It's Time To Move Forward | Acts 2:14 | Pastor Walter Bowers Jr.

Pastor Walter Bowers Jr. Season 6 Episode 22

Pentecost represents a divine catalyst for spiritual advancement, calling believers to move beyond their past limitations into God's empowering presence. Today's message explores how the Holy Spirit transforms ordinary people by filling them with supernatural power to fulfill their God-given purpose.

• Pentecost celebrates renewal, restoring what has been devoured by life's difficulties
• The Holy Spirit fills not just buildings but individual believers, equipping each person uniquely
• God accepts us with our imperfections, demonstrated through the leavened bread offerings in Leviticus
• Character development must match our spiritual calling to avoid personal shipwreck
• Peter's journey from denial to boldness illustrates God's redemptive power through the Spirit
• Waiting with expectation alongside other believers creates an atmosphere for breakthrough
• The 50th day represents God's perfect timing for supernatural intervention
• Generational connection between seniors and young adults strengthens the church body
• Spiritual gifts need activation through intentional asking and openness to God's power
• Moving forward requires both the power of the Holy Spirit and our willing participation

Join us tomorrow evening as we continue pressing into God's presence. We believe supernatural manifestations of the Spirit will continue to shower down as we gather in faith and expectancy.

Speaker 1:

Just a few minutes ago, I had to ask Deacon Jones to coordinate with the parking lot team ministry to let them know to encourage people to park at the front door so they wouldn't have to walk in the rain and in the shower. And as I was at that communion table watching it rain, the Lord said no, this is not a storm today. He said notice, you don't hear any thunder, you don't see any lightning. He said today it's a shower. So if you got wet on your way in, don't worry about it, it's just a shower. If you see me crying in church, I'm good, it's just a shower. And I need some people that have come in on today because we need his spirit to do what? To shower down. Yeah, that's why we're here for today. We got to let his glory fill this place and we got to let him shower down. Spirit of the living God, have your way in this place. Touch, like only you can Heal, like only you can Set free, like only you can Shower down, like only you can. And, oh Lord, we'll be careful to give your name all of the glory, to give your name all of the honor, give your name all of the praise, for it's in the powerful name of Jesus, we pray. We thank you in advance for the shower. We thank you in advance for people being filled with the Holy Spirit. We thank you in advance for what you're going to do today. We decree and declare in your name, in your will, that it is so. Miracle signs and wonders are our lot. Today, we declare it in jesus name. We join the world of believers across the planet that are praying for pentecost. In jesus name, we pray. Let the people of God say amen, amen, amen To God, be the glory. To God, be the glory, To God, be the glory. Listen, family. There is a word from the Lord is found in Acts, the second chapter, verse 14. Acts, the second chapter, verse 14. Second chapter, verse 14. And it is our custom to read the word of God out loud together here. So let's do that now, ready, set, read. Then Peter stepped forward, hold up, stop right there. That's it. That's all's all we gonna need for today. Then peter stepped forward and the word that the lord has given us today for this pentecost 2025 is it's time to move forward. Turn it, turn to three people and tell them it's time to move forward. It's time to move forward. It's time to move forward. Hey, it's time to move forward. Hey, it's time to move forward. The Lord is saying this year hallelujah, hallelujah. The Lord is saying this year hallelujah, hallelujah. The Lord is saying in 2025, family, that it's time for us to move forward.

Speaker 1:

Pentecost is a celebration of forward movement. It is the Lord saying that you've been where you are long enough and it's time for me to take you to another dimension. You've been where you are long enough. It's time for me to draw you closer to me. You've been where you are long enough. It's time for you to really get connected with your purpose. It's time to move forward. I want to talk to some people in the room and let you know that God sent you here not to check the religious block today. He sent you here so that check the religious block today. He sent you here so that you could hear for your life and for your family that it's time to move forward.

Speaker 1:

This is a supernatural day, not because God esteems one day on the calendar higher than another, but it's a supernatural day because this is an unusual day in Christianity. Worldwide. Across the globe, people are praying for Pentecostal power. People are praying that in the midst of everything that's going on in their governments, in everything that is going on in their families, in everything that's going on in their health. They are praying for power, and the celebration of Pentecost is that we get to tap in into this power that God is releasing, not because of a day on the calendar, but because of our faith. Not because of a day on the calendar, but because of our faith. In other words, we can come in here in all red, we can come in here in all white, but if we don't believe that God is going to do something supernatural, we might as well have come in in our jeans and white tees, because, at the end of the day, this is about what we believe, and I don't know about you.

Speaker 1:

I believe not just because what God has shown me. I believe because I stand on the word, and the word declares that the Holy Spirit gives us a power and an authority to do exceedingly, abundantly and, above all, that we can ask or imagine Can I pull the room? Do I have some people that have come to church today because you need some power? Uh, yeah, you gotta. You gotta really say you know, I, I really can't. I really need some power today, god, because I understand the assignment. You ought to be excited because now, uh, you join the cloud of witnesses in Montego Bay, jamaica, that are having church over there. I know a pastor, an AME pastor, in Bermuda. They're having Pentecost service over there.

Speaker 1:

When I had a chance to go to Haiti, I know some Haitian pastors over there in the middle of everything that's going on. And, lord, send your power to Haiti. I know some Christians they are few in number, even in the Middle East that are saying God, we're surrounded by people that don't believe what we believe and we get ostracized and our lives are in danger for what we believe. God, send your power, and there are some of you that are surrounded by people who don't believe what you believe and you, like God, I'm gonna ride you, but I need your power. I need some people in the room that say I want to tap in with prayer warriors across the country that are saying God today, release your power and everything that's going on in our nation. We need his power in ways like we've never needed his power before. Pentecost is so powerful, but to in in it, to tap into the power, you kind of got to know what it is that we talking about.

Speaker 1:

Pentecost means 50 50 days um after um, the uh, the passover, 50 days after resurrection for Christians, but Pentecost is also a celebration, y'all. This day was so important to me because I see God releasing power, like he did at the 8 o'clock service. But he's going to do something special, something custom, for this 10 o'clock service. But he's going to do something special, something custom for what is 10 o'clock service today. But to make sure that we were ready, I snuck into our worship team rehearsal. They are always on it. They always, even when they are rehearsing, they do it with a posture and sincerity, and so I just enjoy them. But this time I came in with a pop quiz.

Speaker 1:

This time because Pentecost was coming and I wanted them to make sure that they understood their assignment for today. I wanted them to make sure that they understood what was on the line today, because there are people that are in this room that, as you understand that Pentecost and that power is being released, you understand that you need some power. That, as you understand that Pentecost and that power is being released, you understand that you need some power because, if you examine yourselves, what you will discover is that somebody on your row is operating with a power shortage. Yeah, there's somebody on your row right now. They're operating with a power shortage. There's a power shortage in their thinking. It's why they think the way that they do. There's a power shortage in their thinking. It's why they think the way that they do. There's a power shortage in their heart. That's why it's hard for them to love again. There's a power shortage in their body. That's why they deal with constant sickness. There's a power shortage in their resources and that's why it seems like, no matter how much money they make, it's as if it's never enough and it it could be.

Speaker 1:

You don't be ashamed if it's you, because if you're dealing with the power shortage, I want to let you know that I got something today that do energy can't give you. Yeah, I got something today that doesn't even um, belong to me. I'm, I'm just, I'm just a conduit in this whole thing. Yeah, I'm, I'm just a wire. I'm I'm just a squirrel trying to get a nut. I'm I'm just a part of what God is doing. But God is saying that today I'm going to release the power. But you got to understand what's happening if you're going to tap into this power source and I asked the praise team.

Speaker 1:

I said what does Pentecost mean to you? And I was so glad that our praise team they know Jesus. You got gotta have some praise people that know Jesus. Right, this ain't no concert. We here to worship the true and living God. You gotta have some people that live for him in this work.

Speaker 1:

And I asked them and, and, and one of the answers that they told me was that Pentecost is about restoration, pentecost is about revival, that Pentecost is about renewal, and and and. And that's the first thing actually that I want to share with you is that Pentecost is about renewal, and that's the first thing actually that I want to share with you is that Pentecost is the celebration of renewal in your life. Pentecost is the celebration of renewal in your life. Now, I just can't tell you that simply because the praise team said it, because sometimes people say stuff and I need a chapter and verse to back that thing up and I say so, so, so if Pentecost is, is renewal and restoration, what does the Bible say?

Speaker 1:

And the Lord took me to to Joel, the prophet Joel, and in the second chapter here there's a season where Israel has lost it all. And I want to talk to somebody that has lost it all, but you've also recovered some things. But I want to talk to some people that lost it all, but you've also recovered some things. But I want to talk to some people that have lost a lot of stuff and let you know that Pentecost is a celebration of renewal and what happened was that they had gotten outside of God's will for their life and they lost so much. And that always happens. Whenever we get outside God's will for our lives, we lose so much.

Speaker 1:

But I thank God for Pentecost. That's why I testify to y'all the way I testify to y'all, because I want y'all to know that don't look at me today if you're not going to be willing to embrace my yesterday. Yeah, don't celebrate what God is doing today if you ain't going to embrace the fact that you had a pastor that had some mud too. Yeah, we started at the bottom, but Pentecost came, and now we are here and that is all I want to prophesy in your life is don't be ashamed of the mud season. You started at the bottom, but Pentecost has come and you're about to be here. How do I know? Because Israel is being spoken to in their bottom season.

Speaker 1:

It's amazing how God doesn't just talk to us when we're at the top. He talks to us when we are at the bottom. They are at the bottom and they have lost so much. And he sends a prophet, because whenever God wants to speak to his people, he will always send a prophet. That's why we have to embrace the gifts. Everybody is not a preacher, but there are some that have been given a prophetic utterance just when the people need it the most. And he sends this prophet when Israel is at the bottom, when they are in Babylonian captivity, when they have lost their homeland, when they have lost their joy, when they have lost their peace, when they have lost their hope and the future does not look bright and the government is not on their side and they're downsizing and they're closing things. He sends this prophet to Israel and he says so I will restore the years that the swarming locust has eaten this and um, the crawling locust.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, anybody ever um been in a in a drought? Because what happened here is that Israel was in a drought and, as a result of being in the drought, the locust showed up. It's bad enough to be in a drought, but it's worse to be in a drought and the locust show up. In other words, I'm in a drought, that means I'm not in a season of fruitfulness, but then the little bit that I have left is suddenly starting to be devoured. Somebody know what I'm talking about the little piece that I had left. Now you're trying to devour that, the little bit of happiness that I had left. You're trying to devour that, the little bit of time that I have for myself. You're trying to devour that. And that's a bad place to be in a drought. And it's even worse when the locusts show up trying to eat the little bit of sanity that you got left.

Speaker 1:

And here is what the prophet says. He says the Lord declares I will restore to you the years. Somebody say the years. Yeah, there are some of you that have been in a drought for years, and the Lord brought you here today because you have been in the drought for years. I literally see tears on your face right now because you thought that God didn't see you, but I want to remind you that he sees you, and this is a word just for you. As a matter of fact, those are not tears, it's a shower. Good God, almighty, that's somebody on your road right now. It's a shower. It's a shower right now. And then he says this is what he says to that shower. He says I'm about to restore the years that the swarming locusts have eaten. Did you hear what I said? You're about to get years back from that bad relationship. You're about to get years back from that bad business deal. You're about to get years back that you thought were lost. You declared that it was too late, but God said I just begun.

Speaker 1:

He, he says I'm going to restore the years that the swarming locusts have eaten, that the crawling locusts have eaten, that the consuming locusts and the chewing locusts. Which suggests that many of us are dealing with not one locust, but we're dealing with all types of locusts locusts on our mind, locusts on our purpose, locusts on our passion. As the Lord says, I'm about to send an army and that army is about to get rid of the locusts. Did you hear what God said? There's an army that's about to be released and the locusts must die. God, he's about to say it's about to be a ship. Somebody say get ready for the ship. Yeah, I need some people on a Pentecost Sunday morning to say it's about to ship them.

Speaker 1:

My life, say God's army are about to kill the locusts. You got to prophesy this thing. I can preach it, but you got to believe it. I can preach it, but you got to declare it. I need about 15 of y'all in the room to say Pastor, you preach it and I'll declare it. Well, I just preached that the locust is about to die. I just preached that the year is about to be restored. I just preached you about to cover it all. Now I need you to declare it out of your own mouth. I need you to say it like you mean it, because we walk by faith and not by sight.

Speaker 1:

And the Lord said here's what he's about to do for you. You shall Somebody say you, you shall somebody say you shall. You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied. There's a season of satisfaction coming to your life. Frustration is about to come to an end. You shall be satisfied and you will praise the name of the lord who dealt with all of your sorrows. And you may be asking yourself this question how is this going to happen? How does this connect to Pentecost? Well, if you look at verse 28, the Lord says the way that he's going to kill the locusts, the way that you shall be satisfied.

Speaker 1:

Check this out. He's about to pour out his spirit on all flesh. Oh, he said that your sons and daughters shall prophesy. Your old men shall dream dreams. He's about to pour out his spirit on all flesh. Did you hear what I just said?

Speaker 1:

Not just on the people with a clergy collar, not just on the people that go to church.

Speaker 1:

He's about to pour out his spirit on the ones that y'all call YNs. He's about to pour out his spirit on the young ladies that ain't been to church in a while. He's about to pour out his spirit on the boys that's at the trap spot right now. He's about to pour out his spirit in prison cells. He's going to pour out his spirit at the club, because I know somebody that got saved at the club. He's about to pour out his spirit not on people that have a title, but on all flesh. And you ought to get ready now, because he's about to pour his spirit on you, and he's already poured his spirit on some of y'all. That's why you got dreams you're trying to interpret, that's why you got visions that you're trying to understand, because God has said I got a plan for you, and the celebration of Pentecost is that I'm not done with you yet and all I need is about 10 people that don't mind praising God for the fact that he's not done with you yet.

Speaker 3:

He ain't done.

Speaker 1:

He ain't done. Pentecost is a celebration of renewal. Pentecost is a celebration that God is a promise keeper. Pentecost is a celebration that God is a promise keeper. John, the 16th chapter. He told his followers, he told the believers that it's my time to return to my father and they were afraid. They were afraid because if they tried to kill them while Jesus was there, what would they do? When he wasn't walking next to him, and he said I'll go away. But now I go away to him. Who sent me? And none of you asked me where are you going?

Speaker 1:

But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart. Sometimes we get sorrowful when we don't understand the move of God. Sometimes we don't understand what God is doing and it causes us to be fearful. But this is what Jesus says. Nevertheless, I tell you the truth. It almost like Jesus said here's the raw and the real straight note chase. He said it is to your advantage that I go away, to my advantage.

Speaker 1:

Do y'all read the Bible and, like, ask questions? Because when the first time I read this and Jesus said I'm about to leave you and you say it's to my advantage, hold up, jesus, now let me get this straight when you walking by me, if I get hungry, you can throw the baddest fish fry on the planet with two fish and five loads of bread. If you walking by me and I get cataracts and I go blind, you can spit in mud and tell me to go wash in the pool and I'll see again. If you walking by my sister and she has a blood condition, has been bleeding for 12 long years with you next us, all my sister had to do was touch the hem of your garment and the blood condition came to an end. Oh, my goodness, I felt something in the Holy Spirit. I want to say this I see somebody's blood condition coming to an end. Yeah, I see it.

Speaker 1:

In Jesus' name. In Jesus' name, y'all pray that with me. Pray it. Be out in the seat. That's so, woman. The Lord said the blood is about to. The flow will cease. In Jesus' name, yeah.

Speaker 1:

So I'm trying to understand, lord. We understand that there are legions of angels waiting If this journey of yours gets too hard. The Bible says you can call down a legion of angels to wipe out your enemy at any time. So help me to understand, god, make it make sense how you going to tell me that it's to my advantage if you leave. And here comes Pentecost.

Speaker 1:

He said because if I don't go away the helper will not come. And I said that's cool, but can he help like you help? He said you don't understand the helper because you don't understand me. He said Jesus said when he was in earth he walked alongside of us. But when the helper comes, the Holy Ghost, he won't walk alongside of us, he's gonna walk in us.

Speaker 1:

And if you got the helper inside of you, jesus said greater works shall you be able to do in my name. And instead of everybody always having to run to me for various problems, they ought to be able to run to you. And when you got your own problems, when the helper is inside of you, you ought to be able to decree and declare your own miracle. And I need some Holy Ghost filled fire, baptized folk in the room that know that God has worked through you and you have prayed for somebody to get healed and the Lord let them live a little while longer. I need you to stand on your feet and testify so that some other people in the room will know that you got some power with the help of the Holy Ghost and now some of y'all in the room.

Speaker 1:

You've been waiting on everybody else to fix your problem. You've been waiting on everybody else to fix your business, but I want to remind you that if you feel with the Holy Ghost, the answer to your problem is on the inside of you. How do I know this? Because Jesus declared, with the help of the Holy Ghost, whatever is bound on earth shall be bound in heaven. That means I can bind demonic attack. That means I can bind sickness.

Speaker 2:

That means I can bind poverty. That means I can bind stronghold.

Speaker 1:

But he also said whatever is loosed on earth shall be loosed in heaven, and I feel a loosing happening in this place.

Speaker 2:

I feel about 200 people that are praying for the spirit to shower down like never before and your prayer is about to loose a healing. Your prayer is about to loose a miracle, your prayer is about to loose a breakthrough.

Speaker 1:

Your prayer is about to lose a breakthrough, but you got to believe it for yourself and the Lord said the power to do greater is inside of me.

Speaker 2:

Somebody say it's in me. Somebody say he's in me. He's in me.

Speaker 1:

That's our celebration family of Pentecost, of Pentecost. See, pentecost Is a celebration of the fact that Lord kept his promise and it's a reminder that if he kept his promise To pour out his spirit, you need to be encouraged that he's going to keep his promise. Concerning your current situation, I need to talk to some of y'all in the room right here real quick. There are some situations in this room that have been really worrying you, but Pentecost is that reminder that he kept his promise then. He's going to keep his promise now. The Lord said hold on a little while. He's going to keep his promise.

Speaker 1:

Pentecost is also family. I asked and Chris answered quickly on this one. I don't know if he had to answer on his paper. He answered so fast. He said Pentecost is a celebration of the birth of the church. I need you all to understand that whenever we celebrate Pentecost, we are celebrating the church as we know it today, the church as we do church today, because it was born at Pentecost Acts, the second chapter, when the day of Pentecost had fully come.

Speaker 1:

They were all with one accord, y'all. The challenge of the church is to operate with one accord because we are different humans with different backgrounds and we all come with a accord, because we are different humans with different backgrounds and we all come with a accord, but the Lord is saying that we will experience miracles, signs and wonders like never before. We will experience prosperity as a body of believers as soon as we learn to operate with one accord. Peter didn't have an accord. Mary didn't have an accord. John didn't have an accord. Mary didn't have an accord. John didn't have an accord. Their accord was the one that God gave them. He had given them instructions to go. Ye, therefore teach all nations baptized in the name of the Father, son and the Holy Ghost. And he told them that they needed this to be able to operate. And they were there with one accord because they had been waiting on the Lord.

Speaker 1:

And I want to encourage somebody that it's all right to wait on the Lord. And as they had been waiting on the Lord because some of you all have been waiting on the Lord a long time I want to tell you there's always a blessing in waiting on God. I want to encourage somebody right now to hold on a little while longer and see what the end is going to be. The Bible says suddenly. Somebody say suddenly After your wait, I want to prophesy. There's about to be a suddenly. I'm not saying that we don't have a process, but I can speak prophetically to say that somebody's process is about to come to an end. Suddenly, see, people always want to talk about process, but they don't know how long you've been praying, they don't know how long you've been in the process. They don't know it's been years, they don't know it's been decades. They just don't know.

Speaker 1:

But the Lord said, declare suddenly yeah, I wish I had some people in the room that could get happy off of us. Suddenly I get my health back. Suddenly I get restored. Suddenly I get renewed. Suddenly I get the resources. Suddenly I get a place to live. Thank God for the suddenly.

Speaker 1:

Suddenly, there came a sound from heaven. How many times do I have to preach and remind the people that I serve that there is always a sound that precedes the move of God and I'm so grateful to have a church that believes in a sound. We don't believe in noise, we believe in a sound. Because I understand that God understands my moan. I understand that God understands my well. I understand that God understands my shout. I understand that God understands my cry. I understand that God understands my shout. I understand that God understands my cry. I understand that God understands my tears and suddenly, in the midst of all of that, there came a rushing wind and it filled the whole house.

Speaker 1:

Listen, it's important y'all that I get it. The building itself is not the church. The Bible teaches that we are the church, but you don't want to be in a building that is not filled with his power. You walking with me, watch here. When the spirit showed up, the first thing the spirit did was fill the house. You walking with me, I'm in the Bible, I'm in the Bible. There's something powerful that can happen for you when the spirit fills the house. As a matter of fact, some of you all need to go home and pray that the Lord fills your house. I'm so glad I'm transparent with y'all and I'm so glad we're growing together, and I'm going to say something that some of y'all won't receive. You're going to laugh, but you ain't going to receive it. It's so important that our houses be filled. We can't bring everything in the house this season. Man, y'all know me. I'm just about as real and honest as they come. I didn't watch everything and did some everything, but I'm in a new season in life right now y'all walking with me. Man ain't no better than nobody. I'm just who God called me to be, but I just want his glory and I need his power.

Speaker 1:

See, my assignment sometimes called me to have to go and pray for people when they, when they when they, lost a loved one or or they're about to lose a loved one. My assignment sometimes called me to have to go and pray for people when they lost a loved one or they're about to lose a loved one. My assignment has had called me to show up on scenes where people have been shot. My assignment has called me to show up on a scene one time where there was a gas leak off of Sugar Creek Road many years ago. Elder Jamal, I don't know if you was there then or not. I know Dick and Kim was there. Me and Dr Lynch had to go because the house got blown up because of a gas leak when they lit the pilot and a baby got blown across the street. What do you tell this mother whose baby just got killed in what was supposed to be the blessing of her first home?

Speaker 1:

So my assignment has me operating different and I love to be silly, listen, listen. I love to be ratchet like everybody else sometimes. I like ratchet tv, I like ratchet music sometimes too, but the reality of it is I'm in a new season and it ain't about broadcasting. I don't listen to that no more, as if I'm better and I really sometimes want to, but what God is doing in my life right now. I got to be careful about what I bring in the house and that's what I'm trying to tell some of y'all. Man real talk. Can I just be real with you? On Pentecost Sunday, y'all, we can't watch everything that everybody else watch on Netflix. We can't watch everything everybody else watching on the gram. We cannot do it because the enemy is looking for a way to get in your house and you thought it was just a funny TV show, but you done let that demonic in your house.

Speaker 2:

You done. Let that stuff real wives or whatever in your house. Now I wonder why your wife acting crazy. It came from the TV and you ain't even know it.

Speaker 1:

I ain't trying to be all extra today. I'm just trying to tell you for the assignment on your life. You gotta be careful about what you letting in the house, because if you really want this power, the power ain't trying to fight with the demons that you keep inviting in the house. The power is saying choose ye this thing.

Speaker 2:

Is your power going to come from ratchetness on TV?

Speaker 1:

Or is your power going to come from being disciplined enough to stay away from some of this stuff? And the reality of it is that many of you will go home and you'll elect to go and get your power from the ground. You'll elect to go get your power from social media. But I'm here to tell you, if you want God to move, we got to set an atmosphere. Yeah, we got to set an atmosphere and y'all know what happened. If you set an atmosphere. Yeah, we got to set an atmosphere, and y'all know what will happen if you set an atmosphere at your house. When you get to his house, we ain't got to poke you, we ain't got to prod you. You get out the parking lot and start picking up and putting them down. Ain't no music, because game recognize game. And if the spirit is right at your house when you get right here, that when the atmosphere is being set, that's how we set ourselves up for miracles. That's how we set ourselves up for getting people get up out of a wheelchair one day. That ain't that, that's a. That's a. That's a deeper level, and I'm trying to see some people get healed. That ain't that, that's a. That's a. That's a deeper level and I'm trying to see some people get healed. I've seen god heal some people, that cancer in this place. I've seen it with my own eyes.

Speaker 1:

But the lord said I want to do so much more. He said but it's about the people and in the bible they prayed that the lord. And suddenly somebody say suddenly the Spirit filled the whole house where they were sitting. Did y'all hear what I said? I'm in the Bible. The house got filled first. That's why I asked our clergy I'm thankful for those that were obedient and all of that one. You got to do better, because we're going somewhere else and we're going to beg you to do nothing. You're a replacement sitting over here. I ain't going to keep talking family Because there's too many lives on the line. Amen, somebody Tell them again. Say you got to get right. Oh, don't tell them. You got to hold your leadership accountable If the pastor said come and pray early, you should be here to pray early. You got to hold your own leadership accountable. If I'm going to be held accountable, because I saw something in this text that made me send them out. I saw in the text that the miracle started when the house was filled. So I said y'all gotta show up and pray that the house get filled, cause somebody's life is on the line today. Somebody may be suicidal today, but I'm so thankful for the ones that showed up to pray. And when they showed up to pray, watch what happens. When the spirit came into the house where they were sitting. Good god, almighty, uh, somebody say where I'm sitting.

Speaker 1:

Do you not realize that there's enough power in this house for every seat that's in this room? There's enough power in this house. There's enough holy ghost in this house for every seat that's in the room. It's so much holy ghost in here that you don't have to be jealous of my Holy Ghost. There's so much Holy Ghost in here that you don't have to be ashamed of what I can do. That may be better than what you can do, because you can do something better than I can do, because when the Spirit shows up, he touches every seat. You ought to be able to say God, touch my seat. Somebody say touch shows up, he touches every seat. You ought to be able to say to God, touch my seat. Somebody say touch, you ought to pray. Y'all just put your hand right down on your seat and say Lord, settle here. So I say somebody say, settle here because we're getting ready.

Speaker 1:

He, he's in the house. You see the progressive nature of the Holy Spirit. He starts in the house, thank you Lord. And and then he moves to the seat. Yeah, thank you Lord. So, and then, after he moves to the seat, then there appear to be divided tongues as of fire, and one set upon each of them.

Speaker 1:

I told you there's enough Holy Ghost for everybody in the room, and the Bible says they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. The Spirit, when he falls upon you, he is going to give you gifts that's going to help you to accomplish the assignment that's ahead of you. They were at this Pentecost festival, and the festival was filled with people that spoke various languages. And God's mandate and his goal was to be able to share the gospel with Lottie, dottie and everybody. And so when the spirit came, he said not only am I going to empower you, I'm going to empower you to instantly be able to be a blessing to somebody else in a supernatural way. Ah, yes, I thank god for the gifts of tongues.

Speaker 1:

I believe god for the gifts of tongues, but I also want to remind you that when the spirit falls upon you, uh, if you desire that gift, praise god, but for others it may manifest in a different way, but when the spirit upon you, there will always be evidence in your ability to help somebody else. Yeah, I can run, I can leap, but can I help somebody? If I got the Spirit who falls upon me? Suddenly I can't think about myself anymore. Suddenly it can't be all about me. When the Spirit of the Lord falls upon you, 300 people show up to a mission blitz. When the spirit of the Lord falls upon you, suddenly you reach out to people that hurt you, because God is saying that you are greater and there's a great assignment on your life. And I've been waiting on you. That's why I kept you for this moment. It's because it's now your time to give god. Uh, yes, men and women of god.

Speaker 1:

Pentecost celebration of the birth of the church. They were with one accord in one room and the spirit fell on them individually and gave them supernatural gifts. I'm telling you today, before you leave, that some of you will leave here with supernatural gifts. I am not lying. I declare this in Jesus' name. In Jesus' name, and don't be afraid, we didn't make stuff spooky. That shouldn't be spooky. You ain't gonna have no wings, just pop out your back and fly up to the ceiling or nothing like that. But you'll have some deeper understanding. We call that discernment. You'll hear things that God has declared for somebody else's life and we call that being prophetic. God is saying before you leave here today, not tomorrow I wish I had some people that say I'm going to leave here today and God is going to give me a fresh gift for the assignment that's ahead. Too many times I come to church asking for money, but sometimes I need to ask for a manifestation of a fresh gift and if I work and operate in a fresh gift newsflash.

Speaker 2:

The money will come.

Speaker 1:

Anyway, pentecost is also the reminder that God loves all people. There's a teaching in Pentecost that is very interesting Pentecost 50 days after Passover, and for our Jewish sisters and brothers, who still celebrate a variety of different festivals, pentecost is known as the festival of weeks, like a calendar week, w-e-e-k-s seven weeks after Passover. These seven weeks after Passover, they were given some instructions, just like they were given for every festival that they had, but there is something unique about this one that shows us that God loves all people. In Leviticus, the 23rd chapter, verse 17, the Lord says you shall bring from your dwellings to wave, wave loads, two tenths of an ephah. They shall be a fine flour. They shall be baked with leaven. They are the first fruits to the Lord. Now, this is interesting because you got to understand that most of the festivals uh that were celebrated, that consisted of bread, consisted of unleavened bread. And there were two reasons that the festivals consisted of unleavened bread, the first one being is that when the people of god, the jews, the israelites were, were in uh egyptian captivity and god freed them when he told them tomorrow is going to be your day of that you leave in here, they didn't have time to make a thanksgiving dinner. Any bakers in the room that know anything about bread leavened yeast it take a little bit of time unless you buy that stuff out the store. But if you're an old school cook, if you don't microwave your jiffy corn bread, you know some good cooking takes some time. So they didn't have time to make the ingredients to that would have took hours, and so they had to make unleavened bread because they were quickly moving out.

Speaker 1:

I want to talk to somebody right now that the Lord is saying this to you. He's about to open the door, he's about to deliver you, but you're going to have to move quickly. Hear this carefully, he said and you know who I'm talking to. I wish you was bold enough to stand up when I said so. They'll know that this is the word of the Lord. This ain't the first time he delivered you, but the last time your feet was too slow.

Speaker 1:

He provided an opportunity for you before, but you overanalyzed. He provided an opportunity before you walked in fear. So he said I'm about to do it again, but this time move quickly. I know I'm talking to somebody out in the room, more than one, yep. He said this time move quickly, I'm gonna give you another chance to move quickly. And so to remember the move of God. They would always have festivals with unleavened bread to be reminded how they had to move hastily and quickly when God was bringing them out. Can I say it again when God moves you out of something, move quickly. When he opens the door for you to come out of that bad situation, move quickly. The Lord said don't you analyze another day? I wonder, should I give them another chance? Don't you analyze another day about?

Speaker 1:

well, maybe, just maybe, if I, the Lord, said, move quickly, quickly, quickly quickly, quickly, quickly quickly quickly, quickly, so they will remember that time when God they move quickly and in their ceremonies they would have unleavened bread. But in this text, on this festival of Pentecost, 50 days after Passover, this festival also known as the festival of weeks, look at what God told him to do. That was different. He said for this festival you should bring two loaves of bread, but they are bread with leaven in them. There was a second part of leaven that we got to understand, understand Pentecost. The second part of leaven is is that leaven is considered sometimes unclean because Jesus and Paul and others would talk about leaven and say it just takes a little bit of leaven to mess up the whole lump. Talking about a little bit of sin. All it takes is a little bit of sin. Can I talk to somebody in the room? All it takes is to scroll to the wrong thing just a little bit, for a little bit too long, and your head messed up for the rest of the day. All it takes is a little bit, for a little bit too long, and your hair messed up for the rest of the day. All it takes is a little bit of sin. All it takes is a smoke, just a little bit too much and the wrong is just a little bit of sin, a little bit of leaven messed up the whole lot. So leaven was considered to be unclean. So now you got this situation where you got these two loaves with a substance that's considered to be unclean and the Lord says on the festival of the weeks, on the festival of Pentecost, wave these two loaves before me.

Speaker 1:

So Acts the second chapter. Everybody was gathered because it was the festival of weeks. Come here, elder Jamal, and they had to grab. They had part of the festival. There were two loaves on duty and what God was saying is that I had been telling y'all the whole time that I was up to something, but y'all missed the memo. God didn't reveal it to them then, but we really understand it now that the power of the two loaves at Pentecost was a reminder that God loves everybody, even when we got a little bit of leaven on the inside. Yeah, shout out to the people that came to church that got a little bit of leaven on the inside. Oh, don't get cute now. Don't let me go scroll down your timeline. I can find some leaven somewhere.

Speaker 1:

But it wasn't one loaf, it was two loaves, and they said one of the loaves represented God's love for the Jews, and the other loave represented God's love for the Gentiles. And for those that don't know, a Gentile is everybody in the world that's not a Jew. So what the Lord was saying? Even back then, they didn't catch it. They thought that they was the only ones that God loved. But he said I always told y'all that there were two loaves. I always was trying to show you that I love the Jews because of the promise that I made to their ancestor, abraham. But I got a plan for the Gentiles as well, and you ought to be excited to be reminded that God got a plan for the Gentiles as well, and you ought to be excited to be reminded that God has a plan for you, regardless of where you come from.

Speaker 1:

Now, if you know anything about sacrifice, you know that a sacrifice is something that is usually burned or offered to God as a burnt offering. So in the Old Testament, you want to talk, make an offering to god. You would have to put it in the fire so it could be burned and knowing the aroma would go up to heaven. But that was something unusual about the offering at pentecost. There was something unusual about what was going on on the festival of weeks. He told them, instead of burning the offering, help me, holy Ghost he said I need you to take these loaves and I need you to wave them before me. Go ahead and wave them, elder. Wave them like you love the Lord. Now I said hold up God, instead of burning these and these are. What's crazy is if there was any bread that deserved to be burned, it is the bread that you call unclean. But instead of burning the unclean bread, you told the priest to wave the bread before you and you said that's right, because what I was trying to show the people that, in spite of what's inside of them, in spite of the sins of them, in spite of the sins of the Jews, in spite of the sins of the Gentiles, they are still my chosen. In spite of the mess-ups that they've had, I have a plan for their life. I'm going to give them a hope. I'm about to give them a future. Now I need them to wave before me, because them being waved before me shows that they are precious to me. I could have killed them, but instead I picked them up, and I need to talk to some people in the room that got a little leaven on the inside.

Speaker 1:

God is saying on Pentecost Sunday, why don't you give him a wave offering? Give him a wave offering of you. Yeah, give him a wave offering. Wave yourself before the Lord, because he knows what's inside of you. But he elected you anyway. That ought to make you feel good, that he knows what's inside of you. But he chose you anyway. He saw the best in me when everyone else could only see the worst in me. And for this, god, I'm going to give you a wave, alfred. If I couldn't say a word, I'll just wave my hand. But on Pentecost Sunday, maybe my hand ain't enough. Sometimes I got to get my whole body into it Because you don't know what he's done for me.

Speaker 2:

He gave me the victory. I love him. I love him. I really love the Lord. I wish I could get about 25 more people to present your body as a living sacrifice. God, I wave my body before you. I wave my children before you. I wave my children before you. I wave my business before you. I wave it before you, lord. Thank you, lord, for seeing something in me.

Speaker 1:

I don't have to seek validation from people, because you see in me what nobody else can see, and this man and woman of God is Pentecost and the Lord says because, hey, hey, because I have renewed you and because I kept my promise, and because I kept my promise and because I'm reminding you daily how much I love you, because this is the birth of the church as we know it today, this is what the Lord is saying to us. Chosen City. Pentecost is now a clarion call for every person to move forward in purpose. Pentecost is a clarion call. A clarion call is like an urgent yell from your belly, from your squeal. It's urgent. Most of the time we come to church, we talk about sending a sound to heaven, as we should, but what I'm going to tell you on Pentecost is the Lord is sending a sound to us.

Speaker 1:

He said do y'all not see what's going on around you? Do you not see what's going on in your own government? Do you not see what's going on in places like Ukraine and Russia? Do you not see what's going on in your own family? He said do you not see it? Do you not see it? Do you just stick your head in the sand? Do you just scroll by, do you not? Do you not see that? The children that are being lost on a daily basis? He said do you not see it? Do you not see it that we're burying children, younger and younger? For? Do you not see what's going on? Do you not see it? Are you going to stick your head in your purpose and move forward in the work that I have called you to do? And that brings us right to Acts, the second chapter, which is interesting because Peter helps us understand what it looks like when there is a clarion call that requires us to move forward in purpose.

Speaker 1:

Peter was an interesting individual. He was an individual that had a calling on his life, but he didn't have the character to match. And I want to talk to some of y'all in the room and say you have a calling, but do you necessarily have the character? The character when the Holy Spirit comes upon you and feels you, you get the character, the character when the Holy Spirit comes upon you and feels you, you get the character to match the call, the character that'll have you walking in integrity when nobody's looking, the intact, the character that'll give you discipline to do what God has called you to do and stay away from stuff that will kill you. The issue is not the fact that you are not called. The problem is your character. Yeah, I want to talk to character. The Lord is saying he's trying to start to move forward from these character flaws that are impacting the great call that's on your life. Can you receive that from me today? Can you receive that? You call, but you got a character problem. I ain't talking about your neighbor because some of y'all keep trying to get him. I ain't trying to get him, I'm trying to get you. I'm trying to get you. I want all the smoke today. You got to deal with your character because I had to deal with my character and if you called and you ain't got no character, you're going to crash. If you're called and you don't have character, you will crash.

Speaker 1:

Y'all remember an individual by the name of David. He was called at a young age but when he got anointed to be king he didn't have a character to match. That's why he went and got a wife that wasn't his, because he didn't have a character to match. And I want to talk to the people in the room your calling ain't got nothing to do with your character. Matter of fact, I'd rather have some character and not have a calling, but some of y'all chasing titles so bad, but ain't got no kind of character. And the Lord is saying on Pentecost Sunday I want to deal with your character.

Speaker 1:

The Bible has a word for character. You know what it's called when the Holy Spirit comes upon us. That's the fruit of the Spirit. The fruit of the Spirit is character, because the fruit of the Spirit helps us to embrace these things found in Galatians, chapter 5. The fruit of the Spirit is what Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Can I run it back? When the Holy Spirit is upon me, don't talk Again. I embrace all the gifts. I'm looking forward to God releasing a fresh tongue on some people today in Jesus' name. But Paul made it clear that's a gift, but it's the least of the things that you need to be worried about.

Speaker 1:

Don't be talking to me in tongues if you don't know how to love. Don't be talking to me in tongues if you don't have joy. Don't be talking to me in tongues if you ain't a peaceful person. Don't be talking to me in tongues if you patient. Don't be talking to me in tongues if you ain't kind. Don't don't. No, no, no, no, no.

Speaker 1:

Don't be talking to me of a leader if you ain't got self-control. I got some leaders who ain't got no self-control. I talk to them privately before I talk to them publicly. Don't worry about it. They know how I get down. I love them and they love me.

Speaker 1:

But God is taking us somewhere as a people and if they ain't got no self-control, time is filled with swift transition Because we going somewhere. Somebody say we going somewhere, and I'm trying to help you too. If you ain't got no self-control, you're going to impact what God is trying to do in your life. God is trying to take your career to places you ain't never seen. He is literally trying to put you in a place you ain't never been. But if you ain't got no self-control, you're going to mess the whole doggone thing up. The Lord is saying you got to have some character, you got to have some fruit. And that's what Peter's problem was. He had a flawed character. We notice he was called but he had a character problem.

Speaker 1:

He showed up early. They used to say that Peter was the bully on the fisherman's pier. If he came up, he came out. That was Peter. Peter was like that cousin that you want to call if he's about to go down. You know that one.

Speaker 1:

But Peter was inquisitive. He one of the early times we see Peter Jesus. They're out on the boat and they see a figure walking and they get afraid because they think it's a ghost, as would I. You imagine being on Lake Wiley at night and somebody walking towards you. That's a bad moment, that's a bad moment. And he said hold on, it's me, it's Jesus, it's me. He said, lord, if it's you, let me walk out to you and shout out to Peter for getting out of the boat.

Speaker 1:

I want to talk to some of y'all in the room that's bold enough to get out of the boat. I celebrate the fact that you're getting out of the boat and we have preached a lot of sermons about getting out of the boat, haven't we? Because there are many people that are afraid to get out of the boat. It takes getting out of the boat to launch a business. It takes getting out of a boat to try love again. It takes getting out of a boat to break a barrier and we talk a little bit about breaking or getting out of the boat. But here's the problem. I'm not sure we talk enough about the character flaw that almost sunk him. You see, he got out of the boat real good. Shout out to him for getting out of the boat, because the rest of them were like good luck with that dog. We're praying for you in Jesus' name. He got out of the boat and he started walking on the water. But y'all know well, some of y'all know what happened. Y'all help the rest of them know what happened.

Speaker 1:

Next. He took his eyes off of Jesus. You thought the reason you was having problems in your relationship was because of the waves. You thought you was having problems your business because of the storm on the sea, but the reality is, the problem that some of us are having is because we've taken our eyes off the main thing. We stopped putting Christ at the center of everything that we do. And in this season of life, if you are bold enough to get off the boat, but your character won't allow you to have discipline enough to keep your eyes on Jesus, it's just a matter of time before you sink in the waves, and I'm so glad, though, when we sink, that God will rescue us and meet us right where we are. But his character flaw showed up. His character flaw showed up again later, when Jesus was getting. And I'm so glad, though, when we think that God will rescue us and meet us right where we are. But his character flaw showed up. His character flaw showed up again later, when Jesus was getting closer to laying down his life and dying for the sins of the world. He said it's time for me to go back to Jerusalem and they're going to kill me.

Speaker 1:

And the Bible says y'all check this out. The Bible says that Peter rebuked Jesus. I'm gonna run that one back one more time. Peter rebuked Jesus, isn't that crazy? Peter went to Jesus and said Jesus, have you lost your mind? We are not going to do anything that you said, because it don't make no type of sense, and I'm so glad that Jesus didn't hold it against him. Jesus started talking to the demon that was in Peter and the character flaw. I'm not sure, was it the fact that Peter said it or was it the fact that Peter allowed a demon to influence him? And before you get on Peter's case, how many times this week did you rebuke Jesus? Because every time he gave you an unction to do something and you didn't do it, congratulations. You just rebuked Jesus and God is saying there's a calling on your life, but your character keeps rebuking me. Your character keeps you doing whatever you want to do, because you just said that's just how I am, that is what it is, but your character is going to sink you if you're not careful. That was a character flaw in Peter's life.

Speaker 1:

He goes a little bit further and it's at the point where Jesus is about to be arrested and Peter, being that dude, said Jesus, when they come arrest you, I promise you I'm going to ride with you. I'm your ride or die. They pull up on you, they pull up on me. They crucify you. They got to crucify me. They arrest you. I'm a mop. I'm a mop. The courtroom with the deputy, whatever it's, whatever Jesus. And Jesus looked at him and said Peter, on this day you're going to deny me three times. And Peter said Lord, I love you too much to never to deny you. I know I'm a little crazy, but I never deny it.

Speaker 1:

The day goes forward, jesus is arrested and Peter sees firsthand what Jesus was going to have to go through. They beat him to the point that he he could have died in that moment. They they use a whip with with bone shards to to to scrape the skin off of his back. They would ultimately put thorns in his skull. They would ultimately put a piercing and pierce him in his side with a spear. The stress of the situation was so bad they said that Jesus was sweating until blood started to run. And when Jesus saw everything that he was going through and it looked as if Jesus was helpless, the people started looking for everybody that was a follower of Jesus. And somebody said hey, that dude right there, aren't you one of his followers? And he said nah, I don't know that brother. He going through a lot though I don't know him. But you know what happened to Peter. Unfortunately, it was some women that was on the case.

Speaker 1:

Y'all ever watch First 48? If it's a woman detective, it's going to be over quick Because you know the ladies. Y'all don't give up. Y'all just don't give up. Y'all don't give up. Don't give up. See the ladies get together and say hey, weren't you with him? We remember that cologne you had on. We remember them dirty sandals you had on, because you didn't even have no manicure W, weren't you with him? And he said no, I told y'all, I don't know the man, but just like ladies, they don't give up. They got receipts. So they show up with a bigger crowd and they look at him again.

Speaker 1:

He said now my girl, she was sitting over there when you was at the fish fry. Now my girl, she was sitting over there when you was at the fish fry. And my other girl, she was there when you was cheering him on, when he opened that blind man's eye. So we know that you was there. And he said oh y'all crazy. I told y'all I don't know this man.

Speaker 1:

And just like Jesus prophesied, he said Peter, you're going to deny me three times on this day, before the cock crows. And on that third denial he heard the crow or the rooster and he made eye contact with Jesus and it was like Jesus was like man. The one time I needed you, the one time I needed you, peter, the one time I needed you, man, you weren't there. And the Bible says he ran away and wept bitterly. Oh my God, that's what I'm trying to get to right here. There are some of you, all in the room, had your own Peter moment where you've done some things in your past. You've not given God a complete yes in alignment of what he would have for you to do and you carry it every day. Peter ran away and he, he wept bitterly.

Speaker 1:

But god, somebody said but god, god doesn't give up on us because god has a, a plan for us. He doesn't. He doesn't give up on us, he has a, he has a plan for us. And jesus would go home or go ahead without peter and defeat the grave without Peter and rise from the grave without Peter and show himself to Mary and Martha and enter in the upper rooms and he started to talk an interesting talk. He said go tell my disciples and Peter, did you hear what he said? When he came back after he defeated the grave and was showing himself to the world? He said go tell my disciples and Peter that's what I feel the Lord saying is they go, go, go tell the chosen city and you that means he knows you by name, you're just not a number that I got a plan.

Speaker 1:

And so Peter missed the message because Peter was rolling, wallowing in self-pity. I come against self-pity right now, in Jesus name, and say you, wallowing in self-pity, I come against self-pity right now, in Jesus' name. He said you can't have self-pity, god ain't done with you. Yet Peter is wallowing in self-pity and he goes back to the only thing that he knew and that was fishing. So he goes back fishing and he's fishing and he's having a dry fishing night. He's not catching anything again. And he's out there fishing and there's a man that's on the beach hey, hey, hey, buddy, hey, old boy, how's it going out there? And he said man, we ain't catching nothing.

Speaker 1:

He said my life is, I imagine. Can you imagine me and Peter? You need to deny the only person in your life that love you? You know, went back to your old job. I'm prophesying to somebody you know went back to your old job and you went back there. It is about as bad as it was.

Speaker 1:

You remember why you left in the first place? Amen, somebody. You remember why you left that relationship in the first place? Now, I know I'm preaching today, I know, know I am. You're like man, I boy. I mean I thought going back, I ain't having anything going ahead, but I'm gonna go back.

Speaker 1:

And then you get back and you remember why you left in the first place. Yup, hey, we all been there, we family, we all been there. We might as well be honest about it, but the Lord had this ability to meet us right where we are, to get us where we wanna be. He said how about you catch your net on the other side. He catched his net on the other side and suddenly he pulls up more fish than he could ever handle. But then he has a Holy Ghost flashback between night and nothing. When he met Jesus the first time, he was fishing and couldn't catch nothing. The first time when a man from Galilee said why don't you try catching your net on the other side.

Speaker 1:

So he had a flashback and that's my prayer right now that the Holy Spirit will give some of y'all a flashback and God will let you have an encounter with him that will take you back. Yeah, take them back. Take them back, dear Lord, to the place where they first received. Take them back, dear Lord, to the place where they first believed. Yeah, sometimes we got to go back just to be able to go forward. Peter has a flashback. The flashback is so strong that he ain't worried about the money anymore. He drops all of the fish, can't even wait for him to turn the boat around. He jumps out of the boat and he swims to the shore because he knew that that was God, his Savior. He knew that was the love of his soul and he knew that.

Speaker 1:

God was about to give him another chance. I don't want to talk to somebody and say stop worrying about the bag and swim to your God. Stop worrying about the bag and swim to your God. He gets to him and he wants to explain why he ran. He gets to him, he wants to apologize for his transgressions, but before he can open his mouth and start talking about it, jesus doesn't even go into it. He said, peter, if you love me, feed my sheep. Yes, sir, but let me tell you about what happened. I don't want to talk about that. Peter, if you love me, feed my lamb. Yes, lord, I'll feed your sheep. I'll feed your lamb, but please, lord, let me. Peter, I really don't care about what happened. If you love me, feed my lamb. I feel the Holy Ghost. Oh, there are some of y'all in here right now.

Speaker 1:

The Lord has said stop reciting the facts. He said stop reciting the facts, stop trying to explain it, stop going back and forth in your head. He said if you love me, just focus on the assignment, focus on four. You know why? Because it's time for you to move forward. That's what he said, peter. Um, you, you spent too much time going around whether or not you could have been a better parent. Uh, you spent too much time whether or not you could have been a better husband. Too much time where you could have been a better spouse. Too much time wondering you could have been a better pastor. The Lord has said you've been going around and around you, you've been where you are long enough. If you love me, get on your job and do what I've called you to do. I want to tell somebody in the room God has said I don't care. The Lord has said I don't care. It's not that he is not a God. That's against sin. I'm not preaching that. I'm saying that he's faithful and just to forgive all sins and cleanse us from unrighteousness. So he does not care because your sins have been removed from you as far as the east is from the west, because there's a job for you to do. That was a job. Somebody said it was a job for me to do, so I said okay, peter, now I'm about to put you in the game.

Speaker 1:

But just because you have this calling on your life, it does not always mean that you are equipped for the task that's ahead. Can I talk to some of y'all in the room? The Lord is calling you now, but you may not be equipped for the task that's ahead. The Lord has shown you a vision about what's going to be, but you are not equipped for the task that's ahead. It's a real vision, it's going to come to pass, but we came on Pentecost Sunday because you need some equipment. Yeah, that's why we're here on Pentecost Sunday you need some equipment. He told him now, listen, you know what you're about to do. I call you, go. Ye, therefore teach all nations baptized in the name of the father, son and the holy ghost that's Matthew in the book of Acts. He told him, uh, to go and make witness disciples in Jerusalem, judea and the ends of the earth. He said you got a call, but you don't have the equipment yet. He? He said this is what I need you to do.

Speaker 1:

The 40th day after resurrection came is the day that Jesus ascended back to heaven. He said I'm leaving. You know your assignment and I pray in the spirit that none of you leave here today without knowing your assignment. The Holy Spirit, if you want to know your assignment, the Holy Spirit is going to show you your assignment in Jesus name. You just got to be willing to do it. He gives them the assignment. He says I'm leaving you now. He said but I need to do something. I need to wait right here to you, where you are, until the gift shows up. I need you to wait right here, where you are, until the comforter shows up. I need you to wait right here, where you are, until you get the power. There's a business on in the room that you do, you're doing well and you will succeed, but you're missing one piece of equipment. It ain't another laptop, it ain't a calculator, it ain't the right secretary. You need this power. He says sometimes we can, we move ahead of the power before we get the power. But Pentecost has come that we ain't going to leave here without the power. So he power, but Pentecost has come that we ain't gonna leave here without the power. So he says I need you to wait right here, uh, and wait on this power and you'll be able to do exceedingly and abundantly 40 days. He leaves. Now.

Speaker 1:

Jewish brothers and sisters, um, being familiar with numerology, they see patterns in the bible, so perhaps they would have thought that, okay, three days later, which would have been 43 days after the resurrection, but three days after he left, since god rose on the third day. Perhaps they would have been like lord on the third day. This is the day that we are going to, uh, get the gift that he promised. And the third day came, family, and they didn't get no power and they got no promise. That's some of you all right now having a third day experience in the spirit.

Speaker 1:

You've been waiting on something that you heard prophesied. You've been waiting on something that you heard read. You've been waiting on something that you heard preached and you're getting frustrated because it hadn't happened yet. Well, you, you do. You mad, but you still holding on because it was a. It's just a third day.

Speaker 1:

But what happens when God doubles your weight and now it's gone from three days to seven days? Yeah, I want to talk to some people in the room that say, okay, it's the seventh day now. I know new biblical numerology seven is the number of what? Family? The number of completion. So surely God is going to complete the promise on the seventh day and you getting excited. You said, pull up, it's going to be a cookout and everything, because we walk by faith and not by sight, and surely God is going to keep his promise. We've been waiting in this room for seven days and surely God is going to keep his promise. And that seventh day comes and God still is yet to move.

Speaker 1:

What do you do when you're in that seventh day season? Well, you've been waiting on God to heal. You've been waiting on God to restore. You've been waiting on God to restore. You've been waiting on God to turn around and it still hadn't happened yet. You ain't seen no gift. You ain't seen no power, you ain't seen no move. And you, in this room, with about 120 people, and every last one of y'all saw Jesus and you know he is who he is, but it hadn't happened yet. Family, what do you do? What do you do? What do you do when you're waiting on God? You're praying and you're crying. You're crying and you're praying, you're fasting, you're reading your word, you're doing everything that you know how to do, and it still hadn't happened yet. What do you do when you're waiting on God and it seems as if God has gone silent? Well, I learned something from the 120 people in that room. I learned something that was so powerful for me. I learned I learned, I learned.

Speaker 2:

Y'all know what I learned.

Speaker 1:

I learned that when I'm in a season Pastor Young, you got to move your stuff because I need some help. I learned that when I'm in a season and I'm waiting on God, the only way that I'm going to make it is if I ain't waiting all by myself. Come here, man of God. You look like you know Jesus. I hope you do. I need some help. Sit right here, man of God. I need some people in my life when I'm waiting on God that understand my weight, because they in the weight with me.

Speaker 1:

You see, it wasn't just Peter in the room waiting. The Bible says there was at least another 119 in there waiting, and he was surrounded by people that had expectations. And the problem is that some of y'all have got tired of waiting. It's not because you're tired of waiting, it's that you're surrounded by people that don't have any expectations. But I'm so glad today. I hear Elder Mason behind me. I hear Dr Cole on the other side.

Speaker 1:

I'm so glad today that if I get tired of waiting, I'm surrounded by a cloud of witnesses that don't mind waiting with me. And if I get tired of praying, I'm glad I got some people around me that'll pray when I can't pray. I got some people around me that'll praise when I can't pray. I got some people around me that'll praise when I can't praise. I wonder if you got anybody on your row that love God like you love God and they waiting on something for God too. You ought to put your arm around them and say do you mind if we wait on the Lord together? Do you mind praying when I can't pray?

Speaker 2:

Do you mind waving your hand when I can't wave? Do you mind trusting God when I run?

Speaker 1:

out of trust, Because sometimes in the wait I get a little bit weary.

Speaker 2:

Sometimes in the wait I feel like giving up. On the 48th day I'm so glad I'm surrounded by people that'll keep me on my knees.

Speaker 1:

Did you hear what I said when you're?

Speaker 2:

waiting on God.

Speaker 1:

You got to be surrounded by people that'll keep you on your knees and make sure you don't get to your feet. Oh, I know that sounds backwards, but I'm going to say it again when you are in a waiting season, you got to be surrounded by people that'll keep you on your knees and make sure you don't get to your feet. I'm going to say it one more time when you are in a waiting season, you got to surround yourself with people that'll keep you on your knees to make sure you don't get to your feet, because if you ever get to your feet, you might run away from the blessing that's on the way. If you get to your feet, you might run away from the blessing that's on the way. If you get to your feet, you might run away from the promise that God has for your life.

Speaker 1:

That's why, if you are in the wait, my challenge to you today is to get on bended knee and keep on praying, because there's some people in the room. You are in a 48-day experience, but I'm here to prophesy that the 50th day is coming.

Speaker 2:

Did you hear what I just said? You've been in a spiritual posture. You've been waiting on God a long time.

Speaker 1:

You've been waiting on a transformation a long time.

Speaker 2:

But I'm here to prophesy that you are in a 48 day experience, but the 50th day is coming, good God, almighty. The enemy knows that you're two spiritual days away from your life changing. The enemy knows you are two spiritual days away from the business being profitable. The enemy knows you are two spiritual days away from your marriage getting better. The enemy knows you are two spiritual days away for your young adult child to come back to the Lord. Somebody say I'm two days away, good God, almighty.

Speaker 2:

And so they continue to pray with no end in sight, because sometimes I gotta pray and I don't have an end in sight. Sometimes I got to pray and I don't have an end in sight. Sometimes I got to pray and the answer has been no at the bank. Sometimes I got to pray and they've already turned down the application I wish I had some help in here Is there anybody that knows that you got to pray Because you're just two spiritual days away from a breakthrough.

Speaker 2:

And then day 49 shows up. They don't know, but they are closer than they feared. They don't know, but the enemy knows, and so he ratchets up the attack. Perhaps the people in the room get to the point where they're getting tired of one another. They get to the point where they want to leave the place of promise. I want to talk to some of y'all in the room. Don't go weary in well-doing, because in due season you're about to reap a harvest. If you faint, not so on day 49,. I feel that in the spirit there's been a shift for some of y'all, and you are day 49 now.

Speaker 1:

That means you are closer than you ever been. Did you hear what the preacher said?

Speaker 2:

You are day 49 now and the enemy knows you're less than 24 hours away. And the enemy knows you're less than 24 hours away. The enemy knows you're less than 24 hours away and he's going to throw everything he can at you right now. That's why somebody got sick, that's why somebody got laid off, because the enemy knows you're less than 24 hours away from your miracle and breakthrough. Good God, almighty, I need some people that's going to stand with me when I'm that close to a blessing, when I'm that close to a breakthrough. Will you stand with me? You ought to turn to your neighbor and say will you stand with me? Turn to your neighbor and say will you stand with me? Turn to your neighbor and say will you stand with me? I'm closer than I ever been. Will you stand with me? Don't give up on me yet. Will you stand with me? Will you stand with me? I ain't got there yet, but will you stand with me? I'm on my way. I need you to stand with me. You ought to turn to somebody and say need you to stand with me? You ought to turn to somebody. They say will you stand with me? I'm almost there, don't give up on me. Will you stand with me Because my 50th day is coming.

Speaker 2:

Tell somebody my 50th day. Help me, holy Ghost, stand with me a little longer. Don't give up on me now. I know God's going to keep his promise. Stand with me a little longer. Don't give up on me now. I know God's going to keep his promise. Stand with me a little longer. Good God, almighty. I'm so glad the 119, they stood with Peter. Hey Lord, I thank God, I feel it in the spirit. Somebody is standing with you. You are not by by yourself. Somebody, bring my wife up here, help me hold it. We ain't got there yet, but she gonna stand with me. You ought to grab somebody and say stand with me. I don't know what it look like, but if you stand with me, Hold my hand.

Speaker 2:

We almost there Tell somebody If you hold my hand, we, we're almost there. Tell somebody If you hold my hand, we'll get there together.

Speaker 3:

Help me, holy Ghost, I see the Lord. It was on the 50th day.

Speaker 2:

It was in the room and then, when the petticoat was fully cut, here comes the glory of the Lord and he swept through the room and the Holy Ghost fell and showered down. I said the Holy Ghost fell and showered down. I said the Holy Ghost fell and showered down. I said the Holy Ghost fell and showered down. I said the Holy Ghost fell and showered down. I said the Holy Ghost fell and showered down, shower down. And everybody, I mean everybody, everybody in the room, everybody in the room, everybody in the room, everybody in the room was filled with the glory, everybody in the room, everybody in the room, everybody in the room, everybody in the room everybody in the room was filled with the glory.

Speaker 1:

Everybody in the room, everybody in the room was filled with the glory and the Lord is saying I want to fill every soul in the room. And the Lord is saying I want to fill every soul in the room. I want to fill every soul in the room because it's time for you to move forward. The Lord said you're no different than Peter. I birthed you for a reason and it's time for you to do what God has called you to do. Everybody in the room it's time for you to do what God has called you to do. Everybody in the room it's time to stop playing around and fully surrender to the Lord. Everybody in the room, everybody in the room.

Speaker 1:

Media team put that verse up for me. I believe it's Luke 11, verse 13. Luke 11, verse 13 says this this is Jesus teaching about how he gives the Spirit. If then, being evil, you know how to give good gifts to your children, saying, even in our imperfectness, we usually do pretty good for our children, how much more will your Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him? I can prophesy boldly, on the word of God, that every soul in here that sincerely asks for a filling of the Holy Spirit today you are tapping into a move of God that's happening across the planet and the Lord will fill you. Some of you will be blessed with different gifts. Don't be afraid, don't be nervous. The tongue flows out of your mouth. Don't worry. If that don't happen, don't worry, but it's about you just being open to the move of God, if you ask. So what I want you to do right now, because this is what the Lord showed me.

Speaker 1:

I had him pray for three categories. I said there are three categories of people in the room today. There are people in the room that have never been filled with the Holy Spirit. Or you're questioning man, have I really been filled? Like, do I have power? Do I have that authority? I want to do something different, because I want to do a special prayer for all three groups. And the first person that's bold. You're going to break through for everybody else. See, you're amongst family.

Speaker 1:

If you're a person that's saying I'll be honest with you, I can't. I'm not sure if I've ever been filled with the Holy Spirit. Maybe I know what I'm saying, I, but I want to know. If that's you, I want you to come right here, pastor. Put your hand right here. Pastor Rosie Young, I want you and Elder K Y'all come right here, come on. Glory to God. Glory to God. Glory to God. Glory to God. There's nothing spooky happening. The Lord save you ass. See, the Lord is honoring the faith moves of these people right here. There's two more categories. I promise you, all of us, should fit in one. The second category, right here in the middle.

Speaker 1:

I know I was filled with the Holy Spirit, but the last season of my life emptied me. Let me give you some Bible to back up the fact that you can be filled with the Holy Spirit and become empty. Acts 2, they get filled with the Holy Spirit. Acts 4, peter and John get arrested. When they get arrested, they life. Glory to God, y'all keep coming. Acts 4, they get arrested and they get their lives threatened and they get abused. When they get a release, they came out, but they were empty from the process of what they went through. So when they got to their other brothers and sisters, they laid hands on them and they prayed, and the bible said the. They prayed so hard that the ground shook and they were filled with the holy spirit again, because it means that if I'm doing this work, if I'm taking care of my family, if I'm taking care of god's work.

Speaker 1:

If I'm just out here, I'm gonna get empty and I want to talk to some people in here that might be some leaders in Leaders. Don't be ashamed of the fact that you may be empty and you got a collar on. Don't be saying, oh man, I'm a leader, I can't come. The devil is a liar. We need you four leaders. There's some empty leaders in this room. You just got to get filled.

Speaker 1:

And there's another crowd right here. Here's another crowd. This is the crowd that the Lord has told me to pray over. Pastor Young is right here. Pastor Chris, I want you right back, right here. And Minister Rhonda Holmes, I want you with Pastor Chris. This is the crowd.

Speaker 1:

The Lord said activate. Do y'all know what that means? Some of you all have gifts, but Paul talked to Timothy about the gift. The gift was there, but the gift needed to be stirred up. You got to activate the gift. Did y'all realize that Some of you are unhappy because your gift has not been activated? There's something in you that's yearning to do more for the kingdom and yearning to do more on the earth, but the gift just has to be activated. So if that's you, you come right over here. We're praying, pastor, I want you to touch, I want you to lay hands, just like Paul did, on everyone that you can, and other ministers. Y'all are free.

Speaker 1:

So I said we got three lines, they're going to be praying. We got people that say I'm not sure if I've ever been filled with the Holy Spirit, but I want you know. I know I was filled, but this thing called life emptied me out. And then you got another crowd saying you know, I think I'm filled, but I think that there's something else that God wants. Or watch this If you ever had a desire for a spiritual gift, the Bible said it's good to desire these gifts.

Speaker 1:

I want you to come over here and pray, because your gift needs to be activated. You know why? I got nine-year-old children in this earth that are dependent on your gift. Did you ever think about it like that? There are people that are dependent on you to be who God has called you to be. We need you to win more than you need you to win. There's something that you can do that nobody else can do, but we got a sturdy gift in Jesus' name.

Speaker 1:

Now they praying, they praying, they praying, they praying, they praying, they praying, they praying. I need somebody working with Pastor Armand Young. Send me one more elder over there to work with him, because there's so many people. We want to touch and agree. We want to touch and agree, but the key is everybody that's at this altar, everybody in the room. The key is to ask.

Speaker 1:

It is out of your mouth that the Holy Spirit is about to fill you, refill you or activate. Now check this out. The activation prayer is going to sweep across the whole room. So, even if you get filled for the first time, I'm praying that the Holy Spirit activates. If you get refilled, I pray that the Holy Spirit activates. Oh, we need all the gifts. We embrace all the gifts. We embrace the teaching gifts. God is about to. There's going to be some new people with the healing anointing. We need all the gifts knowledge and wisdom. We need all of the gifts the prophetic gifts, the apostolic gifts. We need all of the gifts. You just got to be open. Now here's what's going to happen. What's going to happen next is you got to open your mouth. What happens next is you got to open your mouth.

Speaker 1:

Everybody in the room, yeah, I feel the glory. I feel the glory. Lord, we come against anything that is in us. We cast out anything that's not like you. That's in us. We cast out any demonic influence. We cast out any depression. We remove everything that is not like you in Jesus' name. We remove everything that's not like you in Jesus' name. We cast it down, we cast it out. But God, today we're just not going to cast it out. That's going to be a feeling, that's going to be a shift. The bad is being transferred out and the Holy Ghost is being transferred in. I see new gifts being birthed right now in Jesus' name. In Jesus' name, glory, hey hey, glory, glory.

Speaker 1:

If you're in the house, pray. If you, in the house, pray, either praying for yourself or you're praying for your sisters and brothers, ask them sing the glory here comes the glory.

Speaker 3:

There it is. Here comes the glory. Here comes the glory. Here comes the glory. Here comes the glory. Yeah, yeah, here comes the glory. Here comes the glory. Hey, hey, hey, here comes the glory. Here comes the glory. Here comes the glory. Hey, hey, hey, here comes the glory. Here comes the glory. Here comes the glory. Here comes the glory. Here comes the glory. Here comes the glory. Hey, here comes the glory. Here comes the glory. Here comes the glory. Hey, hey, come on, come on, come on, sing. Here comes the glory of the Lord. It's simple.

Speaker 1:

But it got to come out of your mouth Sing the song here comes the glory Into your life.

Speaker 3:

Say it. Here comes the glory. Here comes the glory. Here comes the glory. Sing. Here comes the glory of the Lord. Feel your people glory, sing. Here comes the glory. Everything he's doing in this season, bless it in Jesus' name, sing. Here comes the glory of the Lord. Thank you for our faithfulness. God, a fresh wind. God, use our mind. God, open the door. God, use our inner season. Give us a sign in your ears Glory of the Lord, breathe of the glory. Favor, favor, favor In Jesus' name. His glory is here. His glory is in glory In Jesus' name. Favor, favor, favor In Jesus' name. Open your mouth, family, and here comes the power of the Lord. Here comes the power. Here comes the power. Here comes the power. Here comes the power. Here comes the power. Here comes the power. Here comes the power. Here comes the power of the Lord. Every mouth, every mouth, come on, come on Every voice. Here comes the power. Here comes the power of the Lord.

Speaker 3:

I pray a special blessing for every senior in the room. God has kept you here For a season such as this. We need your wisdom, we need your guidance. Come out of the shadows. The church still needs you. I'm speaking to the seniors in the room. I'm speaking to the seniors in the room. I'm speaking to the seniors in the room. I'm speaking to the seniors in the room.

Speaker 1:

I'm speaking to the seniors in the room Somebody find? Deacon Bailey and Deaconess Bailey Find them and bring them up here to me. Y'all keep praying. Somebody find Deacon and Deaconess Bailey.

Speaker 3:

Bring them up here to me here comes the glory of the Lord.

Speaker 1:

Somebody find Deaconess Bailey. Bring them up here to me. Somebody bring me one of my young adult leaders. One of my young adult leaders. One of my young adult leaders. Yeah, yeah, one of my young adult leaders. One of my young adult leaders, just one, just one.

Speaker 3:

Or, if you're a, young adult and you, bold and steady, in the gap just come up here on this platform with me.

Speaker 1:

Just one young adult, come on.

Speaker 3:

Come on, come on.

Speaker 1:

I just need one young adult. Yeah, hallelujah, thank you, listen, listen For of the seniors in the room, not just calling them out. They are representing all of the seniors in the room, these two amazing women of God. They are still going strong in their 80s, amen. But the Lord is saying we need more from you all. I know y'all are humble enough to watch us young people run around crazy, but the Lord has said it's too much wisdom in y'all. Stand up, be strong. What I want y'all to do, and before we do that same here for our young adults in the room, we're gonna glean from each other. Iron sharpens iron. We're gonna learn from them and they gonna learn from us. And watch the glory hit this house. There will be miracles from all of the generations, but we got to pull together like never before. In Jesus' name, I need everybody in the room that, if you don't have a senior at this church that you're connected to, the Lord is saying get connected, to Ask them their story, ask them how they made it, get connected to them, get connected, get connected, get connected, gotta. Get connected because God has said I'm trying to do something in the Spirit and I gave y'all generations of wisdom that y'all gotta glean from. So the Lord is saying let's glean from each other and watch the ship.

Speaker 1:

Deacon Bailey, deaconess Bailey, before y'all leave, as the Spirit leads you on your way back to your seats, and somebody walking, some of the agents walked in and make sure they don't trip. But I need you to, just I need y'all to touch and pray over a few people. There's something about the prayers that are within you all. I just want y'all to touch and pray with a few people as y'all leave, and then these young adults right here. I just want to pray and tell y'all to get ready. Get ready for what god is doing in this season. I want y'all to get ready.

Speaker 1:

Today y'all are going forward in your ministries. The Lord said it's time for y'all to go forward. You've been with y'all long enough. It's time to go forward in your ministry. If you go forward in your ministry, then everything else will take care of itself. That's a word from the Lord. Go forward in ministry and everything else will take care of itself. No more delay, seniors. No more delay, no more delay. It's time now.

Speaker 1:

Somebody walk with them and I want y'all to pray. I want the four y'all to go pray because we about to go home. I want y'all to touch and agree and pray with people these four I have released to come pray. It's okay if they come with you. I trust all four of them. They're just coming to pray. They're coming to believe god for you because we ain't gonna leave here.

Speaker 1:

Like we came in jesus name and as I was praying for activation, he said for us to activate, we got to connect with some of the gifts that we have already in the house. We got to connect with some of the gifts that's already in the house. So somebody walk with Deacon Bailey and Deaconess Bailey and let them pray for a few people right there. Let them touch and agree. I just want you to walk in Deaconess Bailey and pray for some of these souls at the. I want y'all to do.

Speaker 1:

Listen, family, we're about to go home. We're about to go home, but we're going home on this glory right here. We're going home on the ask. That's because that's all we got to do no gymnastics, no spiritual tricks. Ask. There's some of you that want to get various spiritual gifts in the offices. Ask and have a right spirit. He'll in the office and ask and have a right spirit. He'll give it to you, he needs you and he won't use your ass. So that's what I want to go home on one of the songs that I enjoy, that talk about asking simply this fill us, fill me up, lord. We're going home on that. As a matter of fact, I'm going to pray now and then we're going to sing that on the way out the door.

Speaker 1:

Now, here's the deal. Like I always tell y'all, I'm gonna give an official benediction and you're certainly free to leave at that moment. But if the Holy Spirit is still wrestling with you, I would kindly encourage you to tarry a few minutes longer, because I know the Lord has already filled some of you, but the Lord wants to fill others, and certainly if the Spirit talks to you about a church home, it's time for you to move forward in that as well. You can go right here. There's going to be an elder standing at the door. There's going to be two elders standing over at the door.

Speaker 1:

If God has talked to you about a church home, we would love to have you to be a part of this family, but my primary objective today is to see many people's. We need more apostles, we need more prophets, we need more teachers. We need more healers. We need more people with gifts of discernment. We need more activation of spiritual gifts. I want to see that so bad today. I want to see you get filled so you got wisdom and knowledge, because if you get filled, you get the answer to the unanswered question. So I want to make sure you feel so.

Speaker 1:

All right, I'm going to pray and we're going to sing God and listen. God's just getting started. He told us to come back tomorrow. For those that come back tomorrow, I believe that God is going to move in a supernatural way. You don't want to miss tomorrow night. You don't want to miss it.

Speaker 1:

Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank you for what you've done in this day. I thank you for the people that are being filled right now, before our eyes. People are getting filled with the Holy Ghost right before our eyes. People are being refilled. Their gifts are being activated. We lose new gifts in this house because you said we can bind and loose. We need some new gifts in this house right now, in Jesus' name. We need some new gifts in this house right now, in Jesus' name. We need some new gifts in this house right now, in Jesus' name.

Speaker 1:

Thank you God for the gifts.

Speaker 1:

Thank you, god. You're pouring down. I see gifts. Thank you, god. You're pouring down. I see the shower. I see the shower. I see it right now in the spirit realm. You're being filled. Thank you god for the business owners that are coming forth. Thank you god for the leaders that are coming forth. Thank you god for the administrators that are coming forth. Thank you god for the givers that are coming forth. Thank you god for the healers that are coming forth, the preachers that are coming forth. Thank you god. Fill us up, god, until there's overflow.

Speaker 1:

Thank you for what you've done. Thank you, god for the new partners that you sent. As you send them here, god, let them know that there's a gift that has to be stirred and a gift that has to be used, and they're in a place that they can do both. God for every blessing. We say hallelujah Now. May the grace of God and sweet communion of the Holy Spirit rest, rule and abide with each and every one of us, now and henceforth, and forevermore. Let the people of God say amen, amen, amen, come on y'all. We're going home on this song. May God bless you. May God keep you. Yeah.
