdom of God is done on a seed principle. A seed stops a cycle. It's a seed principle. Heaven is made on a seed principle. It's just a seed that he gives us, just a seed. It starts with a seed. Nothing is done in the kingdom of God until something is said, because a word is a seed. Children are seed. Money is a seed. A seed stops a cycle. A seed stops a cycle. A seed stops a cycle.

Speaker 1:

Let me say to you I'm a fourth generation businessman on my father's side of the cycle. Let me say to you I'm a fourth generation businessman on my father's side of the family. I grew up in the home of a multimillionaire, but I'm a fourth generation preacher on my mother's side of the family and I will never, ever forget my great-grandfather. Most people don't remember their great-grandfathers. I remember my great-grandfather you might want to ask me why Because he gave me money. So I am a numismatist today, a coin collector.

Speaker 1:

Because of my great-grandfather, who was a circuit rider preacher and while he went around in various rural communities and preached the gospel, I've had the privilege of being able to go around the world in various places, and you just never do know, because if you'll grow yourself, you'll break every barrier that had been trying to limit you. You know, in 2007, the iPhone came out, and I just want to show you this just for illustrative purposes. 2007, the iPhone came out, I sent someone to stand in line to get me one, not because I wanted a new piece of technology, because I use a BlackBerry at the time, but I had them to stand in the line to get me an iPhone, not so that I'd have the latest technology, but so that I could crack it open and discover who manufactured the component parts on the inside, so that I would know what stock to invest in, because I owned Apple stock before I owned Apple phone and I own Tesla stock and enough of it to buy a Tesla and I got a Tesla. And it's interesting that and I got a Tesla.

Speaker 1:

And it's interesting that when God begins to break you because he's put you in an atmosphere for a specific purpose, you're not here by accident, coincidence nor chance. I believe that you're here by the divine, providential rule of God and I feel that this isn't I'm not even speaking to everybody that even belongs to the church, but I'm speaking to the atmosphere. You have to realize that everything that God does, god does in an atmosphere and something is shifting and moving. We are in a moving thing. When you first open the Bible, you see the spirit of God moving on the face of the deep. God doesn't just sit still with his hands folded twiddling his thumb. God is a moving entity. So when we first find him in the scriptures there, the spirit of God was moving and darkness was upon the face of the deep. You can be in darkness, you can be in debt, and God can still be moving over the chaos in your life, but God is there. God is there. If God is there, moving, and if you catch a hold of him, you'll never stay in the same position because the moment that you get God, god begins to put you on the go. He'll put you on the go. The last time that we see him, uh, in in the last final chapter of it's. Even so, come Lord Jesus. He's not sitting still, he is a moving thing. God moves on the face of the deep. He moves upon his people. He's a moving cloud, not static. God is dynamic, moving, ongoing, and so there's a dynamism to God, there really is.

Speaker 1:

A number of years ago, a Saudi Arabian prince invited Arnold Palmer to fly all of the way to Saudi Arabia to play a round of golf with him and the prince sent his private jet here to America to pick up Arnold Palmer, flew him all of the way to Saudi Arabia, they played 18 holes of golf and he was giving the prince tips on how to improve his shot for his golf game. And they got to the 18th hole and they were doing small talk and he said I'm so honored that you've come to play golf and to give me some great tips. I've had an incredible time. He says it is my custom to give you a gift. He says what do you want? He said, oh no, the private jet that you sent for me was gift enough for me. And he said no, no, no, I can't accept anything. He says you insult me if you don't accept anything from me. And he said, oh well, I'm a golfer, I collect golf clubs. Give me a golf club. Well, he got on that private jet and flew back to America.

Speaker 1:

A few weeks later, a courier's knock came on his door and he went there and there the courier delivered to him a special delivery envelope. And when he opened the envelope were the deeds to a country club. Because he was a prince, a king's kid. They think on a different level. Arnold Palmer was thinking about a stick in his hand, but a king's kid was thinking about a stick in his hand. But a king's kid was thinking, and he delivered to him the deeds to a country club. See, when your mind starts thinking, you begin to break barriers.

Speaker 1:

This is the very reason why God began to speak in Genesis, chapter 12, and verse 1 through 3. And to speak in Genesis, chapter 12 and verse 1 through 3 that he said get up Abraham, from the place where you are, from your family, from your kin folks, and go, go, go, go into a land that I will show you. You're not going to know everything before you go. You'll learn it along the way. You're going to learn some things. The power is in the going. There's a blessing in it is in the going. There's a blessing in. It is in the going.

Speaker 1:

And listen, delayed obedience is disobedience. So you got to bust a move when God says go. Your healing is in your going, your deliverance, the other generations that are locked in your loins, are in your goings, and so, though I have five children, I've got 16 grandchildren and two more on the way, another will be born any day now, and so I'll have 20 real soon, you know. So it's, it's just, it's just really exploding. But I'm just here to tell you that there's something that God will stretch you when he gives you a word about go, it's, it's going time. Now it's going time and it's also growing time, and you get an incredible blessing by remaining faithful to what God called you to do.

Speaker 1:

I want you to think about this At the end of your life, god's not going to ask how successful you were, but he will say this well done thou, good and faithful servant. And let me just tell you this, faithful servant, and let me just tell you this the favor of God comes on your life by being faithful in unseen places. So while you're serving in child care, while you're serving, you know, in hospitality, if you're serving in the parking lot, when you're serving in audio or visual ministry and you're behind the scenes, when you're serving in a hidden place, the favor of God will come on your life by being faithful in an unseen place. I was called to the senior pastorate of a local church. When one week, the week prior to that, my wife and I were serving in the nursery of a mega church in Atlanta, they never invited me to the platform and I had no issue with that. I'm just there to serve, I'm a servant and I'm telling you, I love to see even the spirit of humility that's on Pastor Bauer's life.

Speaker 1:

It's just god exalts the humble. He, he does, he really exalts the humble and there's a, there's a blessing that that's on his life. Through the humility and when you're faithful in unseen places, the favor of god is mounting up in your life. You don't have to jockey, you don't have to manipulate, you don't have to finagle. Listen, because if you got to get it by the means of the flesh, you're going to have to try to use the flesh to sustain it. But when God begins to bless you, the blessings of God are irrevocable. Nobody has the ability to be able to call it back. When God blesses you, when the blessings of God come, they are greater than any curse and any hex of any devil, any demon, any witch, any warlock. When God begins to speak blessings on your life, the power of God is coming not only to you. It's going to touch everything that's attached to your last name. It'll touch everything that's got your DNA in it. It'll move in your sons and your daughters, your nieces and your nephews. This is bigger than you. God is entrusting you to be able to carry something that is bigger than who you are. He really is, he really is, and I'm grateful, I'm grateful, I'm grateful. Let me tell you this A friend of mine was just out fishing and let me just tell you the difference between religion and spirituality.

Speaker 1:

A religious man is a man sitting up in church thinking about being out fishing. A spiritual man is a man out fishing thinking about God. But my friend was out fishing with his friend and it's interesting that he was he. But you know, fishing is a little of something and a whole lot of nothing, because you've got to drop your hook in the line and and then you've got to be able to pull it out, but you've got to wait until there is a tug on your line. When you're fly fishing and he's fly fishing he's got his hook in the water bait on the end of the hook and he's just waiting.

Speaker 1:

About 45 minutes have gone by and he finally catches one, and when he pulls one out, he pulls a ruler out. And he finally catches one, and when he pulls one out, he pulls a ruler out and he measures the fish and if they have certain size then he puts it in the cooler and if they're another size he'll throw it back. And his friend watched him do that for 45 more minutes catch a fish, hold it up to his ruler and Put the smaller ones in the cooler and throw back some of the larger ones. And it just irked him at one point and he said dude, why are you doing that? And he said my frying pan at home is 12 inches and I don't want to have to cut the head off when I fry the fish. But here's my thinking Get a bigger frying pan. Now listen, the frying pan Is a picture of your mindset. And if your mindset is too small and if you catch something bigger Than mindset, you'll end up throwing it back.

Speaker 1:

And I just wonder how many missed opportunities that we have forfeited and lost because we couldn't wrap our minds around it. Because I'm just telling you, if God gives you something and if you can accomplish it with the money that you already have and the manpower that you already have available to you, then it didn't come from God. Why on earth would God call you to do something that you can do without his help? Why would God write himself out of the epic script in your life of what he's trying to build? Because God's trying to do something in you that is bigger than who you are. It is bigger than the environments from where you are. So God would even bring you out of a small kind of a mentality and just listen, my grandparents lived in in a small town and you get golden things out of small towns. I mean. So I'm not talking about the physical size of things.

Speaker 1:

You can be from a small town but be a large thinker on the inside, a large believer. You know you can have largeness of heart even in a small situation. But there's some reasons that sometimes God will bring you into a larger atmosphere. You know why that sometimes God will bring you into a larger atmosphere. You know why Because it's impossible to think small, impoverished thoughts when you're in a glorious place of magnificence and munificence. And if you ever come into that atmosphere, something begins to change in the way that you think, in the way that you see life, in the way that you see God, and so this is a stretching factory. The beautiful thing about stretching is that once you are stretched, you can never get back into your original size.

Speaker 1:

I'm six, two and over 200 pounds Now. I can't get back in the size that I was when I was 12 years old. I can't. I've grown. That's the difference between swelling and growth. See, you can hit something. Somebody can come in, a new person comes in town and they hit, make a big splash. A hard hit will call swelling, but give it time, it'll go down. Put ice on it and it'll go down. But when you have grown, put ice on it, you're still grown. Give it time, you're still grown. Growth is sustained change. It's where you've changed and is now sustained by the power of God.

Speaker 1:

And I have a sneaky suspicion that God is just up to something. You're not here by accident, that God is just up to something. You're not here by accident. You are here by the divine, providential rule of God on your life. There's just something about it, and I'm telling you, when God is leading you, he will take you into uncomfortable things. If the thing that God is placing in your heart does not make you uncomfortable, then you're not dreaming big enough, you're not believing largely enough. This is a new day. You have circled this mountain now long enough.

Speaker 1:

Now he says turn northward. He says turn north. That's God's way of saying come up hither. God's always telling us to come up hither and listen. When you add. The more value that you add to yourself, the more that God will expand your territory. You're talking about your territory. The first territory that you add to yourself, the more that God will expand your territory. You're talking about your territory. The first territory that you're talking about is the territory between your ears, because when you know more, you can do more. It is amazing.

Speaker 1:

A friend of mine pastors 50,000 people down in Lima, peru. He bought a bullfighting stadium and he invited me to come there to speak. And I walked in and the place was filled to capacity and I'm looking at 50,000 people sitting there in the arena. And one of the reasons that I was invited there to Lima, peru, is because I endeavored to learn the Spanish language. Ahora yo puedo hablar en español para predicar el evangelio glorioso. And so I was invited to come and just speak the word of God.

Speaker 1:

My ministry expanded from being somebody born in Atlanta, georgia, raised in Atlanta, georgia, with a southern twang to be able to say and speak to them and their language, and doors began to fling open. And after it opened in peru, it opened in argentina, and it opened in colombia, and it opened in mexico, and it opened in guatemala, and it opened in venezuela, and it opened in colombia, and, and, and you'd be just surprised. And then, because I, I was, I I was invited to the Ukraine to speak. And here I stand, there, and there were 30,000 white people in the audience, and here a black guy from Atlanta, georgia walks in and begins to speak to them both in Ukrainian and Russian. And I'm just telling you the heavens open. I'm telling you, when you expand, god will expand your territory. I just expanded a little bit of territory right here, just right here, and if you'll ever expand that my, something explosive will happen, for the glory of God. I'm just wondering how desperate are you about seeing God do something bigger in what's coming after you Listen, whatever you have done becomes history, but whatever you set in motion becomes legacy, and that's why, when a spiritual father capacitates and equips and secures a son, sons are like arrows.

Speaker 1:

They are messengers that you send into the future, into places that we may never go, and so my greatest joy is to be able to speak in a son and empower them to go farther than I could go. Listen insecure fathers castrate their sons. Secure fathers circumcise their sons. There's a huge difference. God calls men. Abraham was called to circumcise his son so that, when their flesh is getting in their way and could destroy their ministry, destroy their anointing, destroy their gifting, destroyed their reputation, the spiritual father will come in and circumcise them, pull their flesh back. And this is a great capacity that God gives us to be able to have the flesh pulled back so that a pure seed can issue forth. It's about what comes out of you that is going to outlive you. What God has put in you is bigger than you. It's bigger than you. It's bigger than you.

Speaker 1:

My wife and I, we had a set of twins, because God knew that we could handle double. And I'm telling you our twins when they were born, they were easier than the single births, because we could put them in the bed at night and they could play until they fell off to sleep, and with a single birth they'd cry until somebody comes there and comforts them. But with the twins, every time that somebody saw us with twins, they said double trouble, and we would correct them and say double blessing and double blessing they have been. Listen, we homeschooled them, but when we sent them to college they became double valedictorians the first time in history 4.0. We called them double blessing, double blessing, double blessing. It wasn't by accident. It wasn't by accident. It was by intentionality.

Speaker 1:

You don't just get what you pray for. You get what you prepare for. There's nothing more than preparation that shows God that you have faith that what he said is going to happen will happen. Why would I pray for rain and walk out of the house without my umbrella? It is my willingness to prepare that says God. I believe that you are going to do this. You are going to do this Now. I know that you all might think that I'm saved. I haven't opened the Bible yet, but trust me, I have my God. I've read the Bible so many times and I still read it. It's my lifeline. I've read it today and it is the thing that empowers my life, that gives me strength and trust me.

Speaker 1:

Sometimes people would look at me just because my dad had money, but you know that was his money. My mother's still alive. So she's enjoying that, living in her gated home. My mother's 91 years old and she is my chief intercessors that's still praying for me every single day. She still has all of daddy's money. My daddy had 21 different homes and he left from a small town in Georgia, went to Atlanta right in the heart of the depression and he had nothing but a dream in his heart and $17.28 in his pocket. And he took $17.28 in a dream and turned it into millions of dollars. He didn't have a force behind him, one of 12 children Coming from the country. My daddy was crazy In his faith Because he had a courage. He was 5'9 and 128 pounds, but he was a giant in our eyes because he had six sons and let me tell you this he didn't start until he was 40 years old. He was almost 50 when I was born, had my younger brother at 55 and had my baby brother at 60.

Speaker 1:

So, pastor Barrington, I might just have another child. You know what you never can tell, and some people would assume that if you had money, that you have to make a choice between money and God. You don't have to choose between God and money. You only have to choose which one you're going to serve, and I made a decision a long time ago, god, I'm going to serve you with everything that I have in my heart. I fell in love with the Lord, jesus Christ.

Speaker 1:

I have been teaching the Bible every single week since 1976, 1976. You do the math every single week since 1976. So you do the math every single week since 1976. So you do the math and the blessings that it brings just by walking with God, has been an incredible journey. So I would read through my bible every, every single, uh year, and multiple times until it was distilled, and I still keep on.

Speaker 1:

You don't ever graduate from the Bible, ever, ever. It's my lifeline and it has given me the revelation of who Jesus is, because he never wants us to go into a place in the future where we go without Jesus being the centrality. It's not built on us, it's built on him. He's the cornerstone, he's the center of it all. And if it's not a revelation of it, you know when he was walking on the road of Emmaus in Luke, chapter 24, and he's walking with the disciples and they didn't even recognize him. And that's why people have to be careful how people treat you, because they don't ever know that Jesus is on the inside of you and they're beholding because they're looking at your outside, they're looking at your background, they're looking at your level of education, they're looking at your accent, but you've got Jesus living on the inside. It's Christ in you, the hope of glory. He's on the inside of you. And so he began.

Speaker 1:

The Bible talks about it in Luke, chapter 24, how he began to open to them the scriptures, beginning at Moses. Why Moses? Because Moses is the one that authored, gave us Genesis, exodus, leviticus, numbers. He gave it so even from the beginning and I just believe that if he were there, if we were there and able to hear that conversation, he would have said listen.

Speaker 1:

In Genesis, I'm the seed of the woman. In Exodus, I'm the Passover lamb. In Leviticus, I'm the high priest. In Numbers, I'm the pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night. In Deuteronomy, I'm the prophet like unto Moses. In Joshua, I'm the captain of your salvation. In Judges, I'm your judge and lawgiver. In Ruth, I'm your kinsman redeemer. In 1 and 2 Samuel, samuel, I'm a trusted prophet. In Kings and Chronicles, I'm your reigning king. In Ezra, I'm a faithful scribe. In Nehemiah, I'm the rebuilder of the broken down walls and human life. In Esther, I'm your Mordecai. In Job, I am your day spring on high and your ever-living redeemer. For I know that my redeemer is living In Psalms. He's the Lord, our shepherd. I shall not want who leads me beside the still waters and who restores my soul.

Speaker 1:

In Proverbs and Ecclesiastes, he's our wisdom. In Song of Solomon, he's the lover and the bridegroom. In Isaiah, he's the prince of peace. In Jeremiah, he's the righteous branch. In Lamentation, he's a weeping prophet. In Ezekiel, he's a wonderful four-faced man. In Daniel, he's the fourth man in the burning fiery furnace. In Hosea, he's a faithful husband, forever married to the backslider. In Joel, he's a baptizer with the Holy Ghost and with fire. In Amos, he's our burden bearer. In Obadiah, he's a mighty to save. In Jonah, he's a great foreign missionary.

Speaker 1:

And I'm just telling you that, this same Jesus that went up, my God, he's coming again in like manner. And I'm so glad that, this same Jesus that we live and breathe and testify about and sing about and worship in our spirit, that when he comes back, he's coming back for a people he is, because he's Abel's sacrifice, he's Noah's rainbow, he's Abraham's ram in the thickets, he's Isaac's whale, he's Jacob's ladder. He's Judah's scepter. He's Moses' rod. He's Elijah's mantle. He's Elijah's staff. He's gideon's fleece. He's samuel's horn of oil. He's david slingshot. He's isaiah's figs. He's hezekiah sundial. He's peter's shadow. He's paul's hang of the napalm. He's stephen's.

Speaker 1:

My god, I'm feeling the holy ghost in this place. Stephen's signs and wonders. He's john's pearly white city. He is the king of glory. I'm just telling you that Jesus is coming back. He is. He's coming back in all of his glory. He's coming back in all of his power, in all of his anointing. And so he did it, walking back to the old, the old Testament. And you can walk him through the new Testament, because in Matthew he's the Messiah.

Speaker 1:

In Mark he's a wonder worker. In Luke he's the son of man and in John he's the son of God. In Acts, he's the Holy Ghost. In Romans, he's our justifier. In 1 and 2 Corinthians, he's our sanctifier.

Speaker 1:

In Galatians, he's the redeemer from the curse of the law. In Ephesians, he's the Christ of unsearchable riches. In Philippians, he's our God, who shall supply all of our needs according to his riches and glory. In Colossians, he's a fullness of the Godhead bodily. In 1 and 2 Thessalonians, he's our soon-coming king.

Speaker 1:

In 1 and 2 Timothy. He's our mediator between God and man In Titus. He's a faithful pastor. In Philemon, he's a friend that sticketh closer than a brother In Hebrews. He's the blood of the everlasting covenant In James. He's the great physician In 1nd Peter.

Speaker 1:

He's our soon coming shepherd, who shall appear with a cloud of unfading glory In 1st, 2nd and 3rd John. He's love In Jude. He's the Lord coming with 10,000 of his saints, and in Revelation he's King of kings and Lord of lords. And that Jesus, he is indeed coming back. He's coming back and he's coming back for a people. He's coming back for a people without a spot or wrinkle that have faith in him, who can trust in him and who have been stretched to become more. Because when he comes back, and if we have tried to give him back what he gave us, we'll be insulted and he'll say you slothful Slothful is another word for lazy you, lazy, servant, enter into this eternal darkness, because sometimes what God has given us, whenever you pray for bread Hear me carefully God answers that prayer of bread by giving you seed, because the Bible promises that he gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater and bread to the eater, but you get the bread.

Speaker 1:

Bread is not just dropping from heaven. Bread is made by process. It's made by process. The only reason that God rained down manna is because the people were nomadic and they couldn't stay there long enough to be able to reap the harvest and make it. So God says I'm going to give it to you. I'm going to disrupt the situation right now Because every time and I'm going to tell you this just from living experience that if God calls you to do something, you will run into a barrier.

Speaker 1:

Barriers are very real. They're not a part of your imagination. Barriers are real. There are no real opportunities without opposition. Real, there will come there. There are no real opportunities without opposition. There will be barriers to everything.

Speaker 1:

Every time that you get ready to grow to another level, you're going to deal with a barrier. It can be a government regulations, uh. It can be finances. It can be people who don't understand the vision yet. But you will run into barriers because in front of every promised land, in front of every promised land, in front of every promised land, there's always a problem, and it is the problem that actually brings us to have this indomitable will to be able to have the faith of the living God to be able to say God, you brought me to this place and I know you haven't brought us this far to leave us.

Speaker 1:

Every time you will go through trauma. It will affect sometimes your sleeping patterns and your appetites, because when God is stretching you, growing you, expanding your territory, when he's about to bring you into a promised land, it will disrupt everything that you have known as normal. You can no longer become comfortable in the place where you are. It's a sign when you know, when you've got pain, when attitudes start happening in your house with your children, it's a sign that it's. It's that season where it won't be long before it's time for you to go, because now you, you're grown. So whenever you grow, you go, you grow, you go, you grow, you go. We as, as we grow, then God will send us, but he has prepared us for a season. And you go, you grow, you go as we grow. Then God will send us, but he has prepared us for a season. And when you go out, you go out as somebody who is actually finding this path that God is calling us to. That's what the word leader is.

Speaker 1:

I'm so grateful to see the leader in Pastor Bowers. He's a leader. He is a leader, and leader is an Indo-European word. It comes from two separate words L-E-A, which means path, and D-E-R, der, which means finder.

Speaker 1:

A leader is literally a path finder. Nobody's going to tell you where to go. You can't open up somebody's book a mentor's book, a spiritual father's book and you know where you need to go. No, no, no, you got to dig your own. Well, you got to dig your own anointing. You got to be able to find and hear the voice of God. Nobody else can tell you. The leader has to search it out, they search it out.

Speaker 1:

A leader is a path finder. It's like God will call you to do something but won't tell you how. He'll tell you the what, but he won't tell you the how. He'll tell you the what, and he doesn't always tell you the when, but when. You are a path finder, a leader.

Speaker 1:

A leader looks for little nuances. A leaf that has been nibbled on said that the big game has gone this way. They are looking, they are finding the path as they go. They are finding the path as they go. They are finding a footprint in another place. This is the place, because as soon as you get and your feet hit that ground, something will happen in your shana now, on the inside, and you will realize, god. I don't know what it is that you are doing, but there is something about this place that God will divinely confirm that this is the place. Get up, abraham, and go into the place that I will show you. I'll tell you to go before you'll see it. I'm going to tell you to go before you will see it. I will tell you to go before you will see it, before you see it, before you see it, and I tell you, if you let's trust God to do that, something supernatural will happen in your life. And I'm telling you there's something that God is doing in Pastor Bauer's life that's going to be a lid lifter for yours, a lid lifter. For yours, a lid lifter. I, just While I was sitting in my room, right before I came, I wrote a scripture down that the Lord gave me concerning you, and I think it's a prophetic verse.

Speaker 1:

It's in Genesis, chapter 49 and verse 22. And it says this this is where Jacob was blessing his children and he blessed Joseph. To bless doesn't mean that you put something in. To bless means actually that you release it out. You let it out.

Speaker 1:

When a father blesses his children, this is one of the things. Listen, I haven't gotten a dime of my dad's money. I don't need his money. The greatest thing that somebody can do a rich man can do for you is not give you his money, but reveal to you your own treasure. There's treasure in them, their heels, there's treasure. There's a treasure on the inside of you. There's a treasure on the inside of you. And so when a father blesses and I'm going to tell you this and I hope that somebody will catch something from this that you'll employ in your own family when my father was 75 years old, he went over to Alabama and saw a resort that he liked there, on 700 acres of land, and my daddy bought it, and so we were having a Thanksgiving celebration there and my dad had all six of his sons to kneel down before him.

Speaker 1:

And though he was not a minister, he was a businessman, but he was a deacon in the church, serving faithfully, and he took out a little vial of oil and walked around and anointed each one of his six sons and prayed an Abrahamic style, blessing over our life. It wasn't putting it in, it was letting it out. I am doing today what my daddy spoke prophetically in blessing into my life, my god, and listen when, when parents, particularly a father, uses the authority of his voice not to curse his children out, but to bless something on the inside of them and reveal to them a treasure, a god-ordained purpose that they may not be able to see at that moment. And it will shift destiny when they come into the revelation of what God will do on the inside. And so I just heard this prophetic word in Genesis, chapter 49 and verse 22. It says this Joseph is a fruitful bow.

Speaker 1:

It's a vine, it's a, it's a thing. And it says a fruitful bow by the springs, uh, his branches run over the wall. His branches run over the wall. Look at that. Joseph is a fruitful bowl, even a fruitful bowl by a well. Well is a watering place. It is a sign of prosperity and the spirit of God, because God is like spirit, he's a flowing thing, a moving entity whose branches run over the wall.

Speaker 1:

A wall is a place of confinement. A wall is a limitation of confinement. A wall is a limitation, uh, uh, uh, it's a barrier. Now notice, it's not stopped by the wall, it runs over the wall. Yes, yes, yes, yes, listen, listen, and I want you to understand that j that Joseph was hated by his other family members.

Speaker 1:

Somehow, god loves to go to the black sheep of the family. He likes to go to the one that nobody thought would ever amount to anything. Nobody could see it. I'm just telling you. I saw it prophetically, in the spirit, like he's a lid lifter Because God went into a man's life and chose something that maybe he couldn't see in himself at the time. But there's a mark of Joseph, there's a favor that's on his life, a favor, and let me just tell you, favor will do for you more than money can do. Favor will give you access. Favor will open doors. Me. Just tell you, favor will do for you more than money can do. Favor will give you access. Favor will open doors.

Speaker 1:

I saw in the realm of the spirit a fog all over this land and I realized after a moment that it's not just fog. It is the fog, the favor of god, my god, that is moving over this land. It cannot be contained by this building. It has no capacity that what starts in the building will flow out and seep out of the doors like the water that fills the tabernacle, and it will flow and touch the cities. It's going. It's like a fruitful bowl that will run over the walls and the areas of containment. That says that this is your field. No, you will not just stay there. You will not just stay there and then look at the next verse.

Speaker 1:

If you look at the next verse, uh, there it says that the archers bitterly attacked him. The archers bitterly attacked him. The archers have solely grieved him and shot at him and hated him. He wasn't loved at first, because when god's favor comes on you, you're going to create enemies. Let me just say this to you Blessings come with persecution, blessings come with persecution, blessings come with persecution. The archers have sorely grieved him and shot at him and hated them.

Speaker 1:

And then look at verse 24. And notice what it says. But his bow, abode in strength that your haters still won't be able to stop you, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty god of jacob, is bigger than your hands, oh my god. And fence is the shepherd, fence is the shepherd. He's a joseph among you. He's a joseph among you. And joseph was hated by his brothers to the degree that they plotted to kill him, sold him into slavery, but it still can stop him because god, the force of god's favor that is on you.

Speaker 1:

And when you've gone and had weapons formed against you and they've shot at you and they've tried to kill you with their tongues and with accusations and with addictions and with sneaky, freaky things in your past, and God says I knew everything that you were struggling with even before I called you and I chose to call you anyhow, and there are some people here that you've come from limited things and nobody's ever been able to finish school and be able to go to college. But you're getting ready to break some barriers, in the name of Jesus. You haven't been able to hold a job, but I'm telling you, some cycles are getting ready to be broken in the name of Jesus. I feel God moving in this place. I feel the favor of God that what comes on him, and listen to the degree that people come and submit under the, the anointing, because you see, the anointing is poured on the head and then it comes down to the beard.

Speaker 1:

Eldership, maturity in christ. This is not for immature people that are still in their own ego and their pride. This is about maturity, because little boys can't grow a beard, and so the oil comes on the head, runs down to the beard, even to the garment and the skirts of the garment. And that means that, whatever, if you need the blessing to come on your life, pray for the head, because anointing only flows in one direction it flows down, it doesn't start at the feet and then come up, it starts in the head.

Speaker 1:

If you want to be in biblical order, the thing that God has done in the Joseph of your house, my God, that everything that under Joseph's rule began to prosper, everything that was put in his jurisdiction, every place that you would go, if you go into the military, the favor will be there and God will speak to you and find you in that place. If you go into law, he will speak to you in that faith place and doors will open and favor will come in the name of Jesus. And somebody will say well, why don't you just stay in this lane? Because you run over the wall. You go over the wall. You go over the wall.

Speaker 1:

There is an anointing of God to be able to break you out of cycles and circles who said that you have to be this, or that Rich people don't think this, or that it's this and that, how can I do this and that? And let me just give you just one little tool, because every time the devil begins to attack you, all that you need is a pivot word. The moment that he tries to attack you and make you feel insecure about yourself, that you don't have a husband, use this three-letter pivot. Yet you don't have all of the money yet. You're not healed in your body yet. But listen, when God is doing something by the power of the Holy Ghost, man has no capacity to be able to stop you at all, because there is an anointing to be able to run over the wall. He was the only one that was spoken about as one that would have an anointing. That would be as a fruitful bowl, a fruitful vine that would run over the walls. That said that nobody in our family has not done this before, because he's running over the limitations of his natural family bloodline and the natural family of somebody who's been planted in north carolina and running over the wall of somebody limited to the south, running over the wall, a fruitful vine running over the wall.

Speaker 1:

You're going to break barriers. I'm just telling you. This is a prophetic picture of where is to come your life. Have you ever seen kudzu? That's what I want you to get the picture of, because it's climbing over the wall. It's climbing over the wall. It will not be contained, it'll bust up through concrete. There will be hard things coming against you, but if you just give it time, it's coming up and it's going to spread. It's going spread. It's going to spread. It's a vine that's going over the wall. It's going over the wall. This is your year to start expanding and breaking out of those limiting thought patterns, limiting situations, limiting financial decision.

Speaker 1:

It is time, in the name of Jesus, for you to be able to get the power of the Holy Ghost to say whatever is on, my leader is in my life. I claim that for me, that anointing belongs to me, that favor of God belongs to me. You'll need the favor of God to be able to open doors, because you can just have favor on your life. The favor of God opens doors, but influence changes nations and it takes courage, courage, courage. If I had to tell you three things, I would tell you this you need the favor of God and you need the courage of God and you need the wisdom of God, because, because if you don't have wisdom To know what to do with the blessing, you'll run too fast with it and you can end up crippling something that God has said.

Speaker 1:

I want this to go through process. If you're going to possess, you go through process. God has to process you Because he had to process Egypt out of them. He walked them around for 40 years, not because it took them that long they could have gotten there nine months but he was processing an old mindset, he was processing the old system that was operating. And listen, if you don't download, you can't upgrade. May I tell you that this is just a download, because it's time for your life to upgrade to a new addition, that God has something that he's coming and what comes in you.

Speaker 1:

It may not look like much's a seed, and any fool can count the numbers of seed in an apple, but only God can count the number of apples in the seed. And listen, don't be discouraged in it because, as God trusts you with it, as long as you walk in humility, it is in humility. It's a lot, because what I see that God is doing here, it's a big, heavy vision and it's going to take heavy lifting and the secret of the success Is all in how you lift the load, and if you try to lift it with your back erect and your own pride saying, look at what I did, god will let you break your back. But the way you lift a heavy load is by bending your knees. When you bend your knees, you take the pressure off of your back. Father, I stretch my hands to thee. No other help I know. If thou withdraw thyself from me, where shall I Shall I go? You didn't come here to leave the same way that you came in Jesus' name Bound, oppressed, tormented, sick or lame. For the Holy Ghost of Acts is still the same, and we won't leave here like we came in Jesus' name. And I'm finished when I tell you this.

Speaker 1:

In between service I told you I've got 16 grandchildren and one of my granddaughters she was about four years old at the time. We were in between services and you know how we try to occupy them with something creative, and so I gave her a little piece of paper and just one piece of crayon that I had in my office, and there she started coloring, and she was so excited until, all of a sudden, she bore down too hard on the crayon and it broke and they call me G-Daddy, and so G-Daddy comes over to try to fix it. And I told her. I said you see your cousin over there. She didn't have anything to play with.

Speaker 1:

And I took the two pieces of the crayon and I said now you've got something to share. I said you have nothing to share until you've been broken. You've got something to share. I said you have nothing to share until you've been broken. Now she's four years old. She doesn't understand the revelation. And so I asked I stopped right there and I just pray a prayer on the inside and I said Lord, help me to be able to communicate this truth to her on a level where she can get it.

Speaker 1:

And no sooner than I said those words, I just instinctively picked up one of the pieces of the broken crayon and began to move it across the paper, saying the words broken crayons, steal color. Broken crayonsons steal color. Broken crayons steal color Because there is just as much efficacy and hue and color in the rich nuances of the color in the broken crayon as it was in the whole piece. And though the pressure broke you While you were trying To do the vision, you're still going to be able to finish your picture, even with the broken Crayon, because broken Crayons Still color, broken Crayons Still color. Broken crayons steal color. If the marriage broke, broken crayons steal color Because God will never tie your destiny to somebody that left. God is God and he is God alone and he's not put your destiny in the hands of another two-legged human being. So if they could walk out, it meant that the rest of your destiny was not critical for them to be there for God to fulfill it in your life, because broken crayons still color.

Speaker 1:

This is a new day and I declare in the name of Jesus that whatever broke in your life, that broke in your finances, that broke in your mindset, that broke in your things, and I'm just telling you what I see in the realm of the spirit is this it is like one of those little type of glow in the dark kinds of things where you have to break it and then it's fixed. There are some things that God cannot fix until he first breaks it, and that's why Jesus took bread and he broke it, and then he, my God, you're not ready to be given until God has broken you, until God has broken everything, because brokenness on earth creates openness in heaven. Brokenness on earth creates openness in heaven. Brokenness on earth creates openness in heaven, and I declare in the name of Jesus I see the brokenness on earth creates openness in heaven, and I declare in the name of jesus I see the brokenness that has happened in this place, I see the brokenness that has happened in your life, but I can tell you that broken crayon still color and there's an open heaven here. There's an open heaven. There's an open heaven, and everything that you need will come from the showers of blessings when you're under an open heaven.

Speaker 1:

I want you to know that those three million people that came out of egypt, as god led them through, that the bible says that after 40 years there was not one feeble one among them. When you're under open heaven, your body gets healed. When your energy has dissipated, when you're under an open heaven, somehow all of a sudden you become re-energized. Get your vision back. Listen, it's time to dream another dream. It's time now to be expanded.

Speaker 1:

I just came to just say, to just speak into an atmosphere. So whoever missed it is in the atmosphere, it's in the ground here, and and the prophetic things will see, because the word of the lord shall not return void, but it'll prosper unto the thing whereto it is sent, and it's going to keep on going and keep on going until every jot and tittle, every tittle, every jot A tittle is the little dot that's over the J, it's the little tilde that's over the N in the Spanish language. And so every jot and tittle will be fulfilled. Heaven and earth will pass away, but the word, the word that God gives you, and that's why everything that God does, he will do with the word. Finish your picture in living color, because broken crayons steal color. God bless you. I love you.
